20 A Taste Of Her Own Medicine

Hesitation…

With pursed lips and scrunched eyebrows, Louis' blatant hesitation was p.i.s.sing me off. I inwardly sighed as I dangled the last bait for my prey.

I whispered to his right ear like a serpent tempting Eve to bite on the apple.

"I believe you don't want to stay forever in the shadow of your big brother. Keeping the engagement with me will not only put you on the brighter limelight than your big brother, but it can also pave your way to the highest stage of the business world. Remember, I am a Burnsworth."

The hesitation on Louis' face cleared up and one of his arms suddenly found its way around my waist. My wicked smile then surfaced.

'Fufufu~ Hook, line, and sinker.'

I gave him a kiss on his cheek and chuckled.

"For once, you did a good choice kid."

I freed myself from his arm and stood up.

"You may go back to your parents and tell them about the good news."

Louis looked dazed but he still managed to nod as a reply then made his way out of the indoor garden.

Once Louis was out of sight, I slowly walked to a palm tree which was located just a few meters from the bench.

"Oh my, I'm surprised to see you here Miss Harlot." I snickered.

The gentle and innocent façade was gone with *her face now as black as charcoal. Her expression was so wonderful that my hand swiftly took my cell phone from my pocket and unhesitatingly took pictures of her.

"What do you think you're doing?!" She shrieked as she hurriedly ran towards me and tried to s.n.a.t.c.h my cell phone.

I managed to avoid her hands and took a few steps away from her.

"Isn't that supposed to be my question? What are you doing here, Miss Harlot?" My reb.u.t.tal stopped her on her tracks.

"Oho~ First, seduction and now, it's stalking? You certainly are a talented woman, Harlot."

She shook her head as she stuttered. "Louis… He texted me… to…"

"Louis certainly is considerate of me!" I put on a smitten look. "To think that he would show to you how much we love each other… I guess actions speak louder than words."

'Sounds too ridiculous? Bah! Who cares?! Too bad, it wasn't Louis who sent the message. It was me, b.i.t.c.h!'

Everything was planned. What happened between Louis and I was a show that I wanted for this b.i.t.c.h to watch.

"I don't believe it… The one that Louis loves is me…" She slumped to the floor then looked at me with an incredulous look. "You s.k.a.n.k! You're taking Louis away from me!"

"Oh please, talk about *the pot calling the kettle black!" I sneered. "Harlot, may I remind you that it was I who was engaged to Louis since childhood. Then you came and brazenly approached an engaged man."

I took a step near her, put my hands on my slender waist and haughtily looked at her.

"Now, tell me Harlot. How does it feel to have your man taken away from you?"

Harlot was utterly speechless as her tears kept on flowing and her eyes locked on me with anger and defeat.

Hurtful words coming from my alluring lips? Slaps from my delicate hands?

No… Those aren't the right weapons to hurt Harlot to the core.

She needed to experience it. She needed a taste of her own medicine.

"Social status?

You're an ant while I am a dinosaur.

Beauty?

I'm a G.o.ddess while you're just a mortal princess.

Talents?

I have enough talents to astound everyone in the world while yours are too mediocre for praise.

Intellect?

I'm a genius while you're a f*cking r.e.t.a.r.d.

You might've won the battle but you, Charlotte Logan, you can never win this war."

My statements made Harlot's face more horrid than it already was. Alas, the b.i.t.c.h was still in denial.

"No… No… Louis loves me… He said he loves me…" She spoke desperately.

"Harlot, life is a drink while love is a drunk. Us, women, are the alcohol that makes men drunk. Now tell me, why would a man settle for a cheap beer when he could drink the most intoxicating tequila?" My voice contained scorn and ridicule making her tremble.

Harlot was now bawling out which attracted attention from some people who were in the vicinity. Thus, I took this as a cue to leave her so that she may embarra.s.s herself in the eyes of the strangers.

'Oh Harlot~ pitiful Harlot~ Feel the despair and pain that the old Maria felt when you took Louis away from her. I will shred your heart into pieces, figuratively and LITERALLY.'
