24 Chapter 24: Don't Tempt Me

Her words echoed on his ears like a careless whisper. Sid froze in his seat.

The woman' sultry eyes was looking at him with her lips slightly pursed rather provocatively. 'd.a.m.n those s.e.xy lips.' His deep gaze glinted with thirst. How he wanted his mouth to hover those luscious peach lips. He wondered if they would taste as sweet as he had imagined.

'He bet it would and probably better.' He smirked inwardly.

He could not take his eyes away from her lips until he noticed the sway of her hands when she gently lifted the cup of tea on her mouth. It was too suggestive it was making his blood boil. His manhood twitched when the woman unwittingly opened her mouth as she blew some steam with her breath and drunk from the cup. He wondered how warm her breath would be on his own bare skin.

He was tempted, no doubt about it.

'Heh! You're quite bold my darling.' Sid thought.

His eyes flickered with amus.e.m.e.nt.

The woman must have been p.i.s.sed with him teasing her so she was trying to return the favor in equal fervor. Too bad for her, he was actually enjoying this sweet little revenge of hers.

Hmm.

It seems his little 'wife' is a force to be reckoned with. But question is, will he let her win without even trying? But does he even really need to try?

'Well, let's see how far she can go.'

There was glint of mischievousness in his eyes.

...

Laurice was surprised when the man suddenly plunged at her to the corner of the sofa trapping her in between in his arms. The man somehow managed to do so without her even noticing.

Sid was hovering at her with his lean broad shoulders in full display and was only inches away from her that she could actually feel the warmth emitting from his body.

She was stunned and was not able to move a limb. She instantly got a whiff of his light fragrance that she was starting to get addicted with. Her mind was muddled and she could not keep track of her own thoughts. 'He smelled so great it was making her want to bury her face on the side of his neck and linger there, and nibble his ears, his adam's apple, his broad chest, his ...'

'Stop it Laurice! Any further down south and you'll get yourself in trouble!'

She started panicking inside. Her heart is beating so fast. She did not dare look at the man. She knew her face was flushed. It was burning from the sensations she was getting from their bodies almost brus.h.i.+ng together. The friction is sending s.h.i.+vers down her spine.

Sid cleared a lump on his throat and said to her, "Don't tempt me, Ms. Azul." His deep voice was hoa.r.s.e and low as if sending her warnings.

Her body trembled.

A sudden realization struck her.

"Get away from me!" She said rather furiously.

It took her a long time to figure out how to escape from the man. With a bit of rationality left of her, she pushed the man with her hands and ran a distance far away from him. She was clutching her chest trying to even out her breathing. Her palms was still hot from the sudden contact with him. It was too stimulating that she even fought the urge to pull him back and run her fingers around his chest. She felt her throat was drying.

d.a.m.n.

She nearly succ.u.mbed to his temptation.

'Wait, who's tempting who?'

Karma is indeed the devil.

'No, no no this man is the devil himself.'

She shot the man with a disgruntled look on her face only to find him sitting rather comfortably lying his back on the sofa with his legs-crossed.

'How dare he took advantage of me?'

Sid was amused how the woman was suddenly reacting as if she was being hara.s.sed.

...

"Trying to get away after flirting?" Sid blurted.

A smile pasted on his handsome face.

His eyes were sparkling with amus.e.m.e.nt.

"You started it!" Laurice scoffed.

"What did i do?" He said rather innocently.

Laurice was dumbfounded.

'Huh! This pretentious devil!'

'His really getting into my nerves.'

Always trying to push the blame on her.

She was the innocent one.

Or perhaps not.

'Fine. She's guilty of provoking him but does he really need to provoke her back?'

What could have happened if she didn't pushed him away?

She shook her head roughly before any possibilities surface her mind.

...

Laurice bit her lower lip.

She have never known herself to have such strong libido but whenever the man is close to her, she just could not help but think of perverted thoughts towards him.

'Was she really that attracted to him? Well, the man is extremely attractive indeed but is she willing enough to keep him to her side?'

Sid is an unpredictable guy.

Laurice did not know how to handle such guy.

But she was surprisingly enjoying his company.

'It would not hurt to give it a try, i guess?'

...

Laurice was finally able to relax after getting herself a gla.s.s of water. She drunk two gla.s.ses and was pouring another one when she noticed the time. The sun is already setting. She s.h.i.+fted her gaze towards Sid who was slumped on one corner of the sofa with his eyes closed. The man appeared to be sleeping. She could hear a silent wheeze coming from him. Indeed, the man was asleep.

Laurice felt a tugged in her heart to see him sleeping rather uncomfortably in such position.

'His body might sore all over.'

Laurice then walked towards one of the guest rooms and got him a pillow and a blanket.

She was hesitating whether to wake him and let him sleep on the room instead but did not have the heart to do so. She just covered him with the blanket and placed the pillow to his side for support.

She could not help but looked at him while sleeping.

The man is indeed very handsome.

His face looks fresh and charming, the kind of charming that could be wicked as well. She knew he was a serious man but he wasn't intimidating at all. He was a natural tease but was indeed a gentleman. He could be bold and domineering but he wasn't repulsive. He was a warm person. That she is certain of.

It seems her heart is wavering.

Her face softened.

Looking at the man's sleeping face is somehow making her feel calm and collected, pretty much the opposite when he was wide awake. She was fighting the urge to trace his face with her fingers.

She heaved a sigh.

Soon enough, she was starting to doze off herself.

Thinking it might not be too bad to sleep beside the man, she took the place on the other end of the sofa and gently lied on her back. Good thing the couch was wide and long enough to accommodate them both.

...

Unbeknownst her, a certain man was already awakened moments ago.
