Chapter 280 - A Huge Threat

Chapter 280: A Huge Threat

The silver-haired girl was slightly struggling to avoid Han Jin’s fingertips, but she was so tightly bound by the Black Crystal Thread that it was impossible to move.

Then, at the same time, Yalina suddenly rushed into the room and shouted, “Raphael, there’s something that I forgot to tell you before this! Did you find anything… after killing the abyssal demon?”

“Is this what you’re talking about?” Han Jin smiled as he took a magic crystal out of his s.p.a.ce ring.

Yalina’s eyes widened and she nodded non-stop. “Yes! Yes!”

“This should be a Spatial Magic Crystal, right?” Han Jin pa.s.sed the magic crystal over.

“Yes!” Yalina took the magic crystal in her palms and stared at it with love and excitement. “There are very limited amounts of Spatial Magic Crystals on the mainland. We were in the Tarasha Mountains for such a long period but did not find a single Spatial Magic Crystal. This is why they are so precious.”

“We should be able to use this crystal to build a Magic Teleportation Array,” Guevara suggested. He was a soldier, therefore he would think strategically.

“No, that would be a waste,” both Yalina and Jeddes said in unison.

“Then, what are you both thinking of?” Guevara asked with a frown.

Yalina looked at Jeddes and noticed that he was not going to make a comment about it, so she replied, “If we want to build a Magic Teleportation Array, the magic crystals from the Thorn Tigers would be sufficient. We can either buy them or Raphael could hunt for them in the Forest of Holy Animals. Didn’t Raphael say that he would be self-dependent? Hehe… for normal mercenaries, the teleportations skills and mental attacks of the Thorn Tigers may be horrifying, but for Raphael who just defeated an abyssal demon, it’s now a piece of cake to defeat Thorn Tigers, right?”

“It’s not that easy to meet Thorn Tigers, unless… we enter the Lost Paradise,” Majordomo interjected.

“Raphael has no time to travel around at times like these!” Guevara immediately rejected Yalina’s suggestions. “But what were you planning to do with this magic crystal?”

“I haven’t figured it out yet.” Yalina was trying to come up with something.

“Since you haven’t figured it out, then give it to me first.” Han Jin reached out for the magic crystal.

Yalina was shocked. She tightly clenched onto the magic crystal and hid it behind her back. “What do you want?!” The look on her face was as if she was being robbed.

“Uh…” Han Jin was a little helpless and tried to put it nicely, “The magic crystal… seems to be my loot right?”

It was undeniable that Yalina was still considered a reasonable person, so it was a very painful thing for her to return the magic crystal to Han Jin. She was unwilling and was absolutely against returning it to him. However, she had no right to keep it as well. Yalina’s face showed her inner struggles as she decided whether she wanted to return it or not.

“Sir Raphael, you need this magic crystal?” Jeddes softly asked.

Yalina’s eyes lit up as this question immediately solved the issue. If it was possible for her to experience and learn even more beautiful and magnificent magic, not only would she return this magic crystal, she would even be willing to give up all of her previous collections.

“Well, I have an idea but… I still need a medium, if that’s what you guys call it.” Han Jin nodded. “But there’s no rush; I’ll find it sooner or later.”

“Here!” Yalina immediately handed the magic crystal back to Han Jin. However, her huge eyes were blinking like crazy as if they were telling Han Jin that ‘once you find the medium and are about to release your magic, don’t forget about me!’

Han Jin smiled as he took the magic crystal. He turned to the silver-haired girl and softly said, “You know me?”

While Guevara had been complimenting him, his name had been called out, and at that time, the silver-haired girl had shown a weird expression. If it were before, Han Jin wouldn’t have noticed these things, but he was a changed man now.

“Lord Raphael, a powerful dragon slayer, I’ve heard of you.” The girl slowly replied, “You… are qualified to kill Zolof.”

“You’re a sweet-talker.” Han Jin smiled. “Thunder t.i.tan? So you’re from Chesam’s race? You’ve heard about me from Chesam?”

“Yes.” The silver-hair girl replied, “You’re right, and I have to tell you that everything that you’ve done has already hurt Chesam’s self-esteem. He has already sworn that he will come for you.”

“Such a stubborn fella.” Han Jin smiled. “In my opinion, he’s the one who should be punished. He’s involved with way too many things.”

Han Jin’s att.i.tude toward this had drastically changed. In the beginning, when they had killed the vampires and were chased after, he had regretted stirring up trouble, but now, he’ll just kill if he has to; what’s the big deal?! Therefore, his tone was filled with arrogance and even a little sarcasm because he just didn’t care.

