29 Solving Money Problems?

"I can't believe I'm doing this," I mumbled.

Then I texted Beth telling her to sell off the all my jewelry. And told her to get the highest price she could get. I think it should solve my money problems.

After all enchanted artifacts were expensive, especially ones that are made of gold. There was this particular choker crafted by Da Vinci himself. A necromancer had raised him up from the dead and had set him to work crafting the next thirty years of his undead life. He did thousands of pieces so before his destruction. So this piece may not be as valuable as the life creations. It was still very a rare.

People these days don't have a lot of magic and enchanted artifacts are a good investment. Trust me, I should know. Almost everything I have is thanks to those investments.

Most of the things at my place are enchanted. I do what I preach. Artifacts are a sound investment that may cost money at first but it was smarter in the long run to use potions. I would know with the ever-rising prices of ingredients. It was becoming very expensive. The best way to manage inflation is to invest it today so that it won't lose value in the long run, you'll get your money worth in gold. It was a strategy that was proven true in my later years of life when I became the master of the city.

Fact is that artifacts also hold a lot of magic reserved that made the user stronger and were most of the time very durable if you stay in the right range.

Going over the range meant that the item would crack and then break. I can't tell you how many priceless artifacts end up broken because of the young foolish user. They don't even understand the basic and it's quite simple. It was annoying having to deal with them in four to six weeks after they break the item and ask for a refund. The answer is always no. It was their fault for not managing magic.

Magical beings have three choices when coming to using magic. There are spell, potions, and artifacts. All magic used must be paid for in some shape and form, except if it's paid for by others or is tap from a direct source.

So most beginners make that mistake and start out small. Never push for more so they will never have enough magic resistance. There isn't a magical school for witchcraft out there. No one is insane enough to take on that task, not even the Normans. The deal with this was if you teach them magic you are responsible for them until they die or you die as in until death does us part. Its worst than a vampire master and fledging relations.h.i.+p, at least by their law you can fight for your freedom or it can be earned but we witches there is no such thing except maybe come a master of a city.
