Su Jis.h.i.+ sat in front of the computer with a serious expression on her face. Her fingernails painted scarlet danced on the keyboard, knocking out a series of beautiful English sentences. 

When the last punctuation mark landed on the screen, she exhaled loudly and clicked the send b.u.t.ton. Her whole person finally relaxed.

“Ahem. Su Jis.h.i.+, what are you writing?” Without her awareness, Fang Xie stood behind her, stole a peep from the screen and looked at the full screen of professional vocabulary he couldn't understand.

He could only wait for her to explain it to him.

Su Jis.h.i.+ closed the computer and didn't have the spirit to answer. 

"Well?" Fang Xie crossed his arms. "As your manager, I should know every—"

Before he could finish, Su Jis.h.i.+ lifted her open palm and shrugged her shoulders before speaking.

“What else can I do? I wrote an email to my tutor to apply for a long vacation. I am studying to become a doctor, and still has my thesis unfinished. At such a critical moment, I must return to China and stay for a year, which we both know will never happen. I gave the school a reason to leave. “

“I see.” Fang Xie had his hand on his chin, “And what reason did you use?”

In the first place, Su Jis.h.i.+ agreed to this ridiculous thing herself and later understood why Fang Xie kidnapped her — out of desperation. But the truth was, she felt a little guilty for being absent in her sister and mother's life by investing her time in the wild and in the research community.

From the age of 18 to 28, a full decade had pa.s.sed, but Su Jis.h.i.+ became more and more confused. 

She didn't know which direction she should take. Whether she should delve deeper into the research field and stay in one place or go all over the great rivers and mountains all her life.

Her inner confusion delayed the completion of her doctoral thesis, so she had to postpone it. She was too fed up in the life she chose, there was no room to relax and think. 

Then, an inexplicable opportunity knocked at her door.

Taking the place of her sister? Ah! Never had she foreseen it!
