426 The Little Warrioress Part 1

As they came out of the latest turn, Kyera turned her head to look back at him, her golden eyes sparkling. Her high ponytail dancing in the wind like a streamer beside them. He smiled at how carefree she was, what he didn't expect were for his senses to suddenly fill with her. Her lips pressed to his erased the world around them, well the air since there wasn't much else to experience this high up. The intensity of her warm woodland scent penetrating every fiber of his being. Her tongue teased at his lips till he opened his mouth and the kiss deepened. He could feel himself reacting to her, d.a.m.n his self control was weakening. He wanted her… here in this saddle.

However before he could act on it she broke the kiss and smiled at him. He was focused on her, the intense pa.s.sion in his eyes zeroed in on her face. He didn't notice the familiar trees around them, or the fact the wind wasn't rus.h.i.+ng by. She giggled and swung her leg over so she sat side saddle in front of him.

"Landing can be the worst part so I wanted to distract you." Kyera explained before motioning to the ground. Clovis looked over and wondered for a moment if they could go back up and circle for a while… it didn't sound like a bad idea. Kyera however was already preparing to slip off but he stopped her.

Clovis sighed at the lost moment, but slipped off the dragon's back anyway. Now dismounted he turned and lifted his hands to catch her. Kyera slid forward and let herself fall into his hands. His hands sliding from her hips up to her waist as he guided her safely down, his eyes appreciating her form. His wife is the most beautiful woman he had ever met, the thought was fleeting, as he had to let her go.

"Are you excited to see our baby girl?" Kyera asked as she started unlocking the saddle restraints, giving the dragon more freedom. The saddle stayed in place but much looser than when they flew. It was all controlled by a complicated system of locks and pulleys. A few loosened spindles and the apparatus suddenly became much less of a burden. "Thank you, Lovely." She gently laid her forehead to the dragon's. He blew a warm puff of smoke over her, in love and appreciation.

"You are very welcome, My Lady. I will fly with Ivory above. If you have need of me just call." Ember replied and Kyera nodded, taking Clovis' hand and moving away so the dragon could take flight.

"Be safe my Loves." Kyera called after him as he rejoined his sister in the air. Clovis sighed, wrapping a arm obsessively around her waist.

"Let's get back. Raina must be worried sick. We were only supposed to be gone for a week." Clovis reminded her and Kyera brightened considerably.

"Yes that is true. Come on, the palace isn't far!" Kyera's excitement was contagious as the pair hurried in the direction of the Shadow Vale Palace. He couldn't help but chuckle as he shared in her eagerness.

As they neared the palace, a pair of guards stopped them, wanting to see identification but Kyera was having none of it. She held up the royal crest and the men stepped aside. After the second set of guards she just held it over her head as they ran. Maids and servants stopped and stared at the pair walking through seeming rather exasperated.
