51 Chapter 51: Call My Name

'd.a.m.n.'

How can a man's lips looked even s.e.xier than that of a woman's? How enviable!

She could not believe a kiss would actually feel that good. She only had light pecks on the lips with Kai back then. It was sweet and gentle but was totally incomparable with this man's kisses. It was bewitching to the point that she was actually beginning to like them. Like a lot. She was starting to crave for Sid's kisses and she wasn't sure if it's good news or not.

"Enough." Laurice gasped to breathe some air as she spoke right after she broke the kiss. The man was unknowingly starting to crush her mouth! He was deepening the kiss the moment she started nibbling his lower lip.

...

Laurice had no idea how the man was literally suppressing his desire to possess her right that instant. The way she was gently pressing her lips over his mouth was so tormenting he almost lose control of himself.

Both of them almost run out of breath after the kiss halted.

'That was it?' Sid felt a sharp pang on his chest by the unfortunate brief ending.

"That was it?" He shamelessly verbalized.

With flushed cheeks, Laurice shot him a glare.

Laurice pursed her lips as she extended a hand towards the man and ordered, "My phone."

Sid narrowed his eyes as he stare back at the woman. Then he looked at the slender and beautiful hand before his very eyes. He was hesitant but did it anyway.

...

Laurice violently lurched back as she brushed her hands away from the man's loose grasp.

Sid just kissed her palms!

'd.a.m.n!' Who kisses palms?

She was startled like h*ll and did not expect her palm to feel those tingles as if she was electricuted or something. She wondered if she was just being so sensitive with the man's touch or if she was just overthinking it. Surely, men kiss women at the back of their hand, no? But that one felt rather different. His breath and lips felt even more hot in her palms and she was delirious by it.

"Enough already, Sid." She pleaded. Any more feeding her frenzy would drive her mad. The man seemed insatiable. She would rather not satiate his cravings and tolerate his impulsiveness anymore or h*ll will break lose.

Laurice felt complicated all of a sudden.

Weren't she the impulsive one?

Did she not make the first move?

She felt a bit constricted. She was having the urge to just strangle herself to knock some sense back in her brain.

...

"Call me that again." The man responded. A streak of glee flashed across his deep clear eyes. His eyes could never lie.

Laurice knitted her brows and said questioningly, "What do you mean?"

"Call me by name again." The man replied abruptly. A twinge of hope in his eyes.

Laurice realized she indeed called the man by his first name. Though it wasn't really the first time, it still felt somehow different. Like it was the very first time ever she called him that. It was only a slipped of her tongue that she did not mind her manners at all. Laurice was unaware how natural it sounded from her lips. In fact, it sounded endearing in the man's ears. Did something changed?

Laurice fell silent for a moment.

She glanced at the man beneath her.

It was no brief contact. They looked at each other yet again, eye to eye. This time, less of the tension. The awkwardness slowly dissipate as they succ.u.mb in each other's gaze. It was encouraging and comforting and warm. No words left their mouths but from another person's viewpoint, it was as if they've come with another sort of understanding.

...

"Sid." This time, it was Laurice who called the man twice as if she was trying to embed it on her mind rather than calling for the man's attention himself. Weird. His name escaped from her mouth with recognition and praise. The man indeed looked so handsome making her heart beat even faster.

...

Sid just stared at Laurice with longing gaze. It can never get weirder than that. He had never met her once before. It was his first time meeting the woman that day at the mall but it felt as if his heart recognized her at sight. It was as if he had known her for quite a long time already. And only now was he able to discern everything at once. Furthermore, hearing his own name coming from Laurice's lips indeed sounded so familiar and nostalgic. Sid felt like he was dreaming. All these emotions are foreign to him. But it was rather refres.h.i.+ng.

Nothing was even more refres.h.i.+ng though than having a woman straddling on his thigh! He was rejoicing!

...

Laurice already obeyed. However the man was still unresponsive. Just how much more are they going to keep this awkward posture.

'Ting!'

The sudden realization finally hits her.

Laurice instantaneously pushed the man away as she lifted her body up. A streak of guilt flashed across her sullen face. She had been sitting on the man's lap for a long time already and had apparently forgotten about it. It was just too shameless.

"Please give me my phone back. I'm waiting for an important call." She said anxiously maintaining a safe distance between their bodies.

The man looked somehow dejected.

But he relented anyway.

The instant Sid rose, a sound of a phone ringing resonated across the dining room.
