20 Luke - His Story 3

He was extremely impressed with Zia's qualifications. The information about her parents and her brother was also impressive. She belonged to an intellectual family, learned in their own field quite similar to that of his own family.

Her precious G.o.d-given gift about having premonitions i.e. predicting or seeing events of the future was something he had heard about. These persons were very sensitive to nature as they perhaps received messages through plants thus becoming clairvoyant and clairaudient.

The vibrations she felt from plants and animals were something new for him. He had never heard about anyone feeling the vibrations from plants and animals and plants to feel their illness and offer a.s.sistance as healing. This was something beyond science. It was quite possible as many people with their willpower could bend spoons and forks, break gla.s.s, etc. It was related to ESP (extrasensory perception) and the communication was through telepathy. This was a new field which needed a lot of research. In the future, such a field could help mankind to heal himself. Buddhism believes that the illness in a person is caused due to the overproduction of something or the underproduction of something. Once the correction was made then the normal level of the hormones, chemicals, etc could be achieved and the illness would be healed slowly within a few days.

He had heard about the aura or read about it on the internet. It is basically a peripheral vision. As children, we have this peripheral vision. Once we start going to school and see the blackboard, we forget that peripheral vision existed. We think it has disappeared or we were just imagining it.

This gift is lost but when you come into spirituality yo relearn about peripheral vision and how to use it. Those who possess this gift can help others overcome depression and many stress-related diseases. It can help calm the hear, it helps in many health issues.

If she wanted to learn Reiki, it was very good. He would not mind learning it so that all his health-related issues would be nipped in the bud. Reiki was a good healing therapy which used positive energy / spiritual healing. At a higher level of learning, you would be in a position to send spiritual healing to persons who were living far away. It was something like telepathy and this energy would only do good as it was positive energy using G.o.d /spiritual/universal energy. Positive energy is always good. It did not harm anyone.

Luke thought a lot that night about the information that Sherpa had conveyed to him. He could not sleep. It seemed as if sleep had vanished from his eyes. A lot of things were on his mind. The inputs about Zia fascinated him. He had never met a person with such qualities. He knew that if he asked Zia about these things, she would talk to him. Sherpa's words kept rotating in his mind like a song was played in a loop on YouTube.

Thinking of a song reminded him to check his phone that he had put on charging. Now, he felt like listening to his favorite song that he had saved on his mobile. Before he started the song, he took out his gun and placed it on the side of his sleeping bag. Then he got into his sleeping bag and scrolled on his mobile for the song folder and found his favorite song. He closed his eyes and listened in rapture to the melodious song with heart touching tune and heart touching words.

From moment to moment, you live close to my heart.

Life is a sweet thirst, you tell me that.

From moment to moment, you live close to my heart.

Every evening upon my eyes, your scarf does flutter.

Every night memories, come by in a marriage procession.

As I breathe in, I inhale your fragrance.

Enclosed in sweet fragrance, your message comes.

My heart beat also sings your songs.

From moment to moment, you live close to my heart.

Life is a sweet thirst, you tell me that.

I saw you yesterday, in my courtyard.

You were telling me, to tie you in a relation.

What sort of a relations.h.i.+p is this, what sort of a dream is it?

It does not belong to me, why do I feel they are mine?

I continue to ponder, and with fear I say.

From moment to moment, you live close to my heart.

Life is a sweet thirst, you tell me that.

You must be thinking, why I should love you.

You may think me mad, why not to acknowledge.

Lovesick people; know about what all they talk.

What is the fun in getting burnt, that only the moth knows?

You keep coming into my dreams and so keep burning me.

From moment to moment, you live close to my heart.

Life is a sweet thirst, you tell me that.

As soon as the song finished, the next one started to play and so on. Luke did not know when he fell asleep listening to this soothing song imagining himself serenading the song to Zia. He did not have many songs in his playlist. Soon his mobile became silent.

It was about 4.30 a.m. when Luke woke up with a start. His gut feeling told him that everything was not normal. He had a premonition that something bad was going to happen. This was nothing new. He would get these feelings which meant trouble was on the way. Here' what would cause trouble but an earthquake, a snowfall, an avalanche or wild animals? There was no chance of an earthquake or snowfall or an avalanche. So, his ESP(Extra Sensory Perception) was indicating some danger was about to befall them soon.

His senses were highly sensitive. At around 4.50 a.m. he felt that some animals were checking out the tents of the campers. First, the animals sniffed outside his tent then they circled the tents of the children. His sixth sense told him that one kid was in deep trouble. Wild animals do not come so close to the tents unless someone had been eating in the tent or had food with him.

Luke got up slowly; he picked up his gun as well as his mobile and slowly unzipped the entrance. As he came out he could see the moon had moved towards the opposite side in the sky. In the moonlight he spied a group of bears moving towards the forest side. But one bear had stayed back to sniff out the food in one of the tents. Slowly the bear stopped at the tent of Ben and Danny and was trying to rip it apart. Luke quickly fired a shot at the lone bear.

The Bears had been moving through the forest areas and had followed their scent and the food scent right up to the camping site. The bears had stopped at their stopping area where they had had their lunch. They even found a few pieces of food dropped by the campers.

They neared the camping site and found the died out fire area, but there were no leftovers there. The bears could smell the food as the scent was quite strong here. First, they all made their way to the last tent opposite the cliff side. But strange noises were heard coming from inside the tent and they seemed to be even more terrifying than their grunts. They thought there was some other dangerous creature inside this tent. Actually, it was Sunny and Sherpa snoring away in a snoring compet.i.tion. The rest of the bears moved to the periphery of the forest and one daring bear made his way sniffing at the food scent right up to Ben's tent. He was the hungriest and thought he would get something to eat from inside this tent.

It was around 5 a.m. when the bear started to pull at the tent in which Danny and Ben were asleep. The tearing sound and the grunt sounds and Ben's screams broke the sweet dreams that Sunny and Sherpa were having. Sherpa quickly jumped out of the sleeping bag and raced towards the exit of their tent telling Sunny to follow suit. Within seconds Sherpa was out of their tent and running towards the entrance of the tent of Ben and Danny. Sunny slowly followed Sherpa in coming out of their tent.

Sherpa reached the outside the tent entrance of Ben and Danny. Just then a shot was fired. Sherpa helped the two frightened boys to come out. Luke was running towards the back of the tent with his gun and fired another shot. The huge animal which had been trying to rip the tent apart took to his heels after hearing the second shot as the bullet just missed his ear by a few inches.

After the bear ran off, Luke came over to Danny, Ben, and Sherpa who had helped the two boys get out of the tent. He wanted to know if both the boys were ok. When he found that they were just scared and Ben was shaking a lot. He asked Sherpa to give Ben a gla.s.s of normal water with sugar dissolved in it to calm him down as he was in shock.

Sherpa immediately ran to the tent he was sharing with Sunny and got out his sugar solution. He carried it in a paper cup to give to Ben. Sunny also joined them and so did the rest of the campers. All of them knew that Ben must have been eating in bed as is his habit.
