Ku w.a.n.g nodded when he heard Zhu Long's words. He continued," Brother Lin, At that time, The Demon King was considered the most powerful demon and some of the humans were jealous of his power. Another reason for them to be jealous would go to another story that I had read in the library of my sect. It was said that the demon lord wasn't very much powerful in his younger days, he had little to no control on qi and could barely cultivate. His body was only at the first stage of qi condensing stage even at the age of forty but for some reason, one day, everything changed. The demon king suddenly changed, his power increased exponentially. His qi also increased at an immense level and by the age of fifty, The Demon King had reached the Seventh Supreme Stage! Just a layer away from the Immortal Stage, a stage that not many have reached even in history. This caused them to believe that The Demon King had a secret that allowed him to improve at a very fast pace which of course increased their jealousy on the demon King. So the human cultivators gathered up and hatched a plan to kill the demon King and share his loot among themselves. And I'm sure that Brother Lin can guess what happened from that moment onwards.." Ku w.a.n.g smiled towards Zhu Long. He wanted to leave the story on a cliff hanger and make Zhu Long feel annoyed. 

Zhu Long smiled in return when he saw the small smile on Ku w.a.n.g's face. He could guess that Ku w.a.n.g wanted to annoy him. "Brother Ku, I'm sure that I can guess what will happen next in the story but It would be better if you told me.." He tried to ask Ku w.a.n.g to continue the story by wording it in a more friendly way. Ku w.a.n.g smiled again when he heard Zhu Long's words, "It seems like I cannot beat you plus, We still have to go to Qiang Wuhan's Mansion so I'll just end the story now.." Zhu Long looked happy when he heard Ku w.a.n.g's words. "The human cultivators were at the Sixth layer of Supreme Stage. They were convinced that if they got their hands on the "secret" that helped The Demon King improve drastically, they would reach the Seventh Stage and maybe even the Immortal Stage, a stage that is like a myth to people. There has never been a report on someone reaching that stage. It seemed like anyone who was about to reach that stage, would just disappear, something that is still happening, not like it is a common thing. Anyways, back to the story. The Human Cultivators invited the Demon King and some of his more powerful followers, the High demons, each incharge of different sectors of the Demon continent. They called it a meeting to improve the demon and human relations and then poisoned them, which weakened their power. After that, the human cultivators activated a huge formation where the demons were seated which blew them up with a force that even themselves were not sure that they could survive. The three High lords died from that explosion  But somehow, the Demon King survived, enraged by the death of his underlings as well as the sneak attack. He used his strongest attacks and fought with the human cultivators. It's said that the battle lasted for many days but at the end, The Demon King succ.u.mbed to his injuries and finally pa.s.sed. But he didn't die alone, he took more than half of the human cultivators with him. The rest were very injured yet happy. They were happy that they didn't have to fear someone being more powerful than themselves. But that happiness lasted for a very short amount of time. The Human Cultivators went absolutely mad when they realised that the Demon King had nothing that could improve their cultivation levels. The resources they had wasted were gone and their brothers had lost their life in the battle and all of that was for nothing… The Demons were outraged when they found out that the person that they treated like a G.o.d was mercilessly killed by the human cultivators and that they had also killed 3 of the 6 High Demons. This was the main thing that ignited the war between the humans and Demons. Well, that's the most interesting story that I had found, there were many more but yeah, that seemed like it could be the most real one. It might not be liked by many people as it shows humans as the bad guys but this is the harsh reality of the world. Humans are also creatures made with greed and it's something that comes from nature but if that story is told to the public, they would curse at you and call you a demon follower." Ku w.a.n.g narrated the story slowly, trying not to miss any details. Zhu Long listened quietly to Ku w.a.n.g's story. He nodded," I also think that This story sounds realistic, I haven't heard any other stories but just by hearing that the human cultivators were slaves to their greed of wanting more power. Thank You Brother Ku for telling me this story, I do understand a bit better about the war between humans and demons. Even Though this story might be fake, it was enough to satisfy me."

I guess that might be the last time that I see her but I can't help but feel hopeful after hearing her say that she was sure that we would meet soon. Well I better not get distracted now. I walked towards my car and opened the door. I got inside and turned my phone on. It was 9pm, I had the meeting with the mobsters at 9:30 pm. I turned my car on and started to drive it out of the parking lot. The road was pretty busy but at least there wasn't a traffic jam. I shuffled through the different radio channels until I got to the OldGold channel. At times like this, I liked to listen to songs on the radio, especially old ones and these channels always played the hit old songs. But I didn't get much time to myself enjoying the songs, as my phone started to ring. I didn't even need to check who the caller was, I could just guess that It was Boss calling me, Mrs Kane. I turned the radio down and picked up the call," I'm on my way , you really don't need to check on me you know?" It was something that Mrs Kane always did. Everytime I have a mission, she would call me a few dozen times before it began. I never knew why she called that much but all I knew was that It was annoying.

"Adam, You better know who you're talking to. At Least show some formality when you are on a mission. I just wanted to check on you, where are you right now, in position?" She seemed a little bit angry at my response but I wasn't bothered by it. "No, I'll get there in 20 minutes." My reply was simple. I wanted to make it a quick reply, the shorter the call is, the better it is for me. "What The f.u.c.k were you doing until now? You were supposed to get in position 5 minutes ago at the least but now you say that You'll reach the place in 20 minutes! What were you doing!?"
