“Mifepristone.” The doctor said, “It was mifepristone. Apparently, Mrs. Huo has accidentally consumed medication that induces abortion.” He pa.s.sed the report to Huo Zhenning whose eyes turned wide in bewilderment. “It’s probably an accidental consumption. I’m sorry.”

“An accident? IMPOSSIBLE!” The paper wrinkled up in Huo Zhenning’s shaky grip, “All her meals were watched over by professional chefs and maids in the house! There can’t be an accident.” He was still in disbelief with every single word he inspected as he read through the report carefully.

Lu Zhaoyang was having the same reaction as Huo Zhenning. She had looked after her mother the past few days. It sounded extremely far-fetched for anybody to accidentally ingest an abortion pill!

If it was not an accident, someone must have done it!

That was when something struck Lu Zhaoyang as she sprinted outside, leaving Huo Zhenning and the astonished doctor behind.

She stampeded to the gate as her fingers furiously tapped for a Uber before she dived into the arriving car that drove away roaring.

Back at Huo family’s mansion, Huo Yunting was laying on his s.p.a.cious bed, snuggling with his pillow as he rebelled against the missing someone on his bed for the past few nights.

Inside his blanket, he then heard the door thrown open. He frowned at first, considering how there was somebody who dared to disturb the young master’s sleep. His blanket was flipped over as he saw Lu Zhaoyang panting before him, s.h.i.+vering in rage.

“Yes my dear? Why did you come home? Miss me?” He rubbed his eyes naively like a baby.

“I should’ve known that the devil never changes. You are just a jerk rotten to the very core!” Her hands were shaking as she pointed at him. She had thought through the case on the way back. a.s.suming it was not an accident, it had to be Huo Yunting. n.o.body else wanted that baby to be gone, that mother to suffer more than this heartless man!

“I thought you could tell if I was a jerk since the beginning. You wanna try me? I can be really bad on bed. You naughty girl,” said the man licking his lips in l.u.s.t as he approached her.

She backed away, “Stop pretending! The results are there. Someone has fed my mother abortion pills and it has to be you, n.o.bODY ELSE!” Huo Yunting retracted his paws as he sat back on the bed, ridiculing her with his smile.

All the drama just to question me? Really? Zhaoyang?

Seeing the devil pulling his smile, Lu Zhaoyang was surer than before. It had to be him.

“You know what, Huo Yunting. You have gone too far this time. You might hate my mother to the core but her baby is still your brother or sister! How can you do this to your own sibling?” Her eyes were red, not sure if it was reddened by her rage or her tears.

“You brought me out these days to all sorts of weird places. Those were ways to distract me. Weren’t they? And it’s all so well-planned that on the only day both your father and I were home, we got to see her suffering! We got to see her bleeding! Can you be more ruthless than this?” She threw her phone to the ground out of immense fury but the man’s smile only had become more profound. There was no explanation from him. Not a word either. He just smiled with every single word his woman uttered. It was meaningless for him to say anything after all since Lu Zhaoyang was utterly sure that he was the culprit.

“You knew it’s risky for my mother to have babies now! You knew she could DIE from miscarriage! And you fed her abortion pills? You not only aimed for the baby, you also wanted to kill my mother! Didn’t you?” She rampaged as she was catching her frantic breath, “You can do anything, don’t you? You can do anything just to get what you want! You could even do something to take somebody else’s life for your pleasure! I’m VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed in you! Huo Yunting, I hate you! Only G.o.d knows how much I. HATE. YOU!”
