Liz had to negotiate hard with Eleanor's parents to allow her to dress and bath on her own, as it is normally the duty of her maids.

After a seemingly never-ending discussion, they agreed that Lilly would then just carefully provide her with her clothes and fill the bathtub.

When Liz was looking for her parents, she witnessed a love scene of two lovebirds.

At least from her perspective.

The two lovebirds are Lilly and Ethan.

Swiftly she disappeared from their sight.

She speered and eavesdropped on their conversation.

"T-that is for you." stammered Lilly with burning cheeks.

Lilly handed Ethan a handkerchief, which was decorated with a ruby dragon.

Ethan just stared at her with a confused expression on his face.

"Uhm, remember your s.h.i.+rt from last time, which I had ripped, as a compensation. I wanted to st.i.tch you a s.h.i.+rt, but I am not good at that." Lilly explained ashamed with a look averted.

And indeed, she was not bluffing when she said she was not good with needlework.

Her ruby red dragon resembled more a combination of a cat, lizard, and alligator than a dragon.

'I can't blame her for this, since learning embroidery is a privilege for the n.o.bility.' Liz thought.

"But I will try harder and sew you a s.h.i.+rt someday!" she declared in an ambitious tone.

Ethan cleared his throat.

"There is no need for this. I've got plenty of such s.h.i.+rts but I don't have a handkerchief yet."

That was a lie.

Beside Ares, Ethan is the second most desirable hottie in the empire.

Many women tried to pounce on him and gave him their self-made handkerchief.

He in return rejected these.

Accepting their handkerchiefs is like accepting their feelings for him.

Giving false hope is wrong according to his morals.

"T-thank you." he muttered slightly embarra.s.sed.

Lilly's face then lit up.

A warm feeling enveloped Liz's chest by seeing the two of them like this.

Completely lost in her fantasies, she did not notice how they parted and Ethan came slowly and steady towards her.

"Long enough to have observed your intimate interaction with Lilly." Liz replied with a naughty smile.

Ethan ma.s.saged his temples.

"Eleanor, it's not what it looks like. I have no relations.h.i.+p with the maiden." he retorted dryly.

'Yeah not yet, but this will change when I play Amor.'

"Whatever, do not regret!" Liz rebuked and harrumphed.

"What are you doing here now?"

Ethan eyed her with a questioning look.

"I am looking for mom and dad. I wanted to tell them that I have to visit Ares for an urgent matter."

Ethan narrowed his eyes in a squint when the name Ares fell from her lips.

"But it won't be so urgent that you have to spend another night with him?" he scoffed while his face darkened.

"No big brother, it was an accident the day before yesterday!" Liz defended herself spasmodically.

His face loosened a little when he heard the words of big brother.

"Then make sure that such accidents won't happen in the future anymore!" said Ethan in an overbearing tone.

"I will notify mom and dad and also I will prepare a carriage for you. So shoo you." he added.

"Thank you big brother!"

Thereupon, Liz threw herself into his embrace.

Ethan was taken back by her sudden display of affection but he did not hate it.

Liz was also surprised by herself.

'What is wrong with me?'

Liz could not explain why she suddenly became so clingy.

However, she knew that she was extremely embarra.s.sed.

After the two were released from their hug, Liz said in a rushed voice and fl.u.s.tered face:

"Well, I am gonna go big brother."

With quick steps she left his sight.

When Liz arrived in Mazeldovia, she stormed into Ares's work office.

"I will put an end to the slavery here in Mazeldovia and for that I will sell myself as a slave." Liz declared Ares.
