To be honest I have no idea what the exact family relation is either. Its really not that important to have it explained, but Im going to anyways. Bai-s.h.i.+ as a shu daughter actually cant acknowledge her real birth mothers maternal family as family, but must recognize the di wifes maternal family as her family, even though its only in name and not by blood. This uncle is probably a cousin of her familys di mother.
