98 Can You Cut The Source Off?

Fireb.a.l.l.s touch on the table but it did not enter the room. The table burns a little but it still was in one piece, like I said enchanted artifacts are a good investment.

"Knight!" I shouted. "Go back toward the shelves! I need room! I'm going to cast a spell and make him leave."

"Can you cut the source off?" he shouted back at me.

"I plan to." I poked my hand that was holding the candlestick up and weaved my spell.

The hybrid squabble trying to step in but still it wasn't powerful enough. The brown aura pushed it to the surface fighting to run the other way. Light surrounded and a gla.s.s bottle appeared. This spell usually was used on djinns wasn't the best of solutions but it will hold it until the magic runs out and then it will have no choice but to return to where it came from.

It works but still, I could see it struggling to get free. I was so tired and wiped that most of the food I had just eaten was gone. I need to react fast but in reality, I wasn't needed.

Knight grabs the bottle and pours in acid. I wanted to protest but it was a merciful way to capture it without really killing. This was the better way as there was proof of our encounter, and another bonus was I could easily trace it back with my mirror while protecting myself from similar magic.

"I'll take care of it." he said holding on to the bottle tightly.

With a smile, he took a piece of the mermaid. Before I could say a thing he held it over an open fire burning it to ash then adding it to the bottle as if it was the most usual thing in the world. It wasn't and if it had been me there would be a h.e.l.l of a backlash. Magic comes at a price. Mine is pain and suffering.

It had been so long since anyone had been there to solve my problems. He moved over I handed me the bottle. I took it and place it over the fire after adding extra salt to it. Better be safe.
