82 What Happen?

"I don't feel so good," I mumbled. "What happen?"

"Sleep my lady, let us take care of thee." a deep male voice said as warm hands help me move.

Slowly it all came back to me, the tattoos, the lady of the lake and me trying to save her. The hostage exchange didn't work out when the small female tried to slip in and take the ring by force.

I'm sure one of the knights caught her. I was too busy trying to save the lady of the lake that I didn't see that it was a lost cause. Unintentionally, I might have made it worst. She died in less than six hours in an explosion that had slammed me against the wall. I may be durable to magic but mortal causes weren't in my contract when I did the tattoos. It didn't even cross my mind that it could happen and that if I ever was against a cause with my magic drained I could die.

Her last words eco in my mind, she told me to take them. If I didn't know better I think she knew it was her time.

Then it hit me. Jenny was used for a purposed. They had planned it out meticulously the magic told it all. Her skin had far greater magic than I could ever acquire in ten lifetimes. Remembering the stone I gasp up into a sitting position in shock and worry. I sprang out of bed, wobbled a little and reached for my robe. I paused looking at the room. There were a number of Knights of the Round Table were standing watching me sleep. It was a bit creepy.

"I'm not going to like this am I?" I asked knowing the answer.

They look down and made me know that it was going to be bad. If they wanted revenge they would have attack by now so it was another reason that they were here in my vault.

"The successor of the lady of the lake. My lady told thou to take we knights." one of them said finally.

"I didn't say yes."

"Nay,thee excepted, " another one said s.h.i.+fting his foot uncomfortably. They really didn't like me or wanted to talk to me.

"No, it can't be right."

"But it is." They said in union

"Let me get this right, I inherited you just like that? There had to be another option?" I asked again knowing that I won't like the answer.

"Nay, the stone. Thee chosen one." Another answered, "Thee other prospect was the sister but traitors are bain."

Moving my right hand in front of my face and then it was there. The moon stone on her ring had transfer on to the back of my hand permanently.
