Pu YunJi is already in the princ.i.p.al's office because his parents were persistent about sending him to school. Sir Lee was droning on about how productive and good the school's environment is, most of the content was targetted for him to transfer onto his parents. This is all only because his father; a very influential doctor and a CEO of a medical school, and his father had donated a sum of money to the college.

YunJi was half dozing off. He had stayed up trying to gain inspiration to compose more songs to try and be a solo singer. Waking up so early for college does not put him in a good mood. The fact that it is a Monday does not help and all Sir Lee's droning is just making him irritated.

Just when Pu YunJi was on the brim of blowing up, a soft knock can be heard from the other side of the door, resounding throughout the whole princ.i.p.al office. "Come in!" Sir Lee immediately went back to his seat from pacing around the room.

The door slowly creaked open. Just then, a light breeze blew open the curtains of the princ.i.p.al's office windows and the soft morning light fell on the girl who walked in just then. With the light s.h.i.+ning gently on her and the breeze caressing her hair, she looked just like an angel.

Whats more, she was wearing white, and that made her seem so pure and innocent, like a true angel. Pu YunJi's angry and tired thoughts immediately vanished and his originally planned scorned of being earlier was long forgotten. Forgetting himself, YunJi stared a tad to long, open-mouthed, at her. It was not until Sir Lee welcomed her in did he snap back and look away.

"Miss Qin! Thank you for coming! Please, take a seat."

It's not like she was forced to come anyways, Qin XiuTing mumbled to herself sarcastically. She did not intend for her complain to be heard by anyone but the second after she grumbled that, a stifled laughed came from the chair beside her.

Raising her eyebrows, Qin XiuTing proceeded to inspect Pu YunJi's appearance. YunJi had heard her comment but all along he was facing Sir Lee, who is opposite them, hence he did not know he was being critiqued.

Hmm.. Undercut hairstyle with a dandy fringe [1], a Nike windbreaker and a Adidas sneakers. The kind of guy every girl dreams about, with all the branded goods and a charming aura. However, Qin XiuTing was very good at reading people. From how she saw Pu YunJi's mismatched brands, she immediately knew that he did not have a good night and had rushed out of bed.

Overall, Pu YunJi seems very tired so Qin XiuTing was glad she manage to let her charge laugh.

"Miss Qin, this is Pu YunJi. Mr Pu, Qin XiuTing." Sir Lee waited for them to acknowledge each other before going on about what Qin XiuTing will do and can do for Pu YunJi and how they are expected to cooperate and help each other improve in school.

It was good that Sir Lee had given them time-off until lunch break, for Sir Lee talked for a good 1 hour, before he finally let them get acquainted with each other and the school.

Stepping out of the Management Office, Pu YunJi initiated the conversation. "Is he always like this?" Qin XiuTing politely smiled and replied, "I actually have no idea, I did not have much need to talk to Sir Lee before. But I guess he just wants you to feel welcome and not unsure."

"Alright, what cla.s.s are you in?"

"I'm in T101, you are in T102, we are to have many module lectures together."

"Then why not the same cla.s.s?"

"Because one has to be academically proven to get into T101."

Finally, Pu YunJi has had enough of Qin XiuTing cold demeanour and factual, straight-to-the-point answers. "Whats up with you?" He burst out, "Why are you so displeased with everything I say? Or are you a robot? Huh?"

Shocked by his sudden outburst, Qin XiuTing first stared at him. Then, when his piercing glare at her broke her out of her trance, she smiled a little before laughing. Then the laughing got a bit too much as she started crying a little. It was not until a few moments later, with Pu YunJi staring a her like she is an alien, did she finally gained back controls of her emotions.

"I'm sorry. I.. I have always been like this. I do not know how to interact with others. During break, you will see that everyone here avoids me. You are like the first around my age human I have spoken to in a while, unrelated to under official requirements and I really do not know what to do. I am sorry if the way I speak upset you, its how the adults expect of me, and how my.. those in the student committee only understand me when I speak like this so I a.s.sumed.. I'm.. sorry?"

Pu YunJi really did not know how to react now. Who knew this girl who seems so high up above and G.o.ddess-like is actually just a frighten girl trying to gain attention and recognition? This made him feel sad. Now, he feels bad for bursting on her earlier.

"Apologies, I did not mean it .. that way, I just felt --"

However, before Pu YunJi could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by the bell to note an end of a cla.s.s and a start of another one. Students started streaming out of their respective cla.s.srooms and into other venues. Since this was a prestigious but small school, almost everyone knew everyone else. Hence seeing a new good-looking guy in the middle of the hallway, everyone's curiosity was naturally piqued.

*Chatters* "Hey hey! Do you see him? So handsome!"

"Who is that guy?"

"Whats Qin Bookworm doing with him?"

"Who cares? He must be new, I'm going to welcome him!"

That voice belonged to the queen bee of the school, head cheerleader Yang YingYing. Looks like she had her eyes on the new guy!

[1] Hair on the crown is left fairly thick, with short sides and back (plus an undercut, in this case. You all know what an undercut is right?). Usually, fringe are permed to create the extra volume and texture

[Extra] I am unsure if you all know what an undercut is, so here it is! Typically, the hair on the top of the head is long and parted on either the side or center, while the back and sides are buzzed very short, so very similar to a Dandy hairstyle but shorter.

So what I am trying to say is that the side, and back of the head has hair that is quite short while the hair on the crown is quite long. Ah ~ I wish I can include pictures :
