There stood her father Master Lu and her brother Lu Sheng. Clad in business attire and Lu Xinyi could see a gun peeking out from his suit. So on business!

There weren't looking at her. They were looking at the room. Her room had wrappers of snacks, chocolates and junk food everywhere. Yu Youhan had allowed her a treat yesterday all thanks to her tantrum and then that evil deranged flower...

She stood with her hands bowed and her head down, hesitant and scared to see the disappointment on her dear father's face.

Master Lu and Lu Sheng a.s.sessed the room with hawk eyes. There were fluffy beige carpets, cerulean wallpapers, a canopy bed, and then the ceiling that had little night lights hanging like stars in the sky. Lu Xinyi through and through.

There were wrappers scattered in the whole place but they were looking for a sign of a man. Just to be sure if in case that 'man' was treating their innocent girl in a way not suited for a lady...

There was no sign of anything like that. Master Lu eyes drifted to his gla.s.s doll who looked as innocent as the day she left. She was wearing pyjamas and a t-s.h.i.+rt with her hairs in a mess. 

How could he mistake her for another girl? But this was not a topic for now... He needed his research too. How could a girl resemble his Lu Xinyi so much and...that eyes, even her surname was Lei. Could it be...? Master Lu shook his head. He had to be sure to make a big allegation as such!

There was no sign of a man on Lu Xinyi. He really didn't know what he would do to that Yu Youhan if he had even looked at his little pumpkin the wrong way.

"Daddy." Lu Xinyi said in a whisper breaking his thoughts of 101 creative ideas to torture anybody who hurt his naive sparrow girl.

Master Lu moved to her and cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead, "Little Pumpkin, you scared your Daddy."

Lu Xinyi barrage of emotion flooded and a tear escaped her eyes. She held his hands on her cheeks and whispered, "I am sorry, Daddy. I...I just couldn't do it."

Master Lu shook his head. His hardness in nature melted at his girl's tears, "No, Baby Pumpkin, Daddy is sorry." Master Lu body stiffened at a thought, his hold on her cheeks protectively tightened, "Did he or anybody..."

Lu Xinyi brows furrowed and then her eyes widened, "No, Daddy! Everybody here is so good and Yuohan is a very nice man! He is polite, funny and handsome." 

Master Lu eyes turned hard at his daughter mentioning a man handsome, his cold voice dropped to an octave, "Pumpkin, tell me if he was ever out of line?"

Lu Xinyi pouted, pulled away from his touch and bowed her arms on her chest, "Daddy! He is my best friend and he is always in line!"

But a father's heart wasn't satisfied, after all, he had sheltered his little Baby flower even from wind and at the thought of any man just plucking and stomping over his innocent bud clenched his heart.

"Did he keep you here against your wish?" Master Lu voice shook. Just a day ago he was planning to walk his dear daughter down the aisle with a baby on the way and today...

Lu Xinyi shook her head, "No, Daddy! He takes me out every weekend and there is this car outside with a driver. When Youhan is in his office, he takes me everywhere. He even gave me this black card..." Lu Xinyi pointed to her bag on the nightstand.

Lu Sheng who was beside them, eyes' widened in horror, "Lu Xinyi! Are you ripping him off?"

Lu Xinyi brown furrowed and she adorably pouted, "Hymp! Don't phrase it like that! He is my friend and he is just sharing his money and I will return him all his money back once I have my own. Moreover, I cook for him, lunch and dinner, every day! We are...almost even." She shrugged.

Her father pursed his lips and again gave his daughter an inspective look. Was this friends.h.i.+p between his daughter and Yu Youahn or were they...friends with benefits kind. It scared him.

Lu Xinyi was innocent. Yu Youhan was a cold-hearted man with wealth a hundred times greater than them. Moreover, he was the next head of the Yu Family. 

He had seen how the man dealt, he was ruthless and cunning. After all, he was from the house of Aristocats and excelled even his ancestors. His daughter was simple-minded, naive and a jaw-dropping beauty.

His daughter had never been in a relations.h.i.+p, even that deranged fiance thought of her as an impending future. 

If...his daughter got involved with Yu Youhan and he broke her heart at any stage in life, she would be devasted. And Yu Youhan was a kind of man who will not even glance at her then.

He will then not have a contract to restrain him or years of immunity to shove in Yu Youhan's face, unlike Li Yuan. No, he wouldn't let his daughter face a life like that!

Yu Youhan was paying for her expenses, giving her a place to live, she was cooking for him... Master Lu shook his head furiously. Lu Xinyi and Yu Youhan's setting was like a married couple. Did that mean...? Have they...?

He looked at his daughter, she was like a delicate ethereal beauty and attracted men of all ages even at the age of 14 and now she was a full-blown alluring woman and she didn't even know it. Men got attracted by her innocence. One of many reasons he kept his pure delicate flower away from the tainted world.

Was this the storm he couldn't shelter her from?

Lu Sheng huffing brought him out of his thoughts, "And how will you have your OWN money?"

Lu Xinyi glared at her brother, and shoved her index finger in his chest, stabbing him, "Not a pie in your plate so mind your own bowl!"

Lu Sheng was about to retort when Master Lu cut him off, "Lu Sheng! Stop arguing with your elder sister." 

Master Lu looked at his naive daughter who was still glaring at Lu Sheng and asked in a voice heavy with guilt, "Lu Xinyi, did he...touch you or are you in a relations.h.i.+p..."

Lu Xinyi head snapped in her father direction and she gasped in astonishment, "No, Daddy No! How can you say anything like that about him?! He is such a gentleman. Daddy, you know nothing about him!"

Master Lu and Lu Sheng shared a look. They had seen the man in action. It seemed if anybody didn't know Yu Youhan, it was Lu Xinyi.

Lu Xinyi pouted angrily, "...So don't just say anything about him like that! You know, how hurt he will be if he heard you say that?!"

For a while, the two men stood there not knowing what to say. They didn't know if Yu Youhan would be hurt or not but if he heard anyone talking about him, they sure were getting hurt.

Lu Sheng shook his head to clear his thoughts and looked at Lu Xinyi in suspicion, "So, Lu Xinyi, does that mean you are still..."