The silver-haired girl kept quiet. Han Jin and the others were just standing around her while she was tied to the bed. Plus, Zolof had ripped off a part of her robe. Although nothing was exposed, it still made her uncomfortable. A conversation in this environment was very unfair.

However, the girl did not request for Han Jin to help her. He was the stronger one between the both of them. The superior did not have any obligation to take the initiative as they were only responsible for making decisions. All the explaining, pleading, and begging were for the weak, and after all that, the superior would decide the consequences.

“Chesam is not only stubborn but shameless and cruel. He’s a lunatic!” the girl replied.

“I’ve heard of similar comments.” Han Jin nodded.

“Do you mind explaining why you’re here?” Guevara interjected.

“I am Chesam’s messenger who came to negotiate with Zaganide.”

Guevara was stunned and smiled. “So, Zaganide is not willing to cooperate with Chesam?”

“On the contrary, Zaganide and Chesam have already come to an agreement.”

“I don’t understand…” Guevara’s eye flickered. “Then, why are you…?”

“Chesam’s first condition was to get rid of me.” When she had first heard the news, she couldn’t believe it as well, but after Zolof had left, she thought about it and realized that Zolof had no reason to lie to her.

“Oh? Why?”

“I’m the youngest Thunder t.i.tan in the clan.”

“Oh….” Guevara sighed. For people like Guevara and Jeddes, they were smart people and therefore needed no explanation as they would be able to figure it out with just a slight hint.

“Zaganide is getting more and more stupid.” Guevara shook his head while speaking in a worried tone, “He wants to cooperate with Chesam? I admire his courage! Chesam has the entire thunder t.i.tan race supporting him; what does he have?! Does he really think that everything will be over just by letting Chesam come into the picture? Haha…”

“Seems like you’re not very clear about Zaganide’s ability,” the girl softly said.

“I’m not?” Guevara laughed out loud. “I have been entangled with him for twenty years nows. Friends today, enemies tomorrow. You really think I don’t know him enough?”

“That was in the past.” The girl turned calm as she found something that could show her good intentions. These people standing in front of her really didn’t know about Zaganide’s current status.

“Go on, what is it that I don’t know?”Guevara’s tone was a little sarcastic. Everyone had their weak spots, and because of his personal hatred with Zaganide, he really disliked hearing anyone compliment Zaganide.

“I have to warn you that you are all in big trouble for killing Zolof.”

“Zaganide?” Han Jin interrupted. He noticed that Guevara was acting a little out of control and wanted to take over the conversation to help Guevara calm down.

“No, it’s the abyssal demons! Have you guys ever heard of the Seven Brothers of Wip?”

The rest of them looked at each other and shook their heads.

“Sir Guevara, you have previously fought with the abyssal race. Haven’t you heard of the Seven Brothers of Wip?” The girl curiously repeated the question.

“I haven’t, have you?”

“I…” The girl blushed because she hadn’t heard of them as well. “They are a race that was expelled by the demon clan. There are seven of them, and everyone calls them Seven Brothers of Wip.”

“You mean… there’s seven of them?!” Majordomo Gail exclaimed.

“Yes. The one that Sir Raphael killed is called Zolof, and he is the youngest amongst the seven of them.”

The house became so silent that even the air seemed still. One abyssal demon was already a headache, let alone seven of them. It was a disaster! Although they had already killed one, whether there were seven or six left, it didn’t make a difference.

“If you think that Zaganide is not powerful enough, I can also tell you that Alquete has led a huge group of vampires onto the surface.”

“Alquete? The ancestor of the blood race, Alquete??” Guevara clenched his fist. There were too many things regarding the abyssal race. Guevara may not know all of them, but he was very familiar with the ancestor, Alquete.

“Yes.” The girl said, “Sir, do you still think that Zaganide can’t go against Chesam?”

Guevara’s expression became extremely heavy. This had nothing to do with his ego, but mainly because of the enormous threat that they were about to face.

“If Zaganide were that powerful, he would have attacked Black Raven City,” Han Jin bluntly replied.

“That’s because…” The girl frowned, and after a while, she continued in a hesitant tone, “I think… it’s because something happened in the Underground City that has kept him occupied. Plus… the abyssal demons were only recently recruited. From the way that Zaganide was treating his soldiers, he doesn’t seem to be an easy-going person.”

Han Jin suddenly bent down and looked for a way to free the girl from the Black Crystal Thread. This was enough. Even if this Thunder t.i.tan were to become their enemy after being freed, he wouldn’t regret his decision. She had given them so much information that she had indirectly saved a lot of them, including Han Jin. If he were to just attack the Underground City without knowing this, what consequences would await them?
