"To the people of Listia!"

"To the people of Listia!"

Spring-Autumn awakened to the jarring noise of the announcement by the military. It's been a couple of weeks since Spring-Autumn and Blue decided to hide in her house to wait for the announcement from the military.

He scratched his head and stretched his body as he thought: "Is it really a good idea to make such a commotion in a city filled with monsters?"

Blue awakened as well. There was a trace of excitement in her calm eyes. It was evident the announcement from the military gave her hope. They slept in the same room but not the same bed. Spring-Autumn, as a self-proclaimed man of dignity, slept on the floor.

Of course, during the period the two experienced many awkward moments together. Spring-Autumn was at the height of his youth while Blue was like a ripe fruit waiting to be devoured.

Spring-Autumn has recovered from his injuries. At the same time, he has been exploring the height of his new abilities. Since his awakening, he has been feeling better than ever. He also started working out again to maintain his physique.

"Let's get out of here." He said after consuming the first meal of the day which consisted of flowers, flowers, and flowers.

The sight of the ruined city became a familiar sight after a few days. The strange sight now would be the sight of a flouris.h.i.+ng city. It was no longer snowing. The sun was peeking through the clouds, exposing them to a much-needed warmth, even if it's just a little bit.

"The 4th Ward isn't far away from here. Let's hurry."

While on the way to the survivor camp, their small talk started.

Blue started: "Hey, Season."

"What?"

They kept a steady pace in their walking speed, making sure to take caution as they proceed. One could easily trip on the road when debris from buildings are on the road.

"Do you ever think about what happened to our cla.s.smates?"

"They're probably dead." He said without much emotion.

"You don't seem to care very much? I feel guilty."

"You don't seem to care very much either. Why do you feel guilty? I was the one who grabbed you out."

"When you word it like that, it makes me wonder why you chose me." She looked down slightly as she said so. He could not see her flushed face.

"Didn't we have this conversation already?"

"..."

Their steps halted. Ahead, there was a crowd of people. Leading them was a man in camos with platinum blonde hair. With a sharp jawline and high cheekbones, he was a very handsome man that was the ideal of Listian people.

A feature every Listian shared was their pale skin and prominent frame as seen in Blue. She did not have the platinum blonde hair and blue eyes like the ideal Listian but her skin was very pale and she was very tall for a woman compared to the people of other nations.

The people crowding around him were in miserable conditions. They look like they just went through a dust storm with their torn clothes and dirtied faces. In contrast to them, Spring-Autumn and Blue were like actors from a modern-day movie that came to the wrong movie set.

The blonde man with hair so light that it was silver color jumped down from his crate and approached them.

"You guys are in very good condition for a survivor." He said smilingly as he approached. "I'm Captain Silver. These people are survivors I picked up on the way so you can join us. Right now, we're just taking a little break before we proceed. The other guys over there by the crate have food so you can get it from them."

Captain Silver did not wait for their response before taking off. He came fast, spoke fast, and left fast.

"Well, well, that's convenient." Spring-Autumn did a light cough before following Captain Silver.

Things became much easier when the two joined the group under the military. It was an unexpected surprise. They did not have to worry much about monster attacks when the military would just mow them down with their guns. They took frequent rests and they had an ample supply of food.

Unsurprisingly, the two received hostile gazes from other survivors who were in miserable conditions. Under these dangerous conditions where life and death were uncertain, human nature was at full blast. They could sense the intense jealousy from the gazes of others around them.

To this, Spring-Autumn took the hand of Blue and held it. They've gotten close enough in these few weeks that an unknown bond was forming between them. It was an interesting development. After all, the only reason Spring-Autumn took Blue out with him was because of her attractiveness. They were not close enough to be considered friends, but not far enough to be considered acquaintances.

Her hands were soft and cold, just like how he expected them to be. Her ears started to blush a pink hue as a reaction but she did not shake him off. And with this, they walked together with the crowd.

Before long, night fell. Everyone instinctively knew that danger was coming. For the survivors that survived this long, they knew what came with the darkness. Even the soldiers around them started to tense up from their former relaxed form.

Spring-Autumn held Blue closer and then proceeded to move towards the middle of the crowd. The safest place would be the place where he had the most meat s.h.i.+elds surrounding him.
