215 Reunion 3

Gio's answer to this was a light kiss on her forehead.

"I also rebuilt Ever Victorious and made it as good as before, if not better."

His lips dropped another kiss on her hair. The enigmatic non-host laughingly said, "Even if that corporation remains as heaps of ashes, I don't care. More than that, what truly matters are things that cannot be restored once completely lost."

She hummed and nodded. But still said as if she was reporting her progress to him, "I'm so much better than that Amelia!"

"Who cares about that woman?"

Sofony buried her face in his chest, trembling, "I, I've been looking for you every single day..."

She inhaled, then continued,

"I've been so lonely... I thought I've lost everything..."

"Where have you been? No... How have you been?"

"I have died every day waiting and searching for you... fearing if you're still alive or not..."

And then as if a dam had broken, the woman grabbed on his s.h.i.+rt tightly and began sobbing her heart out.

The eyelashes of the man holding her tightly to his body shuddered. Dumbfounded, he looked at the small and dainty figure crying in his arms.

He felt despicable for feeling a bit glad that she missed him this much. At the same time, he felt like dying because his woman had suffered and bottled up so many grievances.

"I'm sorry... I'm now here."

She raised her head as if intentionally making him see the mess her beautiful face had become. It successfully p.r.i.c.ked his conscience and made him stole her lips in hopes that this gesture would help ease her heart. And also his own.

Two people regained the most important thing they lost.

And because the time they spent apart had been very excruciating for both of them, the reunion had also been sweeter and tear-jerking than ever.

Remember, each day, there was never a time when they would stare at the void to think of one another. That was just how much their longing had been.

In other words, the experience had been very torturous and heart wrenching that one would just be compelled to wonder how they stayed sane all these years, or at least, saner than expected.

The heavens must have pitied them hence the d.a.m.nable spell was no longer obstructing them from meeting.

Now, who could blame them for kissing and embracing each other like there was no more tomorrow? Who would dare comment that their reactions were so exaggerated? (FallenBlue would give them a cameo, and leave their characters' fate to these two. Grrr.)

Shortly after their lips parted, the strong girl from a few minutes ago faded away in the background, replaced by a crybaby who felt so wronged by the long years of separation. There were other reasons too, but for now, her tears were for finally seeing Gio, the man she loved as dear as her life.

How glad she was to find him. The feeling was so overwhelming, it drowned her heart with both fulfillment and happiness. Was he feeling this too?

"Let's go inside. I'll let you have a look of this place."

The crying girl who had slumped down the ground unknowingly shook her head when he held her hand and tried to pull her up towards the wide opened double door entrance.

Sofony wanted to be childish today. Or she simply didn't want their bodies to be separated in fear that he would suddenly vanish like three years ago.

She'd go crazy for real if that were to happen again!

She felt so scared that the warmth and smiles she could see now would turn out to be only another dream of hers.

Gio laughed. He helplessly but dotingly messed with her hair then piggybacked her into the huge house.

"Sofy." As they made way into his chateau, he called out her name. It never got old from his lips. Heaven knows how many times he had called her name daily.

"Aye."

"Let's never separate from each other again, okay?"

The familiar and heartwarming scent from him made her feel so at home. His voice made it all appear so real.

The girl tightened her embrace of his neck. And hummed softly and almost immediately,

"Yes..."

Sofony was more than happy and willing to oblige.

She couldn't ask for more.

...

When they got inside, the man had gently dropped Sofony on the sofa bed in the living room and kissed her on the forehead, regardless of the two guests watching.

Sofony's system laughed and told her about Chris' funny reactions.

The half-host gave them a sneer and made a face as if they were too disgusting or blinding to look at.

As for Alessa, she only looked curious. Who knows if this drama and film actress was treating them as an acting reference, or studying them for a purpose entirely different from the former.

"Sir, what do we do with that man on the maze?" Suddenly, the old, grey-haired butler came to Gio's side and asked.

It was a timely reminder of that intruder who seemed to have teleported with Sofony using an unknown device.

The man indifferently said, "Give him to Jules. He knows what to do."

It was left unsaid, but the butler knew Jules was one of the newly trained agents working for Gio in-charge of dealings with the shadows or anything that couldn't be brought to light.

Being perceptive and smart, the man in butler suit bowed and executed the order. Gio saw that Sofony was watching her with unmatched focus, looking so afraid to look away from him for even a moment.

He shook his head and said. "I won't suddenly disappear again."

She also copied him and shook her head. "I don't dare bet! Last time, you did!"

The man bemusedly grinned. But didn't speak anymore. All explanations could wait for later. Including the immoral host who stupidly tried to confront a real teleporter.

After the small talk in the living room, they left the two guests in the butler's hands. Anyway, he didn't have any need for them anymore.

Gio only brought them to this place to have that male system user act as his delivery boy.

He never imagined Sofony popping out of thin air to surprise him. This was why since the person he wanted to reach out was already in his arms, who cares about the others.

He could be lenient and let them do whatever they want. But they better not mistakenly bother his and Sofony's reunion.

Before the twilight curtained the sky outside, it was Sofony who demanded to be loved that way. Gio laughed out loud since it was very rare for this thin-faced lady to do that. At least, before, she only did it once.

But anyway, they kissed their way upstairs, into Gio's master's bedroom. Piece by piece, their clothes fell off, and before they knew it, they were already making love with each other...

A night pa.s.sed by just like that. And it became an innocent witness of how undying and intense their pa.s.sion for each other really was... or rather, how much of it had bottled up for the past three years.

And this was simply how Sofony and Gio's reunion concluded.
