The 28% is a large amount with more than 5 billion population in this world. From this 28%, the 4% of it were people that has mana affinity but was extremely low.

It was only when all mana users got used to this brain-boosting artifact that they realized how difficult it was to get an upperhand. There are even cases of fight between two mana user lasting for more than a day but still no one got an upperhand in the fight. It was like a battle of attrition instead and will determine who has a larger pool of mana.

If both mana user fought with same 4th generation artifact. The manipulation of formless mana to attack or defend is how they fought. Obviously, with the breakthrough made by Aeolia, the way how the mana users fought was changed.

The creation of 5th gen was also the start of calling mana users a "Magician". It was because of how a mana user previously controls the formless blue light of mana and was changed to a control of elements as people see it.

Magic Engineers in recent years acc.u.mulates prestige and honor by creating a different path or way on how elements can be used. Although the 5th gen was over a century old already, the creative way of using elements has given the magic engineers a lot of roads for development. Creations of different mana artifact can make the combat magicians capable of adapting to any situations and fight in any form of environment which can also give advantage depending on how mana artifact was made.

Wallace was now on his way to the Academy and he was reading the book again as he found something unusual on how Aeolia died. He found that Aeolia seems to be hinting about the possible path for further development of Mana Artifact. Wallace kept it in his mind and stored his book on his bag. He'll think more about it later.
