Chapter 30 Part 2

That night, the way Xiang Nuan playing the game was quite confusing to

her teammates. Her champion, Zhang Fei, moved in random patterns and

always delayed in releasing his abilities.

Zheng Dongkai said: “I suspect it's a sloth playing on that cell phone.”

Lin Chuyan: “She drank too much.”

With Xiang Nuan playing irrationally, Lin Chuyan began trolling, and with

Dayu's weak marksmans.h.i.+p as usual, they lost four out of the five matches

they played that night.

Zheng Dongkai noticed that the key person that lost them the game was

Xiang Nuan. He wasn't blaming her, but it just showed that the whole team

were used to the protection of a competent support. When she started

s.c.r.e.w.i.n.g up, the whole team lost their momentum.

That was the importance of the support.

They were all a little shaken by the losses that night. The next day, they

discussed the possibility of playing the game with a different lineup.

Actually, they should have tried a new line up as a team long ago.

The ranked games for Diamond and above were played with draft pick. The

games had a phase where they ban champions first then choosing champions,

both sides could see the other side's choices. In addition, neither team could

choose the same champion. The game rules weren't as lenient as those for

the lower ranks; the game no longer allowed the same champion on both sides

in the same match.

Therefore, they as a team had to think ahead how to make the best possible

arrangement for a winning line up.

If their choice of champions happened to be banned or picked by the other side,

even with equal skill level, the other side would have a much better chance of

winning the match.

In order to have the flexibility of choosing champions, a player mustn't have

just a single champion in their champion pool.

Xiang Nuan and her teammates thus decided not to play any ranked games

first, but to practice with different new champions.

Xiang Nuan checked all the champions and locked her eyes on her favorite

Diaochan.

“I want to play a mage today, can't I?”

She sounded as if she was pleading. Lin Chuyan almost chuckled, this silly

girl was really a pushover.

Even Zheng Dongkai couldn't bear to listen her asking in such a tone: “We're

just trying out different champions. You can play whichever champion you want.

Chuyan trolled too much last night, he'll play support today.”

Lin Chuyan said: “Ok.”

Xiang Nuan then chose Diaochen as her champion.

Then she put the skin she had bought earlier on Diaochen in excitement.

Zheng Dongkai was surprised to see that: “Is this how you play the game? You

aren't even familiar with that champion and you already bought a skin for her?”

“It looks so pretty.” Xiang Nuan had already collected many champions and their

skins. She didn't care whether she had a chance to use them. She would collect

them as long as they looked good.

She was playing Kings of Glory as if it was Miracle Nikki.

Zheng Dongkai sighed: “I just knew it; you wouldn't learn anything useful playing

with Lin Chuyan all the time.”

Lin Chuyan chose to play Donghuang Taiyi as support.

Donghuang Taiyi was a mage type tank, with an ugly appearance like most of

the tanks. He had a long snake tail, dressed in a sorcerer's garb, and had each

hand tucked in the opposite sleeve like a sorceress. There were three black b.a.l.l.s

surrounding him as he walked.  The eyes were entirely white, without pupils, which

was emitting lights----It was not just ugly, it was the kind of ugly that had not an

ounce of righteousness, unlike Zhang Fei.

After the match started, Xiang Nuan moved her Diaochen down mid lane and

Lin Chuyan's Donghuang Taiyi followed her.

Xiang Nuan was disgusted with his champion: “Ugly man, go away. I'm going to

take a screenshot.”

“Hahahaha!” Zheng Dongkai laughed: “This is the first time I heard Lin Chuyan

being referred as a ugly man! It's music to our ears!”

Lin Chuyan quietly moved to the jungle, across the river, and squatted down in

the bush where he liked to hide in.

Hum, it was a good chance to steal the blue buff.

Lin Chuyan had an obsession about stealing the enemy's blue buff. No matter

which champion he was controlling, he liked to steal the blue buff at the beginning

of the game. Sometimes, he was successful; sometimes, he never returned.

The enemy mage was  Zhuge Liang. He sent a message while staying in the

safe zone.

Zhuge Liang: Donghuang Taiyi, no need to hide. Your b.a.l.l.s are showing.

It was the first time Lin Chuyan had played Donghuang Taiyi and the first time

he learned that Donghuang Taiyi wasn't suitable for hiding in the bushes----he

could hide himself but the b.a.l.l.s couldn't.

Such a pity.

Lin Chuyan quietly came out of the bush, facing Zhuge Liang. En, it was quite

an embarra.s.sment.

It would be too pathetic if he just turned around and walked away. So Lin Chuyan

said: “All of you come over here.” Then he ran to hara.s.s the enemy's jungler.

It seemed that, instead of stealing, he was going to rob the blue buff.
