21 Farewell 1

Bea did not bother her and Sheen's mother didn't mind since she knows that Sheen's going through something which is the cause of her moving away.

"Take care of her when she will be with you, alright?" Sheen's mother said.

They were both having coffee in the morning while sitting outside at the backyard.

"I was not able to protect her when she was just a kid that those people played with, I was not able to become the best mother."

Bea already knows where Sheen got her emotional att.i.tude came from but she can't say anything to her Aunt.

At the back of her mind, she knows that she's right. She never fought for her daughter but she also knows that Sheen doesn't think that way.

The cold breeze dances along with the smoke coming from their hot coffee.

It's smell somehow calms both of them.

"I think you shouldn't have arranged her with anyone," Bea suddenly burst out, making her shock.

She did not mean to be disrespectful but her Aunt answers calmly, noting that she did not take Bea's words negatively.

"I know. It's my fault but I don't know what went wrong. I thought they had a good relations.h.i.+p, but now, I can see that they don't," Sheen's mother frowns while looking at the b.u.t.terfly that pa.s.sed in front of them, "But Sheen's grown up, I know she can fix whatever is her problem."

Bea knows that Sheen's mother always believe that Sheen can do anything, but she lacks worrying for Sheen which her daughter might need to see.

Sheen thinks that no one is worried for her, making her think that she's not someone important.

Bea just finishes the cup before leaving her aunt sitting outside, who's staring blankly at the sky.

"I thought this is the start of her love story, yet here I am, stuck with a tragic life story of a single female writer that needs to publish a book and who's being played by three men," Bea sighs before entering the shower room.

She has to buy something in the mall and she does not know how to get there since she was with Sheen before but her cousin is in the pit of darkness sulking about her life in her room.

"I might need to call Wyn then," Bea thought while taking a shower.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"You know what, you might have been the one if those other men were not involved. I mean, Sheen likes you, but she's still silently stuck with Kady."

Bea and Wyn were having lunch at a restaurant after Bea had bought the things she needs.

Wyn just took the lunch break to meet with Bea who asked him to bring her to the mall.

"Really? I mean, with Kady? I'm really the lost one here, what really happened between Sheen and Kady? If you can tell me, I would like to hear it," Wyn was curious that he excitedly asks before remembering that it was not nice to stick your nose in someone else's business.

"No, I think everyone already knows, I mean, Kady, Blue, me, and Sheen really knew what was happening but you don't. You just arrived in the middle of the storm, so I'll tell you," Bea takes a sip of her iced tea before starting to tell the story.

"...so, yeah. Kady left when she confessed, they broke up, Sheen was left with a miserable life with her family and now, Kady's back and he wants Sheen like what the fu*k is wrong with his brain, he's an arrogant, ignorant, self-centered, egoist, narcissistic, as*hole!" Her mouth was not able to say those words, almost out loud, catching some of the nearby customers' attention, making her clear her throat.

"Um, so yeah, now you know."

"How about Blue?" Wyn asks while his right hand is clenched.

"Why? What about him?" Bea raises her right eyebrow, thinking that Blue might still have that crush on Sheen that he has.

"He, well, he said that he, you know," Wyn can't get to the point of asking since he feels like he's already digging too deep in Sheen's relations.h.i.+p with other people.

"He likes or more like, love Sheen? Gosh, he's still not over with that?" Bea rolls her eyes.

"Um, yeah. He said he does."

"No, you know, Blue's a womanizer. You may not see it, but he's been with a lot of girls, I promise. He says he loves Sheen and that he will have her someday and that he will kill guys who will take her away from him, but trust me, it's just a friend love. He adores Sheen so much as a friend that sometimes he sees it as that kind of 'love', but he just cares about her. I'll tell you what, one of these days, he'll introduce his girlfriend to you," Bea sounds so sure and her words don't give a hint of lie or hesitation.

"Really? Anyways, how is Sheen?" Wyn continues on chewing his food while looking at his watch.

"Um, she's fine. She's just, you know, tired."

"I see," Wyn wipes his mouth and finishes his water.

"I have to go," Wyn left the money for their bill and stands up, "Finish that, I'll tell my driver to send you back."

"What? How about you?"

"Someone's going to get me, get home safe and say hi to Sheen for me," Wyn waves his hand before leaving.

"Yeah," Bea took another bite of her food while looking at the present Wyn both for Sheen.

"You really might be able to save her," Bea whispers.

She went to the parking lot and rode Wyn's car to her home.

She arrived with Sheen sitting on the couch watching a horror movie while her Aunt was cooking lunch.

"Hey," Bea jumps beside Sheen while holding Wyn's present.

"What's that? Where have you been?" Sheen looks at Bea questionably.

"Somewhere, and I met Wyn. He bought this for you," Bea gave the rectangular box to Sheen and with the mention of Wyn's name, Sheen's mother looked at them.

"What? Why?" Sheen opens the box slowly.

Her heart suddenly grew curious and excited, 'What is this?' she thought while her smile can't be hidden anymore.

Bea pushes her softly when she saw Sheen's smile before biting her lip to hide it again.

Sheen took a deep breath before looking at what's inside,

"Oh! Isn't that the book that you first wrote and published?" Bea excitedly said with a smile on her lips, it's been years before she last saw that book.

Since it's been a long time, the copies of the book decrease, especially that it already was made into a movie.

'The Day I Met Mei,' Is the book's t.i.tle.

It was about a girl who was once a lively child but as she grows up, she became depress with every turn of events in her life. Her parents divorced, her mother died in an accident, her father forgot about her since he already has a new family, she was forced to live with her Aunt who did not care about her and such, not until she met Luke. The t.i.tle was very confusing since it was supposed to be Luke's point of view, not until the readers got into the denouement, that they have come to realize why the t.i.tle was written like that.

"You're more of a Mei reight now, and Wyn's like Luke and I hope he'll succeed to save you unlike the male protagonist," Bea says while watching Sheen's eyes fill with tears.

Sheen's sobs and smiles somehow says that she'll be able to start over again.

She'll somehow find the reason to continue writing her book and why she needs to.

"Not all men in your story's bad," Bea says before standing up to take her shopping bags to her room leaving Sheen wiping her tears with a smile in her face.

"I needed to see this, I lost my own copy long ago."
