Those Sweet Times

Chapter 10 Part 2

In order to not give herself away, she had turned her cell phone off

from noon till she was back in her room. The first thing she did after

she turned her phone back on was to send a lie to Chuyan.

It’s Nuannuan: Sorry, I was out whole day today and my phone ran

out of battery.

Chuyan: En.

Xiang Nuan was actually quite nervous but pretended like nothing had

happened. She asked him: Did you take the picture at a cafeteria?

Chuyan: Yes.

It’s Nuannuan: Your cafeteria looks very familiar. Are you at

Nanshan University?

Chuyan: Yes. You too?

It’s Nuannuan: En……

Chuyan: ……

Xiang Nuan knew that Chuyan must be shocked. It was too much

of a coincidence that they were at the same university.

Chuyan: What’s your major?

Xiang Nuan: I’m at Yuanchi campus.

She wanted to heavily stress that she was at Yuanchi campus. Since

students from the two campuses seldom interacted, she wanted to

create the impression that she had nothing to do with that silly person

in the picture.

Aren’t I the smartest! She praised herself in her mind.

Chuyan: Hum, I’m at the main campus.

He didn’t continue the topic. He didn’t ask about her major again or

to meet her in person. He only commented that the Yuanchi campus

was like a farm in a countryside, so desolate.

Xiang Nuan chuckled and replied: It’s not that bad. We have a

commercial district over here already!

Xiang Nuan felt a bit odd that he didn’t ask more questions. After

thinking about it, she realized that this was how Chuyan usually behaved.

Though he was sometimes quite annoying, he was still well mannered

and knew his boundaries. Once he sensed that Xiang Nuan was avoiding

the topic, he naturally left it alone.

Xiang Nuan lightly exhaled and asked: Up for a round?

Chuyan: En.

They also got on voice chat.

Perhaps the new found knowledge that they were schoolmates made

them feel more at ease with each other, Chuyan bluntly told Xiang Nuan,

“Don’t steal my farm.”

“Hey, I only harvested one of your minions.”

To a certain extent, Kings of Glory was a strategy game. The basis of

hero’s strength was their level and gold they’d accrued throughout the

game. Higher level meant better stats and abilities and more money

meant better items.

The experience and gold is rewarded from killing minions and neutral

monsters in the jungle. There are only limited resources in the game.

The distribution of said resources amongst the team is always a difficult

problem in the King’s valley.

There are always b.l.o.o.d.y fights over these resources and inflighting

when resources are distributed unevenly.

However, there’s a common consensus among all the players that-- --

a Support shouldn’t get much farm, all the money and experience

should be saved for the marksman, mage, warrior, jungler and others

on the team.

In any case, the support is at the bottom of the food chain that has to

act like a great mother who leaves all the treats for her teammates

and protects them well.

So Xiang Nuan was driven away by Chuyan, “Go to the side, don’t

take my minions.”

“Then I’m going, I’m not going to play with you.”

“Don’t go too far, you still need to protect me.”

“You’re annoying.” Though she complained, she stayed close by.

Chuyan told her to stay inside the bush to keep an eye on things. It was

a prefect distance away from him; she wouldn’t be able to take his money

but could scout ahead for him.

The elegant Zhuang Zhou looked somewhat sleazy squatting inside the bushes.
