Mo Yixuan frowned as this thought crossed his mind and his eyes were filled with confusion and surprise.

He looked at the scarf she had given him. The complex knitting techniques and the scarf that was almost devoid of all flaws made it clear that she had put a lot of effort into this.

He had many scarves and the most expensive scarves he owned cost around 2,000 to 3,000 dollars per scarf, but this was the first scarf he owned that was completely handmade. It wasn’t a fancy looking scarf but it was very comfortable.

“Will she confess her feelings to me?” he wondered.

He suddenly rose to his feet, came to the window, and pushed open the windows that were tightly shut to allow the cold wind to blow at his face.

He stared at the hostels and the buildings where the lecture halls were located.

He remembered that the School of Design was located on the left of the east gates. He hardly went there but he had pa.s.sed by occasionally.

Could she have fallen for him at first sight after a chance meeting, and later asked around to find out his address?

Mo Yixuan frowned and he looked a little incredulous.

This woman had appeared all of sudden into his life in such a strange manner.

He didn’t know how to deal with this situation.

He wondered if she would pursue him with even more fervor if he didn’t give her a response.

He stuffed the scarf back into his closet.

Ah well, she was just a stranger to him. She might have been inspired to draw him and later sent him a gift to express her grat.i.tude. He might have been reading too much into her actions. ——

He Xiyan entered a men’s boutique.

She browsed through the shop and she didn’t know where to look because of the numerous items on display but finally, a blue and white striped tie caught her eye. It looked like it was exquisitely made and it would match easily with most clothes, including black and white s.h.i.+rts.

She pointed at the tie and looked at the sales a.s.sistant.

“h.e.l.lo, I’d like to take a look at that tie please,” she said.

The sales a.s.sistant was a young woman in her twenties. She looked appraisingly at He Xiyan who looked like a student. She didn’t just notice her looks, but she also looked at her clothing.

She noticed He Xiyan’s faded denim jeans and a down jacket that looked like it was bought from the discount store in a mall at 60% off. She guessed that this woman’s clothes did not cost as much as the tie in their shop.

“Would she be able to afford it?” she wondered.

She smiled warmly and took out the tie from the display.

“h.e.l.lo, please try not to dirty it,” she reminded He Xiyan.

A soiled tie would affect their sales.

He Xiyan took the tie and touched it. As she had expected, it was a good quality tie that was smooth to the touch. It also looked like it would go well with most clothes.

“May I know if this is on sale?” she asked as she held the tie in her hand. This was the tie she was most inclined to buy after browsing through five or six stores.

However, it was on the expensive side at 878 dollars.

This was the first time she had purchased such an expensive product. She had a.s.sumed that it would’ve cost a maximum of 400 dollars but it seems like international brands were more expensive than she had imagined.

The sales a.s.sistant smiled and sensed that she could close this deal since He Xiyan was asking about the price.

“There’s a 20% discount on this at the moment and if you buy two ties, I’ll let you have both at 30% off the retail price. This is a Valentine’s day promotion we’re currently running. It’s a good deal,” she said as she smiled her signature smile.
