After a brief discussion, they proposed a good plan . They tried to make the mussel the scapegoat for the recent disappearance of the majestic beings . If they could convince others, they had more than enough reasons to kill it . Hence, they carefully planned each step and then set the plan in motion .  

For instance, once the mussel was dead, one of them would offer one of his least favorable majestic beings and kill it with the mussel's sh.e.l.ls . By doing so, they could easily fabricate the charge against the mussel . When the structure of their plan was finally well made, they started to surround the mussel .

Altogether, they verbally abused the mussel by accusing it as a monstrous mussel that indulged in all sorts of evil doings . They proclaimed that killing it was as an act of righteousness by removing evil from the Saha World . They declared their action out of a sense of justice; however, their only evidence at the time was the musk deer that the mussel had just grilled . The trio claimed that the musk deer was not an animal in the wild; it was a majestic being that they owned .

Certainly, the mussel defended itself . It made its ident.i.ty clear by bringing up its owners.h.i.+p . Also, it argued strongly that what it grilled was merely an ordinary musk deer . To the mussel's surprise, the Senior Immortals refused to listen to its explanation . Instead, they decided to attack it .

During the fight, they put forward many lethal strikes against the mussel . They intended to pursue it to the brutal end . Meanwhile, they continued to abuse it, saying that it was not qualified to be in the Upper Bound and that even a boar here would be n.o.bler than itself . They called it foolish and a.s.sumed that its owner must be equally dumb . They even threatened the mussel that they were going to cook it, for the taste of its meat must be good .

Humiliating the mussel was part of their plan, as they were concerned that their spiritual power might not be a match for the mussel's incredible strength . They wanted to trigger the mussel to its greatest extent so that it would lose its focus in the fight .

The idea worked . Indignantly, the mussel lost focus and was unfortunately injured by one of their swords . Once it was hurt, the situation was completely reversed . All of a sudden, the mussel's eyes became bloodshot while the color of its sh.e.l.ls turned fiery red . Stamping about in a frenzy, it gave full play to its brutish disposition; its spiritual power suddenly increased by great folds .

The three men were no match for the mussel, so they decided to reveal their true forms . They were a fox, a silver wolf, and a peac.o.c.k . Their sizes were considerably ma.s.sive . In the siege, they fought for a very long time, until the sun had set . The ending was already known . The men failed to capture the mussel . Instead, the mussel had swallowed them all .

All the images were clearly depicted on the surface of the rock . When Di Fuyi saw the big revelation of the three Senior Immortals, he could not hold back his amus.e.m.e.nt . "They were merely three beasts, which had also acquired their human forms . They camouflaged as three Senior Immortals and played a dirty trick in their plot against a majestic being . Isn't it an appropriate ending for them to be eaten? Great Guardians, does this look like a crime to you?"

Tie Zheng was speechless . In contemplation, Di Fuyi gently knocked the rock beside him . "The mysterious man obscured in the dark fog looked fishy . If I am not mistaken, he must have cast something wicked on their weapons . When the mussel was injured, the poison caused its animal disposition to be completely unleashed . "

Tie Zheng found his chance to get away from the embarra.s.sment . Afire with n.o.ble indignation, he commented, "That is right! The man in the fog could be the prime criminal behind the disappearance of the majestic beings . He fooled us all by pointing us in the wrong direction . My prince, allow us to report to the Emperor Immortal immediately and request for more manpower to arrest the man!" He bowed and was ready to leave with the other two guardians .

"Have I allowed you to leave? Are you going to get away with the fact that you have arrested the wrong person?" Di Fuyi halted them .

They were at a loss for words .

"My prince, the lady has already punished us . Like a hedgehog, Tie Liu is injured with many needles pierced through his body . Unable to move, he is still lying somewhere," Tie Zheng explained while putting up a smile on his face to please Di Fuyi .

"It was you who carried out the illegal punishments in the first place," Di Fuyi reminded .
