Chapter 167 - Erradicating The Immortal Threat Pt 2

Watching as Draig slowly came to and shook the cob webs from his head the Emperor couldn't help but find himself apalled by the memories he had seen.

Mostly due the actions of his children that went against everything he had known about them, he wasn't concerned with the actions Draig had done in the past as he was an Emperor. What ruler hadn't committed atrocities under their reign but even so the memories he had seen of his children acting so ruthlessly was a hard pill to swallow.

Draig finally was clear headed enough to act and he made his motion towards the Emperor but soon found himself halted in place beyond his bodies control which caused his eyes to widen in shock.

The emperor had placed his hand upon the hilt of his blade but his Avatar never manifested, this one simple action had been enough to use the abilities of his Avatar without the need to draw the blade.

'H-How. . . This isn't possible, he broke the agreement. . .' thought Draig trying with all his might to move his body but it was for nothing.

Now that he thought about it, the Feratu had no idea what the Emperor's Avatar or power was. However understanding the current condition of his body was due to that ability caused the Vampire's body to become drenched in sweat.

However out among the commoners of the city they watched in awe as a Giant Dragon manifested over the Palace it's body seemingly made of the stars and galaxies in the night sky. This was the Emperors Avatar a giant Heavenly Dragon, this image acted as the inspiration to thousands of children who were baring witness to the scene.

'I will become a Deva. .' was the unanimous thought as they wors.h.i.+pped the sight.

However back with Draig he was contained within the claws of this Dragon unaware that the Avatar had been manifested. He was in a state of true terror as he realized he had been mistaken of the culprit even though the Deva had named the Emperor as the one demanding his arrest.

"Draig. . . . ." stated the Emperor solemnly, he didn't know what else to say thus he stopped after speaking the Vampire's name.

"You are not human . . . you are not a mere child either. Tell me Draig what are you, I have seen your memories and lived your life with you, but what are you." continued the Emperor before falling silent again seemingly trying to think of the words.

"You are a Vampire? A monster of some sort. . . Or perhaps you are a conqueror wis.h.i.+ng to establish an empire of your own. . . .  Maybe you are a freedom seeker wis.h.i.+ng to remove the shackles that you feel are trapping you. . . . Then again maybe you are all of these things but beyond that maybe you are none of those things." continued the Emperor seemingly in deep thought.

"I do not know what you are, I have only just learned who you are but alas I am not capable of discerning what you are my child." pondered the Emperor as if he was talking to an object.

"I have seen the scorn that you have received, the innocents you have slaughtered and enslaved. I have seen things beyond the comprehension of one you call mortal." stated the Emperor seemingly finished with his monologue.

"Yet I feel that you are more lost than I" chuckled the Emperor as the Dragon released the Vampire from it's grasp causing Draig to suddenly realize the his breathing had become frantic during that moment.

"You are confused about your existence, what you are meant to become. I can understand that now that I have seen all that I have. I apologize for my words before child, I was not aware of the troubles my family had caused you previously and it seems this old man had been a burden upon you." continued the Emperor as he walked towards Draig and a bit of crumpled ash fell to the ground in front of Draig.

"I won't trouble you any longer with this contract Draig, though this Old man wishes for you to visit from time to time in the future but there is no need to force an encounter. All I can ask is that fate allows us to cross paths in the future but perhaps fate will see that you never step foot near my Imperial family again. There is too much I do not know and my time is still short though I have been given this second chance, I will see to it that the injustice done to you is repayed with due kindness but for now Draig I will send you from this city." spoke the Emperor as he kneeled down towards the end and embraced the Feratu with the love of a grandfather.

It was truly as if he had been his grandfather as he watched Draig grow up to become powerful twice, he had been blessed enough to find a good seed to take as his surrogate grandson.

"Go my child, do as you wish and be safe. Just do this old man a favor and visit me at least once before I die again. Could you do this one favor for this Old man" smiled the Emperor as he released Draig and helped him to his feet.

The Vampire's Materialization had been crushed by the might of the Emperor's Avatar and Draig now stood in his previous attire as he turned his back towards the Emperor.

"This Splendid Dynasty of yours. . . . it was a home for me. I would like to return here one day" stated the Feratu before he leapt into the skies charging his legs full of enough mana and Deva energy that he felt they might burst.

His figure could be seen flying through the skies as if he was a bird however this was only a leap and not true flight however this went unseen by the people as he landed outside of the City walls.
