Nicole faced a lot of hards.h.i.+ps through her life going to shelter homes an group homes, since her mother was a supposed drugged addict back then her twin brother was able to live with a nice family. Nicole didn't want her brother to struggle in the world by himself without her there so she though it was best to for the people who was suppose to adopt her to adopt her brother in stead.

The man an women agreed and took him away. One day Nicole was running away from her lady that was suppose to take care of her inside the group home, she ran as fast as she could hearing the women scream in the distance. She eventually stopped running realizing she was deep in the forest lost and confused. Nicole ran to a lake seeing a man sitting down looking at the stars in the distance, once she reached the destination  the person she eaw was gone she turned around seeing the women from earlier as she grabbed Nicole by the ear taking her back to the home.

The next day Nicole  sneaked out the home again going back to the forest, the world she living in was cruel and she wanted to escape that she also wanted to know what that figure was by the lake. Nicole played in the logs and made herself mud pies.

"why would a such a small girl like yourself be playing in mud?"

Nicole turned around seeing a man in old fas.h.i.+oned wear as she looked at his facial features seeing his short blond hair cover his right eye as seeing such purple pretty eyes even having a ear piercing on his left ear as well. She blushed at his appearance hiding her face from him ; he looked at her up an down slightly blus.h.i.+ng himself from her cute little ponytails appearance.

"are you real, your to pretty to be real..."

"that's because I am a vampire darling, I don't really like your kind to much...such troublesome creatures you humans can ; but children such as yourself have a soft spot in my heart. "

"I was wondering who that person was at the lake...wait your vampire aren't you going to kill me or something...hold on let start running before you strike me down!"

Before Jasper was able to say anything she started running as fast as she could but she was no match for him as she b.u.mmed into him causing him to laugh.

"your such a funny child, if I wanted to eat you I would have done it already in the blink of an eye so please don't compare me to those vampires that you hear in the news or fairy-tails you humans like to read. I was the one at the lake looking at the stars it was rather peaceful until I heard your little foot steps coming this way so I had to go. "

"oh my apologies sir I didn't catch your name?"

"My name is Jasper Wintered a a.s.sistant for prince Charles at the Lilth kingdom, though you are small little thing I doubt you would understand kingdoms and what goes on in them right now .what is yours little one if that's okay to ask."

"My name is Nicole Johnson sir what are u doing here if your suppose to be in the lilth kingdom? Must've been really far since your here in the mainlands"

jasper's eyes softened at Nicole as she looked confused by his gesture " well it doesn't hurt to get a break once awhile we are people as well, see when your a teenager like myself Work is dull and boring you sometimes people need to escape I need to do that right now-."

Suddenly a Vampire showed up out of no where as Nicole screamed loudly leaving Jasper to s.h.i.+eld his body to protect her as he magically pulled out a sword from the ground as he stabbed the vampire in its heart turning into dust. Jasper lets go of her small form as she started to shake wondering what had just happened. Jasper slightly smiled as he patted her head she looked at him with a tear falling from eye, he wiped her tear away.

"There is no need to cry your safe now, I shall protect you until you get home.Though I'm getting use to humans your not at all such a sweet thing you are. I couldn't let that mean vampire kill you that would have been just cruel, you shouldn't be out here in the woods by yourself you could get hurt or even killed. The world is a curel place Nicole why aren't you... afraid of me?"

"I don't really like my home I don't have family there just other kids and one scary lady. I like having a bit of play time by myself alone...alone for which I will spend by myself. Well I'm not afraid of you because you seemed so peaceful when you was looking at the stars by the lake I knew you was different."

"gotta keep pus.h.i.+ng through you'll get through this I know you will, you have someone who's waiting to see you so don't lose hope. Thank you for being an understable, humans don't really like us. "

Nicole looked at him seeing him smile it wasn't out of annoyance but respect to her, Nicole thought there kind was bad but in the end she met a good vampire that didn't really know to much about humans over the past hundreds of years. Jasper studied Nicole body seeing how skinny she was to the point where we can see her cheek bone which wasn't a good sign. He took out a small candy bar that was in his pocket for him to enjoy but he decided to give it to her.

"Here u must be hungry why don't you eat this, its nothing more than "

Nicole s.n.a.t.c.hed it from his hand as she ripped open the warped devouring it in seconds. She must have been really hungry he thought to himself. He looked to his left and right seeing no one there or anyone who was watching him. He didn't want to be out for to long but he thought it was best to take her somewhere to eat.

"Why don't you come with me Nicole, I'll take out to get something nice and hot to eat. No I'm not sending u to you to your death. There should be some type of restaurant that's available, I got it!? Close your eyes if you start feeling dizzy or sick of some sort I"

Nicole looked at him confused as Jasper swiftly grabbed a hold of Nicole carrying her as  he ran letting trees past by so instantly that she didn't see it coming. It never crossed her mind seeing a pure blooded vampire treat her in such a manner. He suddenly used his free hand to open the door to a small frail building. Jasper placed her down as she looked on the inside seeing it to be so clean but the outside look like a dump. Jasper laughed at her thought as he sat on the stool letting as she did the same. The chef who walked up to them.

"Good evening what would u like to have for today. Our special is steak with blo-"

The chef was suddenly cut off by Jaspers hand as he bowed at him.

"What would like to have Nicole anything you want an its yours to have dear"

Nicole looked at the small menu placed in front of her, her eyes lit up seeing her favorite dish. "Oooo I would like to have the potato soup with a cheese sandwich!  Maybe a cup of apple juice would be alright as well."

"Is there anything you like sir"

Jasper leans over the counter telling the chef what he wanted specifically. The chef nodded as he headed to the kitchen,  a waiter placed there drinks on the counter apple juice and a red liquid for Jasper.

