Alicia did not have much time to get used to Ryu's situation.When they had not talked for so long,she had tried time and again to persuade herself that he must be busy and could not make time..she was fine with the distance as long as she saw that he was doing well and knew that he would come back to her.But now that he was here and she knew the truth,all she wanted to do was rush to him and feel his arms around her.But with Neil's warning of Ryu hating her,she was hesitant to see him.But she cared for only one thing-that she get her hubby back.Even if he did not gain his memories,he had to fall in love with her again so that they could make new memories.Taking a deep breath,she opened the study room and entered with confidence.Halfway into the room,she almost faltered when he asked in a cold voice,"Who are you?And how dare you just barge inside?"

Her hubby's cold and dismissing eyes almost made her stumble but just then a.s.sistant Yang interrupted,"Sit,this is a.s.sistant Lu.She is the one handling the supervision at the subsidiary here in Country A.a.s.sistant Lu will also be able to a.s.sist you with these figures in this file better since she is the one who compiled these."

Alicia took her cue from Yang and with a stiff bow said,"Good evening Sir.How are you doing?"

Ryu Long looked over the woman in front of him with disdain,Dressen in a white s.h.i.+rt and jeans,she looked more like a student than his a.s.sistant."a.s.sistant Lu,you have worked with me before?"

"Yes Sir."

"I don't remember you."

"Of course Sir.You are a busy man.It is only natural."

"a.s.sistant Lu,please make me a coffee.Yang here seems to have forgotten how I take it."

With that,Ryu Long ignored his beloved's presence and immersed himself into work.Neil and Yang,who were also ignored did not know what to do.As Alicia turned to make the coffee,Neil saw a sheen of tears in her eyes and wanted to punch his brother regardless of the fact that he had genuinely forgotten his wife.

Alicia quietly prepared the coffee and placed it near his hand.As if on automation,Ryu picked it up and took a sip.Without saying a word,he continued the work while taking sips in between.Neil just shook his head and planted himself on the couch in the corner while Yang and Alicia remained standing in front of the desk.

Alicia looked over her hubby's bent head and wanted to caress the hair that had grown longer in the past month.She was finding it difficult to hold back her excitement at seeing him as well as tears over this turn of events.After about 15 mintes,Ryu had finished reading the projections as well as finished his coffee.With a sigh,he looked up and then said,"Yang,ask her how she made the coffee so that you can prepare next time.I don't know how you have forgotten how to make it when you have been doing it for so many years."

"Pardon me, Sir,but a.s.sistant Yang made the coffee exactly like you used to take it.The only thing he did not know was that you had started adding toffee sauce to your coffee..the way your wife gave you...I just added a small amount of toffee sauce to the coffee that a.s.sistant Yang had made.You may not remember your wife but it seems your taste buds do."

Ryu was stumped with this explanation but soon his anger could be felt full force in the room.The temperature in the room seemed to have dropped tremendously and a s.h.i.+ver ran down Neil and Yang's spines.Only Alicia stood there with a calm expression on her face.

In a threatening voice Ryu said,"a.s.sistant Lu...Alicia Lu..hmm...So you are my rumored wife!"

With a slight bow and nod,Alicia smiled,"At your service Sir."

"Get out.I don't need you to work for me."

"Sir,but I am already working for you.Do you wish to fire me?Then please let me warn you that my contract states that I cannot be fired without a valid reason!"

Angrily Ryu Long banged his hand on the table and said,"I need an a.s.sistant and not a woman who thinks herself to be my wife!So yes I am firing you!"

Seeing the situation quickly escalate,Neil was about to interfere but before he could do anything,Alicia had made her move.

Stalking around the table,Alicia went near Ryu's chair,banged her hand on the same place Ryu had and said in the same tone,"And I was standing there as an a.s.sistant!If I had come in as your wife,I would have planted myself in your lap,pulled you by that tie and kissed you senseless, like this."

With that Alicia planted herself in his lap and proceeded to kiss the man aggressively just like she described!Neil and Yang could feel their mouths fall on the floor!Yang thought,"No wonder Alicia is the boss lady,she just proceeded to a.s.sault him!Even when he was emitting such cold vibes..."

After kissing her hubby hungrily for a moment,Alicia pulled back while Ryu was still shocked and walked towards her earlier position!Calmly,"Sir,I did no such thing that a wife would do just like the demonstration just now..So you cannot fire me unless you find me incompetent in my work!"
