Chapter 8

If you enjoy this novel I would appreciate you rating it on NU.

(TN: Well the other novel is not going to be done by me, so that means we will continue. One addition: This is going to be released 3 times a week now. Schedule will be Sat.u.r.days, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Although, that is tentative. However it works out, there will be a minimum of 3 chapters a week.)

The Edgeworth Private High School has 10 cla.s.ses per grade.

Even when you change grades, you won’t change cla.s.ses.

It would be better to say your cla.s.sroom itself wouldn’t change.

It is a school with an unusual system, in which the cla.s.sroom opened by the graduating 3rd years would become the cla.s.sroom for the 1st years.

Thanks to that, when we started 2nd year we go back to the same cla.s.sroom we started high school in, so there is no need to look for a new cla.s.sroom.

Kaori is combing my hair in our cla.s.sroom.

“Who is it?” (Cla.s.smate)

“Transfer student?” (Cla.s.smate)

“It looks like she’s on good terms with Manabe.” (Cla.s.smate)

“She is super cute!” (Cla.s.smate)

“So pet.i.te and cute!” (Cla.s.smate)

“I want to lick her!” (Cla.s.smate)

I stand out rather badly.

Well, of course I do. I can’t change cla.s.srooms and that’s why.

Students who don’t belong in this cla.s.sroom would stand out immediately.

This is dangerous. I need to blend in as much as possible.

“After all, I’m conspicuous.” (Kei)

“That’s true.” (Kaori)

“Why be so personal? This is familiar to me, but it is also very hard, right?” (Kei)

Kaori was amazed by my light response.

Really, I wonder why? Normally, a man won’t be a woman

Although the impossible happened, I am still very ordinary.

“Is it? Well I’m enjoying this.” (Kaori)

“Well, this will do. OK, done.” (Kaori)

“Thank you.” (Kei)

My hair was combed out and tied up with some accessories. I wonder if it looks good.

I don’t have a mirror, so I have no idea what it looks like.

I stand up and take my bag that was on Kaori’s desk and head to my seat.

My seat, which is where they seat tall people, is in the back. It can’t be helped because students in the back complain that 'I can’t see the black board'.

The cla.s.sroom becomes very noisy.

“Hey, that is Igaras.h.i.+’s seat.” (s.h.i.+zuka)

s.h.i.+zuka Saito who is sitting on the left side of my seat says quietly.

She is a slender beauty with long and straight hair, which glows in the sunlight coming in the window.

“Oh, that’s right, if you sit there instead of Igaras.h.i.+, the black board will be easier to see.” (Yuki)

Yuki Kijima says this from directly behind me. He is only slightly taller than me when I was a man.

The basketball team boasted a certain level of height, but I wasn’t on the team.

“Good morning. This is my proper seat.” (Kei)

“Huh?” (s.h.i.+zuka)

“OK?” (Yuki)

I sit on the seat facing left so I can see the two of them as I tapped my bag on top of the desk.

This is a bag that I had unmistakably used as a man.

My actions s.h.i.+ft the focus of the cla.s.sroom to me.

I see Kaori standing in front of the cla.s.sroom surrounded by her friends.

Just then…

The bell chimes and the teacher walks into the room. It looks like a time out.

(TN: Time out is a sports term used to call a halt to the game temporarily.)

“Good morning.” (Teacher)

It’s a female teacher with a quiet voice. It’s a different teacher than last year, are we going to get a new one?

Everyone focuses on the teacher. That said, it was still the first bell, so is there something wrong? Not everyone is here yet.

“The opening ceremony will be held in the school yard, so please move there.” (Teacher)

“Oh!” (Cla.s.smate)

“Seriously?!” (Cla.s.smate)

Voices rise from here and there. I want to cry out along with them. It’s not in the auditorium?

Instead of saying anything further, she wrote on the blackboard and left the cla.s.sroom.

“Oh, yes, we will continue after the opening ceremony.” (Written on the black board)

“Oh!” (Yuki)

“Well!” (s.h.i.+zuka)

Yuki’s voice was different from his expression, while s.h.i.+zuka’s voice was an explosion of dissatisfaction.

I don't mind, let’s head to the school yard.

I leave my bag and head to the yard with everyone.

Since it is still April, we won’t have to listen to a long story from the princ.i.p.al.

Nevertheless, no one around me is paying the princ.i.p.al any attention.

A lot of them are looking at me.

Each cla.s.s has two lines, one for males and one for females. Of course, I lined up in the usual place.

In the males line.

Not just that, it is also by attendance number. My name is 'Igaras.h.i.+'. So, I’m at the beginning of the line.

No matter how anxious I am, I need to be inconspicuous. The princ.i.p.al soon releases us.

In some ways, I may be saved, because I don’t fit the question.

The end of the opening ceremony is announced and the surrounding people come over to me as a matter of course.

Well, obviously it’s natural. I need to go back to the cla.s.sroom, but who wouldn’t be interested in me who has changed.

Those from the other cla.s.ses are no exception.

“Who?” (Cla.s.smate)

“Igaras.h.i.+?” (Cla.s.smate)

“Just so cute!” (Cla.s.smate)

Similar whispers and cries continue, but let’s leave it at that.

I thought I heard talk of transformation through a slew of other talk. I didn’t pay attention to any of it though.

However, I am not ‘Prince Shotoku’, so I can’t answer the question from all around me.

(TN: If you are curious about Prince Shotoku https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Sh%C5%8Dtoku)

“Yes, yes! What are you guys are doing?! Get back to the cla.s.sroom!” (Teacher)

Just when I was getting a little lost, help arrived in the form of our teacher.
