The memories of her late Siberian Husky – Blake, who died a few months back flashed through her head. The corners of her lips rose, forming a gentle smiling expression on her beautiful face.

And her eyes widened from shock and her body shook as in front of her stood another spirit beast, the fourth one that looked exactly like Blake, but transparent.

"Choose your spirit beast and if you close your eyes again, I will force you out of the spirit realm and will never let you back inside!" Another shout sounded inside Liya's head. But she was so distracted by the transparent Siberian Husky in front of her that the shout wasn't even registered by her brain.

Tears formed at the corners of her eyes, trailing down Liya's beautiful cheeks and she stared at it for a few minutes before mumbling, "That is not Blake," and she closed her eyes.

"I told you not to close your eyes!" a shout sounded in Liya's head for the second time and this time the shout got registered by her brain and she snapped her eyes open, she saw a fifth spirit beast that looked like a German Shepherd and a notification message flashed.

Furrowing her eyebrows, Liya thought, 'What the f*ck?! My attributes got reduced by 25%?! And what does she mean that she told me that I couldn't close my eyes?! She never said that I couldn't! F*ck!'

"This is the last time, I am repeating myself! Forge a contract with one of the spirit beasts and under no circ.u.mstances close your eyes again!" a shout sounded inside Liya's head for the third time.

'Do you think that I am r.e.t.a.r.ded, and that I would try to close my eyes in this pool again?!' Liya moved her eyes across the five spirit beasts as one thought went through her head multiple times, 'A lifelong partner…'

Raising and extending her right arm, Liya pointed her palm towards the Siberian Husky. A few seconds of silence pa.s.sed and she moved her right arm to the right, pointing her right palm at the German Shephard and she used the skill,

Sighing out heavily, Liya typed in the name – Ryan, the name she was going to use for her next dog, and tapped the b.u.t.ton,

The Chinese dragon, the tiger, the fox and the Siberian Husky, all tilted their heads back, roaring out as loudly as they could. Their bodies suddenly transformed into transparent bubbles and all these bubbles rushed towards the German Shepherd, entering its body.

Once the last bubble entered the German Shepherd's body, its body changed from a transparent one to a non-transparent one. It grew out to the size of a full-grown tiger. On the black parts of its body, white tattoos appeared and on the tan parts of its body, black tattoos appeared. Its eye colour became that of a Siberian Husky's.

A few notification messages flashed.

"I will await your arrival once the time comes!" A shout sounded in Liya's head for the fourth time and a sudden light flashed, and her surroundings changed. Blue orbs appeared all around her out of thin air and they lit up, illuminating the room that she appeared in. And she recognised her surroundings, she was in the bas.e.m.e.nt of the old man's house.

Furrowing her eyebrows, Liya thought, 'What the f*ck?! The spirit queen teleported me out before I could see her level and before I could ask her how can I fix my soul! F*ck!'

"*Woof!* A very loud bark sounded behind Liya and she turned around.

Seeing Ryan standing in front of her, Liya raised the corners of her lips, forming a faint smiling expression on her face. She raised her right arm and extended it, stopping her fingers just an inch away from his big nose. "Nice to meet you, Ryan."

Blinking his eyes, Ryan lowered his head below Liya's hand, and she raising the corners of her lips higher, widening her smile, patted him on the head as she said, "Good boy."

Pulling her hand away, Liya said, "Wait." She raised and extended her right arm and swiped her fingers down, and the menu opened. She opened her skills.
