Everything was going great, the dinner was nice, they had a heart-to-heart talk, revealing more of themselves . Sharing what was in the heart . The atmosphere was indeed intimate . When the little dinner by the river was over, they took a stroll around the neighborhood for twenty minutes whilst holding hands . Afterwhich, they returned to where they had parked the car and then they drove home in utter silence .

There was a mix of fear and antic.i.p.ation in her heart as they approached their home . Kim did not know what to expect and how to behave . Both her palms became clammy, her breathing, uneven .

As soon as they arrived home, Kim anxiously ran to her room because she felt dirty all of a sudden, making Carl sigh in relief . He wasn't sure how to address the issue . It felt like there was an elephant in the room and he wasn't sure how it got there or how to take it out . So he followed after her and strolled to his room, choosing to totally ignore the s.e.xual tension .

It wasn't for long anyway as Kim returned after taking a shower, facing another round of silence .

A few minutes pa.s.sed in utter silence before Kim gathered enough courage to speak . "I… I mean… we…"

"Kim, actually, there's no need to be tensed," though he was trying to comfort her and down play the tension, he felt it even more . It wasn't like they had never shared a bed before . He did not know why it felt like such a big deal now .

"Let's take things slow and see where it leads us . " He suggested, patting the spot by his side .

Stiffly but obediently, she heeded his call . Reminding herself that he had seen her naked before and they had shared a bed more times than she could count already and nothing happened too .

Yeah, a few times they made out but it never got too far that he couldn't stop . Even without her asking, he knew when to stop so it was going to be alright .

Carl turned off the lights then placed a kiss on her forehead, "Sleep . "

Firstly, she tried ignoring everything she felt . . Kim closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep . However she could feel his breath against her skin . She was just too aware of his presence that it was hard to ignore .

Secondly, she was tempted to jump him . All she could think of was doing it with him . His scent wasn't helping, the dark and the silence was only encouraging her to do so .

And she knew he wasn't asleep either . Her head was against his heart so she could his his frantic heartbeat .

Few minutes felt like an hour . She wanted to touch him, rub her body against his . While thinking of this, she unconsciously moved closer to him .
