Chapter 630 - Demonic Egg

Chapter 630: Demonic Egg

At this point, the only one that they could rely on was Lu Xuan.

If even Lu Xuan couldn’t stop Yan Han, then every single one of them who was present would most probably be doomed. Nobody would be able to leave unscathed.

Lu Xuan’s expression never changed when facing Yan Han, who had become a demon.

He was already well aware of that feeling that something was wrong with Yan Han from the very beginning. There was simply no way someone like Lu Xuan would be oblivious to that.

Common people were only capable of detecting the vague presence of bloodiness about him, but Lu Xuan was able to see that the man was clad in demonic qi.

He was all too familiar with demonic qi. He has had his fair share of fighting people who were practitioners of demonic arts, so he was definitely able to tell.

It was especially so given that he had just defeated a demonic dragon. He was very knowledgeable about the situation of people becoming demons.

It was actually not that easy for someone who was not trained in demonic arts from a young age to get into such a state.

It could even be said that such a demonic state of being was extremely difficult to achieve. Even with the use of demonic methods, becoming a demon was still quite difficult.

There were several requirements to getting into such a state. Otherwise, there would’ve been more people who succeeded in that regard.

The demonic qi that Yan Han had all over him was even more frightening and of even higher purity than that of that old demonic dragon.

It was apparent that Yan Han did not enter such a state through usual means. His ways of doing so were completely different from those of the old demonic dragon.

“Lu Xuan, Lu Xuan, Lu Xuan!” Yan Han continued to roar as his demonic qi raged in a frenzy, shrouding the entire Sanxian Mountain as the demonic qi washed all over Lu Xuan.

His clothes billowed loudly, yet he remained standing in midair completely still. He simply looked at Yan Han coldly and said, “So, Yan Han, this is your trump card then? I was wondering how you managed to save yourself from the brink of death so quickly. You even became even more powerful than before. I see that you’ve become a demon.”

Lu Xuan looked at Yan Han before him and shook his head. Such demonic means were ultimately heretic shortcuts that, while seemingly incredible, would cut Yan Han’s future short.

Yan Han’s inherent Holy Body of the Sun had been among the handful of godlike constitutions found throughout the world. As long as he was able to develop it properly, he would have had a bright future ahead of him. He could even break all manner of records.

Instead, he became a demon. While it looked as if his powers had grown exponentially in a short amount of time, he had actually defiled his own Holy Body of the Sun.

He had quite literally cast away the greater power for the lesser one.

The way Lu Xuan saw it, Yan Han had suffered quite a loss.

Then again, he still understood why Yan Han chose to do so. If he didn’t choose to become a demon, it would have been quite some time before he could make a breakthrough into the Divine Transformation Realm.

That would have been enough time for Great Ancestor Shen Jian, Gui Qiwang, and Great Ancestor Zhang Cheng to track him down and kill him outright.

Furthermore, Lu Xuan was still Yan Han’s sworn enemy.

Lu Xuan eyed Yan Han from the side, ready to kill him at any given moment.

He had run out of options.

If Lu Xuan were in Yan Han’s shoes, he also would not have had a choice. He would have to give it his all and hope for the best, even if what he was about to do would damage the foundation of his cultivation.

If it had been Lu Xuan back in his past life, he would have definitely done the same. His crooked foundations were why he became the weakest among the Celestial Lords. He had used several opportunist tricks similar to entering a demonic state. It was mostly thanks to luck, that he was able to get so far in the end.

However, things were completely different in his current life. His current level of power meant that he did not need to resort to extreme measures like entering a demonic state to solve his problems.

Yan Han shouted, “Lu Xuan, becoming a demon is a small price to pay for being able to kill you. I’d be willing to die if it means dragging you down with me!”

Bloodlust flickered in his eyes, as if the bloodthirsty aura in it, the demonic qi inherent within kept clouding his judgment.

It was just like how it had been with that old demonic qi dragon, who struggled to resist the demonic qi clouding his judgment.

Yan Han’s mind managed to subdue his demonic nature before long. He glared at Lu Xuan and said, “You’re the one who made me do this. If it hadn’t been for you, I’d still be the supreme sacred son of the Taichu Path. Now that the Taichu Path is gone, I swore to myself that I’d make you pay with your blood and the lives of all of your loved ones.”

He clenched his teeth as saliva kept spiling from his mouth. He looked ferocious; it was as if he had truly turned into a monster that knew of nothing other than brutality.

His current form was incredibly ugly, and his bestial nature continued to grow. He hated himself for looking like that, but he hated Lu Xuan even more.

“So that’s how it is, huh? You probably aren’t only in a demonic state. I’d say that you have hunted down and consumed some kind of devilish being. That would explain why you’ve been able to come this far.”

Lu Xuan looked at Yan Han before him and realized just why Yan Han’s demonic qi was so much more powerful than that old demonic dragon from before.

That also explained why Yan Han was able to control the demonic nature consuming him from the inside. That was how he managed to keep his capacity for reasoning intact.

Lu Xuan had seen enough to be able to tell almost immediately that Yan Han had hunted down some devilish being and fused with it.

As such, he was consumed by demonic qi like how it usually was; he became a demonic cultivator that was mutated by demonic qi.

He had become a true devilish being.

Yan Han burst out laughing. “Hahahaha, I didn’t expect that you’d actually be able to tell. You’re right, I’ve consumed a demonic egg to get into such a state. That egg was something that one of the ancestral masers of the Taichu Path had once sealed, with a being in it that had yet to hatch. The very reason why I was able to get into a demonic state so quickly was because I’ve devoured that thing!”

That was what he deemed to have been his greatest accomplishment. Not only did he successfully become a demon in the process, but he had also successfully bridged the gap with his powers. He became someone at Divine Transformation Realm.

It would have been nearly impossible for him to get into such a state without that demonic egg.

Yan Han proudly laughed as he said, “Now I’m the only devil in the whole world. I’ll devour all of you soon enough.”

He did not even bother hiding his glee. The raging demonic nature in him had almost completely stripped away his humanity and capacity for reasoning.

Lu Xuan was even able to see the scales all over Yan Han’s body growing. It was apparent that Yan Han was at considerable risk just maintaining his current form. If he were to stay that way for much longer, he would likely become a devil completely. That meant he would’ve been permanently rid of his humanity; in that case, he could no longer turn back into a human again.

He would become a true devil, completely taken over by the demonic nature within him.

“Die already, Lu Xuan! I shall feast on your flesh and blood so I can become invincible!”

Yan Han roared as the wings on his back flapped before disappearing from where he stood.
