158 Freaking Heaven

They lived together to give company to each other as they were all single and had constant hook-ups and regular lives were ch.o.r.es for them.

Their personalities were a stark contrast to each other but that didn't rust their brotherhood, even over time.

Yu w.a.n.g had a devil-may-care att.i.tude while Yu Jian was a happy-go-lucky kind, and Li Qiang was a cool-bullet. You have to struggle to make him angry but once he is, you wouldn't want to be on the wrath-receiving end.

Jiang Cheng and Ji Zhou were both organised one-shot-kill type. But whereas one was an easygoing flirt, the other was deadbeat.

But their attractive features got them constant lays.

Their place was as big as the Li mansion, where his mother lived. The place was rugged and the interior by every means screamed unmated wolves cave.

They were of the same ages except for Ji Zhou, who was a year older. They were trained under the same Master and attended homeschooling together too, except Yu Jian who went overseas for a hostel.

Yu Jian and Yu w.a.n.g were born the same year. Yu Jian was four months older. Yu w.a.n.g was illegitimate, born out of his father's mistress.

Li Qiang too didn't share the same mother with Li Yuan, and Li Yuan's mother didn't leave a single opportunity to make him regret to be born, so his father left him to his mother.

That was why he hardly attended any family gatherings in spite of his Grandparents exceptionally good treatment toward him.

Yu w.a.n.g wasn't treated any better too so they had their childhood in their mothers' house.

Li Qiang mother and Yu w.a.n.g mother were sisters but unlike Yu w.a.n.g, who was a love child, Li Qiang was a result of a casual drunken hook-up.

Both of their mothers were the daughters of their Master, Master Jiang, Jiang Cheng's foster grandfather. Ji Zhou was adopted too but he shared real family ties as he was the son of grandfather's younger sister who died young.

They had been the family they lacked to each other since. And although they did own places but they planned to live together till they are single.

The five of them went together to Ivy Leagues for college to get their degrees. Since then they had stuck together, through thick and thins and followed strict bro codes.

They basically worked as the Higher Elite's Team. They had old ties with each other so they worked best together.

It was Friday night and even then he wasn't allowed to relax as a flock of mad bulls seem to chase him all the time.

He was sitting in the living room couch, he just got free from going through some office files when Butler Yang ringed him.

His first thought was if the annoying woman was okay. He picked the call on the first ring but it seemed she was more dandy than okay.

"...She refused to leave the room often till this day but then after staying in a... wretched condition for several days she came out dressed today and demanded the doors to be opened for her..." the Butler although respectful, still reflected the anger and hate he felt toward Li Yuan's fiance.

He couldn't blame him too. His fiance left impressions behind. Strong impressions!

"...When we didn't permit her she threw antiques and imported vint..."

"How is she now?" Li Yuan cut off the grumbling of Butler Yang in a cold tone.

It was obvious that she would have drowned millions in her fit of anger but he was expecting worse. It was a blessing that she hadn't burned the house yet.

He didn't really care what she vented her anger on. Suppressing wasn't healthy... nor were tantrums but he didn't really have anything he could do.

The Lei's were dynamic because of the recent base they had crumbled to dust. He couldn't risk her being caught in the cease-fire act.

He had suggested waiting for execution of the plan but Yu Youhan had been restless for past few days and wouldn't sit still. He wondered if it had anything to do with the girl in his Mansion being comatose for months.

But that didn't matter, right now. He was anxious to know how she was doing or how could he go to her, but he wouldn't go. The woman made his blood boil.

When she realizes her irresponsible att.i.tude is causing riots and apologize, will be the time he will go back to her!

For now, it would be enough for him, if she was breathing because being close to her sure made him want to strangle her.

"Ms Lu is angry... upset." Expected.

He hung up and threw the illuminating lamp on the front wall, crus.h.i.+ng it into pieces.

Her being in this emotional state angered him when he shouldn't really care!

He treated her like she was a doll made of gla.s.s but the infuriating woman lied to him to go and get dandy-drunk, that also in the middle of nowhere!

Li Yuan rested his head on his palm in extreme irritation. He had to think of something before she thought of something.

Because sure as h.e.l.l she wasn't going to rest. He could bet all his wealth, she was devising a plan at the moment too.

And then a thought struck him. He needed to relax a little before doing anything rash so he dialled the only number who could take his woes away.

"How did my baby remembered me?" A surprising sweet voice exclaimed from the other end but it did nothing to ease his agitated mind.

"Mom, how is the preparation for...marriage going?" He asked in a tired tone.

"Huh?" Madam Li exclaimed in surprise and confusion but at once her excitement skyrocketed at her son taking interest in an event she was organizing and she started blabbering.

"The theme is being discussed, that Mother-in-law of yours is truly annoying! She has uncla.s.sy and unseasonal opinions on everything! It would have been better if I was organising it alone..."

"Mom, it's her only daughter's marriage too. Please cooperate." He wasn't really in a mood to hear his mother gossip.

The day was giving him a headache already.

Madam Li scoffed, "What the only daughter?! She doesn't have a daughter! That girl is..."

"Mom! We have been through this!" He growled.

He was so done with this bullsh*t he had to go for a whole hour with his mother and grandmother a few days before their family dinner.

Madam laughed awkwardly and sheepishly said, "Ye...yeah. What I meant was, she is bothersome."

Whatever it was, Madam Li loved him a lot.

He knew his mother wasn't a pious pet.i.te woman she claimed to be but even a beast that ripped other livings for his one-time meal loved his cubs.

After being thrown aside by her husband like a used tissue, she turned to him with all her affection and despair.

Li Yuan sighed, "Mom, I called you to tell you to take Lu Xinyi with you for shopping and wedding preparations."

Madam cried out at once, "What! Her mother is already a nuisance with that tra..."

"Mom!" He sighed in frustration, "She gets...bored and frustrated at the Mansion alone every day. And that is wearing her off. She will get a breather."

Madam made a disapproving sound, "Li Yuan! You know, it's not safe! Every woman in the family stays indoors during their pregnancies! Why does she think..."

Madam Li really didn't like the girl and just because she got knocked up wasn't going to change a thing. All she could do for compromise was to limit their interactions.

Healthy for both parties!

Li Yuan gritted his teeth at the horrible pretext, "Mom, I wasn't really asking!"

"Your Grandmother will never allow it!" She attempted as her last card.

"I will talk to her and for the record, neither did you and nor did Grandma stayed restricted in the Mansions."

That, in turn, cooled his mother down. Mentions of things she had to face during her pregnancy or his Grandmother did in pregnancy always had that effect on them.

Li Yuan sighed. He didn't really mean to upset her.

"Right! Perhaps a little walk and change of environment will be a good thing for the baby." She said in a weak voice, resigning to her fate.

He hung up a and took a deep breath. A little outing will calm his tigress a little!

Li Yuan rested his head backwards on the couch and closed his eyes to relax a little. For now, he had extinguished the lava.

"Sh*tty life?"
