'Was he sleeping already? Can't be, right?'

She discreetly peeked at the man's features and realized that he looks even more das.h.i.+ng without clothes on. Her eyes tried to avoid looking further away from his face but she just could not help it at all.

'd.a.m.n.'

Her fists clutched tightly on the box and her heart begun pounding like crazy. It was another first for her. She was never extremely attracted to a man to such extent before. Never was she bothered by a man's physical presence to the point of losing composure. She was always calm and collected in dealing with her daily affairs be it business or personal affairs.

So despite literally being surrounded by even more gorgeous men abroad, no one was still able to caught her interest.

Not even once.

Suddenly, Laurice was oddly taken back on one particular night and was reminded of a certain man whom she have met two years ago in an evening after-party following a business forum at one of New York's finest hotels. Laurice was invited to attend as proxy and was sent by the vice president himself to represent the company since the latter could not make it to the said event.

She barely remembered the man's face but their encounter somehow made an impact on her. She quite like his crisp and husky voice which somehow still lingers on her that's giving her the same chills. If she may so, it was the type of voice that can send one straight to h.e.l.l. And that was indeed one h.e.l.l of a night for Laurice. She slightly trembled at the thought of that particular foreigner.

While still in a daze, Laurice failed to notice that Sid has already opened his eyes and was staring intently at her.

A visible crease appeared on his forehead. He did not like the idea of the woman thinking about anything else when he's around.

The sudden chilly atmosphere pulled Laurice from her trance. She got gooseb.u.mps all over her arms and noticed Sid's sharp gaze at her.

"Hey! Sorry, did i make you wait?" Laurice said and nervously went towards Sid and sat at the foot stool beside him.

"I'll change your dressing now." She busied herself without looking at him but his fervent gaze is making her even more nervous for some reason. She tried her best not to touch him but it was unavoidable so she could only pray that the man stop staring at her to add to her discomfort. Laurice was like literally holding her breath the entire time. She could not guess what's going on Sid's mind but she knew for a fact that he's all the more dangerous when he's being silent.

Soon she finally managed to finish wrapping his wound and stood up to excuse herself when Sid also stood up to stop her.

Sid tugged at her s.h.i.+rt and unceremoniously spoke, "Aren't you helping me get dressed?"

He sounded like he was ordering her to help him into his clothes rather than requesting.

Laurice shot him an incredulous look when he continued, "You promised."

'Promised?

I did not promise you anything sir.'

Laurice could clearly see the impatient expression on his face and was wondering if he indeed needed help but she worry that he might get cold if he sleep without clothes on. It was rather cold in the room.

She tilted her head nervously to look up at him and when their eyes finally met, their gaze locked up at each other. Her anxiety was instantly lifted by that pair of brown eyes. Laurice was so drawn towards his gaze as if she was being pulled into a deep abyss that was leading only towards this man's arms. Only he can make her feel like her body was being suspended in air. She even felt like her own body wasn't hers anymore.

Laurice did not have any intention of averting her eyes yet but she was starting to feel a slight stiffness on her neck since the man was so tall. Her eyelids quivered. But the sudden feel of a chilly hand gently caressing her neck made her gasp for air that even her entire body quivered.

She was a bit distracted by the sudden contact that she retreated a step back but another hand pulled her back from the waist and lifted her chin up and she was again greeted by a pair of deep brown eyes. His eyes looked rather hungry while staring at her eyes s.h.i.+fting down to her lips. Her throat was running dry from an indescribable antic.i.p.ation.

His lips looked so moist that she almost wanted to touch them. The man seemed to have seen through her that he begun closing in the gap between their faces. Laurice could now feel his warm breath fanning against her face. His hunger reflected her own hunger when the tip of their noses slightly brushed against each other. Laurice felt like melting away that her knees started to wobble. As if on cue, Sid supported her weight with both his hands on her waist. Laurice could feel the warmth from his body through her clothes that she suddenly felt greedy for more. She unconsciously locked her arms around his neck. A glint flashed past Sid's eyes with her sudden reaction that made him entwined their bodies together in one swift motion.

Laurice gasped sharply when she felt his bare skin against her palms. It was cold and yet her entire body felt burning against his. She could feel his warm breath against her neck that made her ticklish all over. The instant Sid sniffed her familiar faint sweet scent, he buried his face against her hair and delve unto her slender and smooth neck. Laurice felt a s.h.i.+ver down her spine when his nose brushed past her earlobe while his hands was slowly making it's way up her back. She unknowingly arched back by the sudden sensation as if giving more access to the man to touch her while she ran her fingers up his scalp and curl it against her fingers and gently pull it by the ends.

d.a.m.n! The man is making her feel a lot of things at once it was driving her crazy. It was too stimulating.

Both of them were already panting rapidly by the surge of heat and hightened sensations from merely touching when Laurice felt Sid's hot and hard rod poking against her belly.

'The man was definitely aroused to such extent!' She was so shocked by the sudden realization that her body trembled. Laurice felt a tinge of fear with his arousal but a profound sense of desire intensified from within her. She was so close to her own arousal that she did not realize that the man had already carried her on his arms and gently laid her on the bed. The moment her back felt the soft mattress she felt a strong urge to pull the man back against her body that was feeling rather empty without his strong arms. Sid joined her immediately on bed and moved on top of her while supporting his weight with his arms. He was staring intently at Laurice as if memorizing her face while tracing his fingers on her cheeks and jaw until he was satisfied then he lightly pinched her chin as he inch closer aiming at her lips. Laurice instantaneously close her eyes and waited until his lips touched hers.

His lips?

Laurice felt a palm closed her mouth forcibly instead and was disappointed for a second that she abruptly opened her eyes.

'Where's my kiss?'

Suddenly, a low and terrifying voice echoed near her ears.

"Get your pretty but* out of here and go to your bed!"

Laurice tilted her head towards where the voice was coming from and saw Dylan right beside her keeping her mouth tightly shut. He had an extremely ugly expression on his face. The moment she met his blazing eyes she instantly realize what had just happened between her and Sid that made her so embarra.s.sed and frightened that she resisted underneath. She freed herself and sprinted out of the room without leaving a word.
