The car stopped outside an enormous gate and the guards immediately opened the gate, looking in surprise at Jacob. The round- shaped drive through was surrounded by a vast swimming pool and sprawling lawns.

Jacob's heart beat was increasing rapidly, as he drove slowly on the drive-through, stopping mid-way on the porch. He got out of his black colored, maybach sedan and handed over the keys to the gaurd.

He heaved a big sigh, before finally gathering courage to step inside the beautiful house, built according to his father's tastes. Normelly, his father used to wait for him in the living room, reading the latest news on his tablet. But today, the living room was dark and empty.

Suddenly a house maid came running from the kitchen, happy to see Jacob.

"Young master! Welcome back! What would you like for dinner?"

"I am quite full Aunt Samantha. Thank you!" Jacob replied in a dull tone and then straight away went upstairs and turned left, towards his father's room.

Samantha, who was looking at the boy, going inside his father's room, teared up in agony. She was working in this house from past 30 years, much before Jacob's parent's got married. She took care of Jacob, after his mother pa.s.sed away, with full dedication. Samantha was now already 68 years old and she permanently started to live in this house, after her husband pa.s.sed away two years ago!

Jacob slowly entered his father's room and looked around. Everything was still in its perfect place, as it used to be. The large painting of Jacob and his father was hung on the wall. The mahogany bed was covered with blue satin sheets. His father's spectacles and eye mask, were kept neatly on the bed-side. Tears dropped down from Jacob's eyes as he touched his father's evening gown, hung outside a cabinet. He took the gown in his hands and inhaled its fragrance, tearing up even more.

He had not cried from past 2 months. He was in too much of shock, to accept his father's death. He did not enter his home for two months and rather stayed in a hotel. Today his father's empty bedroom was making him realise that his father was actually no more in this world. He was now all alone in this entire world!

He lied down on the bed, covering his mouth with his father's robe. He cried thinking about his misfortune. He had always loved Hanna, ever since his childhood, but she left him in just a blink of an eye.

He cried and cried till he was extremely tired and fell asleep.
