56 Chapter 56: You're My Baby

Little Louie wanted a tour around the outdoor park which also has a playground and an adjoining koi pond where guests can feed the fishes for a fee. Next to it was a waterpark-themed infinity pool with yoga decks. A bit further away from the pool area was the open playcourt where guests may exercise and play some sports like basketball and badminton to name a few. The condo was just as extravagant from the outside as it is on the inside.

Sid however haven't yet experienced these luxuries himself for lack of time and probably enthusiasm more than anything else. He had never brought the child around before either. But that would finally change today.

They seldom bond like normal father and son due to his hectic work schedule, so it was such a relief that Sid was currently on leave for a few more days that he get to slack off around some more. If not for Laurice, then the both of them wouldn't be out here together.

...

The duo finally finished the preparations and decided to rest on the couch doing their own thing while waiting for Laurice.

Little Louie was silently reading a book waiting patiently for his 'mother'. On the other hand, his father was busy checking on his phone as usual.

'Working again.'

The little child glanced at his own father for a second before s.h.i.+fting his attention back to reading.

He thought he would forgive the man today since he was able to see Laurice anyway and will be spending time together with her later as well. His mood brighten up a bit thinking about his 'mother'.

...

Sid was going over some emails and thought it was such a rare chance that his spending the day at W Residences while he was off duty. It will be a worthy experience and a good research material as an executive himself.

Under his good graces and supervision, W Residences is now currently the leading condo residence that has the most upscale amenities compared to the rest of the condos around the city. The tough compet.i.tor might have a long history and experience under their belt but soon enough, Sid was optimistic that with his upcoming projects, The Walsh Lifescapes will finally be able to take over the top spot as the best real estate developer in the country.

With regards to retail properties however, Suma Group has been the top retail commercial developer for years now in terms of annual revenues alongside another century old company. Nonetheless, The Walsh Group shares the same prestige as they continue to diversify and expand their businesses.

The man would have never imagined though, that he would be pursuing the heiress of one of their leading compet.i.tors in the industry.

But even though such was the case, he wouldn't mind losing to his 'future wife'. Sid thought to himself that as long as they're together, then everything else is insignifant.

He only wants the woman anyway.

'For richer, for poorer

In sickness and in health.'

Sid solemnly vow as he stare across the direction where his 'future wife' was. And swore than not even death could tear them apart.

It was a pity however that something graver than death is coming between the two of them in the future.

...

Sid s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the little guy beside him and patted his small head. He was getting excited himself for today's itinerary. To be able to spend it with his son and Laurice was what's making the day even more special.

At that moment, the door to the bedroom finally opened.

A beautiful woman walked across the room wearing a belted and b.u.t.toned maxi dress in forest green mint and lilac. It has a kaledoscopic print on it that brings out the signature bohemian edge of the designer brand itself. It was fitted and flowy as if it was tailored to her own body.

Laurice looked so feminine wearing a dress like that. She was doning a pretty sleeveless dress that subtly complements her gorgeous figure. She wasn't fleshy nor skinny at all. Her skin was fair and smooth and glowing in the dress. She wasn't wearing any makeup on her face which only made her look even younger and effortlessly beautiful. The woman also seemed to have lightly curled her natural straight hair. The locks made her look rather delicate and alluring in contrast with her usual carefree and casual vibe which Sid loves just the same.

Laurice was simply stunning.

Sid haven't noticed for awhile that he has been holding his breath from the moment the woman walked out of the room. It was more than what he was expecting really. Laurice was already beautiful enough to begin with, but the woman before him now was just ... breathtaking. He could not keep his eyes away from her. Such was the fact that's making the woman feel uneasy at the moment.

...

Why were the two just kept staring at her?

It was making her freaking nervous!

Laurice was getting self-conscious somehow.

Does she look weird in a dress?

She wondered.

Well it's not like she haven't worn one before but it was sleeveless and printed and feminine. It certainly wasn't her style at all. Not to mention, she chose to curl her hair out of the blue thinking it fits the theme but was it too much then? Does it made her look like she was trying too hard?

Laurice bit her lip anxiously.

She fought the urge to go back inside the room and change into her own clothes instead when a little figure appeared right in front of her.

Little Louie was looking intently at her with his big bright hazel eyes.

"You're so beautiful, Mommy!" The child said as he reached out his arms to touch her.

Laurice was stunned.

She couldn't believe Little Louie will actually praise her. 'Kids don't lie, do they?' She laughed with her naivety and shamelessness. Her uneasiness slowly dissipate. She then gently scooped the little one in her arms and looked back at him.

With a worried expression she asked, "You really think so sweetie?"

"You're the most beautiful mommy ever! And you're my mommy!" Little Louie declared proudly which rendered her utterly speechless.

Laurice felt a tug in her chest when she heard what Little Louie have said.

'Oh Dear! How i wish i'm really your mommy!'

Laurice thought. She wouldn't mind raising a child as sweet as him.

Laurice smiled at the child and he smiled back until they were giggling in each other's arms.

Sid was quite baffled with the scene when he heard Laurice speak again.

"You're the most handsome baby ever! And you're my baby!" She said tenderly.

Little Louie was pleasantly surprised to hear that. He instantly beamed. His eyes were glistening in sheer joy that he almost cried. Indeed, he is his 'mother's' baby. The little one burried his small body unto Laurice and to everyone's surprise, he sobbed.

Sid was dumbfounded.

This was the second time Laurice addressed his son as if he was her own. And this was also the second time around that his son bawled like a normal child. He felt a stirring of his emotions. He was giving another second look on his own life. And it was gradually changing right in front of his eyes.
