, I picked up one of the pans of garlic-flavoured tallow and heat it up over a low heat, once the oil was hot enough, I added a handful of chopped garlic. When the scent of garlic filled the air, I added plain rice and began to toss it.

Once the rice had loosened and were coated in the fragrant tallow, I added a little sun-dried salt and milled black pepper.

Then, I pushed the rice to one side of the pan and splashed on a little soy sauce before tossing the rice one last time. Making some final seasoning adjustments with salt and pepper.

The trick to a good fried rice is knowing when to turn up the heat. The final tossing should be done on high heat, after the soy sauce had been added.

Finally, I plated the fried rice and topped it with slices of Garlic Steak.

After our meal, I gave everyone some cider to wash down the meaty, garlicky flavour in their mouths.

The Ancient Dragon was surprised by the fizzy drink, but declared it delicious. As for me, I settled down with coffee.