"Why is that liquid red! It must red wine!"

"You innocent child this is no red wine but blood Type A in fact."

"What type of restaurant is this Jasper? How did the chef get blood? "

"Blood banks or animals it dependence on what we want. You'll know about this stuff when your older though. This restaurant is a placed for vampire and humans you see there's mostly human in this atmosphere at the moment. Only vampires come here during the night"

Nicole nodded at his words as the plate of food was in front her she looked at Jasper seeing that he ordered the same thing.

"It wouldn't hur to try something new little one" he gave a wink as she smiled grabbing the spoon eating her soup including dipping cheese sandwich in her soup.He did the same thing as his eyes widened at the flavor.

"Such a good combination I guess I learned something new for the day"

"I recommend doing this all the take of you ever make soup. I use to do this all the time when my mother use to make chicken noodle soup with a side of grilled cheese sandwich I miss those days..."

"What happen to your mother ? Don't you have any siblings "

"My mother became a drug addict from what I was told and my brother was adopted to a family. I begged them take him instead of me I wanted him to be happy."

Nicole started to cry as Jasper rubbed her head whispering something her ear as she slowly started to fall asleep resting her head on the counter. For Some reason be hated to see her cry though she is just a little child she does have a rough background. No child should have to suffer in this cruel world alone though he barely knew her it seemed that she was lonely and wanted to escape her life that troubled her. The chef took there plates as he looked at Nicole.

"You two will meet again my sir, I just imagined your future with this child...it won't be peaches and cream she will go through hards.h.i.+ps all over again but you'll be able to pick up the pieces again. It just takes time an ease I wish you luck on your journey"

Jasper looked at the chef as he suddenly disappeared. Jasper left a tip on the counter taking her home. Nicole woke up in her bed looking around wondering where Jasper went , all she remember is eating at a restaurant with him then everything went blank. Jasper suddenly sat down on her bed holding a flower in his hand,  sliding it in her hair as she blushed.

"Nicole before we start playing I want to show u something it'll be the most beautiful place u ever seen,I prepared it for you. So please close your eyes"

Nicole closed her eyes as she felt the wind blow the smell of hickory wood the flowers that had a nice odor of perfume. She opens wide seeing a full field of flowers. She looked at Jasper with a wide smile.

"H-How did you do all do this! Its amazing "

"That's a secret darling Nicole it wasn't easy but its better than nothing is it not. I figured u liked flowers a lot."

"You read my mind! Ohhh I didn't know vampires could do such a thing "

"You can be difficult to read sometimes but yes I did you have good thoughts I hope that can stay with you"

Nicole laided against the flower as he did the same they looked at the sky seeing clouds. They talked and eventually played all of sorts of games with each other jasper still considered himself a teenager helping out a small child that he felt needed to take care of the time being. Over the past couple of months they gotten to known each other more Nicole considered Jasper a big brother but also a friend. The more time Jasper spent with her the more danger he was putting himself against King Chancellor. Jasper did all he could it provide for her but time was short.

Jasper sensed elite vampires  hired by king chancellor to come after him but the bad thing about that was he was playing a game of hid and seek with her at this rate she'll captured though he couldn't afford any slip ups. He snapped his finger as she appeared in his arms as he started to run in the direction of her home. He smiled as the elite vampires stopped him in his tracks. Four to six men armed with dangerous weapon that can instantly kill him in seconds the leader Bane walked towards him holding out a staff.

"Excuse me Jasper but you ordered to go back to the lilth kingdom to receive your punishment from King chancellor himself"

Nicole looked at him with a worried as he smiled at he looking at her as he looked back at bane.

"Let me take her home Bane she has nothing to do with this. "

"Sorry but the girl dies Jasper, king chancellor ordered me to kill the human . She knows to much about us, why even a.s.sociate with a child anyways does one not fear death."

Nicole looked away scared burying her head into his chest as he rubbed her head calming her down.

"That won't happen I won't let u hurt a child...If you make me anger you'll regret it. I swear on queen Anna of lilth kingdom to protect all living things dear to her she taught me of such things.

"Then you both die"

Jasper moved his hair out of his right eye seeing his red and purple eyes turn nothing bit empty no life at all. Jasper extended his free hand as he gave a simple snap letting the elite vampires return back to the lilth kingdom. He sprinted back to her home as she slept the way there once he reached her room he sat her down on the bed rapping her up in a blanket as she smiled. She whispered his name "Jasper thank u.....for being such a good big brother to me...everyday was a joy to hangout out with u in the forest, I can't wait for tomorrow "

Jasper kissed her forehead as he placed the necklace around her neck. "We will meet again little one I promise you I will find u one day.  Right now your safe that's all that matters to me that your okay and well...when you think of that necklace think of good memories we had together."

Jasper placed his index finger on her forehead erasing her memory of him and the event that happen. He heard women come as he stopped midway Jasper kissed her forehead one last time as he disappeared. He later returned to the palace letting the elite vampires put cuffs on his hands. King chancellor had a whip in his hand Jasper looked down he ready to receive his puns.h.i.+ment. Banes lips curled up in a smile as his men threw Jasper on the ground  giving him an endless beat down Jasper didn't scream nor cry he held his pain within him. Once Bane's men finish King Chancellor held his whip tightly in his hand grabbing Jasper by the collar dragging him into his room. It was that day when Jasper didn't regret meeting Nicole only if he could have kept it a secret a little longer.

Nicole woke up holding her head painfully seeing herself back in her room. "J.... I remember a person hmm" it stuck deep in her mind picking up the piece of what happened and what lead to it. She looked at the necklace that was there and forever to keep she promised herself to cherish it.
