Chapter 761: Power of the Girl with the Black Spear

Ye Mo had arrived just in time to see the two dragon parts go on a rampage. He could take this chance to achieve a breakthrough for the Golden Element Indestructible Tribulation.

He activated his Zhu Immortal Domain and enveloped himself in it as he faced the two dragons fearlessly.

The golden dragon was obviously not going to be an easy opponent. The instant it came into contact with the Zhu Immortal Domain, the domain shattered to pieces, allowing the two dragon bodies to get a direct hit on Ye Mo. The golden ax’s attack landed right on him, and explosions erupted from the inside of his body.

The black-clothed lady watched the scene unfold in shock. She hadn’t expected the guy who ran away to return. What’s more, never had she ever thought that this person would defend her from this fatal blow.

When she finally came to her senses, she grabbed Ye Mo with one arm as her other held on to her long black spear. The spear was like a tornado, releasing endless rays of black light that bombarded the ox king like a violent storm.

But, when the spear rays. .h.i.t the ox king, that steel-like hair on his body burst into countless sparks.

It was obvious that such an attack was useless to break the ox king’s defenses.

When the lady in black used her spear as a defense, the arc sliced it into two halves. She threw the remaining half of her spear at the ox king without any hesitation as she held onto Ye Mo and escaped into the distance.

“Do you think you can run?”

As the lady carried Ye Mo away, he managed to take full advantage of that flexible body of hers. After getting a good look at her, he thought she was a real beauty indeed, except for the fact that her face showed a hint of coldness.

Her coldness was different from that of Yao Yue’s. Yao Yue looked cold due to the effects of her cultivation, but this lady was, perhaps, naturally that cold.

Ye Mo came back to his senses when he heard the ox king’s yell, and saw an ancient beast the size of a tidal wave right in front of them. The situation was still extremely dangerous.

“You can let me down,” Ye Mo said lightly. “I’m fine now.”

“You’re fine?” The lady was shocked. Had it been her who’d taken a direct hit from the attack, she would have suffered some serious damage. Yet, this man in front of her was fine, even though he was barely in the middle stage of the Profound World level.

“Won’t die from it,” Ye Mo said with a laugh.

“You’re Ye Mo?” The lady remembered now that she had indeed seen a middle-stage Profound World castellan, who was also a league leader, in the Thousand Cities List.

“Let’s cut the talk. Use my spear. It should help you to finish off that thing.”

Ye Mo retrieved his Sky Blood Spear from his domain and handed it to the lady in black.

“It’s a mid-grade celestial weapon?”

Though stunned, the lady didn’t waste a second asking questions. She took the Sky Blood Spear from Ye Mo and swung it at the incoming herd of beasts. As expected, the power of a mid-grade celestial weapon was mighty, especially when combined with the lady’s strong cultivation. The beasts collapsed to the ground with a few swings of the spear.

“A long spear that’s a mid-grade celestial weapon?” The ox king was stunned as he stared at the long spear in the lady’s hands. He hadn’t expected the guy who had returned to bring out a mid-grade celestial weapon.

With the Sky Blood Spear in her hands, the lady’s momentum increased greatly. Now that she had a mid-grade celestial weapon, breaking through the ox king’s defenses was no problem. With her cultivation level, it would be a piece of cake to defeat him.

The golden dragon appeared once again to deal with the lady’s attacks.

As the attacks from both parties collided, the ma.s.sive body of the ox king smashed into the mountain walls like a cannonball. A spurt of blood splattered from his mouth.

The black-clothed lady was an experienced one. She left the ox king with no chance of fighting back as she attacked again right away with more ultimate spear technique combos, engulfing the whole gorge with spear rays. The ox king had no way of escaping.

With the combination of those killing techniques, both Ye Mo and the ox king witnessed the might of this lady in black.

“How can this be? I am the ox king, a beast with tens of thousands of years of cultivation. Even if you possess a mid-grade celestial weapon, it’s impossible for you to defeat me so easily.”

The ox king was going to go all out. Yet, before he could even rise from the ground, he was once again suppressed by the black-clothed lady, leaving him no way to speak. The lady’s spear rays enveloped his body, and slowly, those steel-like hairs on his body broke, one after another, as his body bled profusely at the same time.

With a few more bursts of attacks, the ox king died, not without an unresigned look on his face.

Ye Mo watched all this unfold in front of him and couldn’t help but gasp. This lady was powerful, indeed, and the spear techniques that she had displayed made him think.

After killing the ox king, the lady turned around to face Ye Mo as she returned the Sky Blood Spear to him. “I saved your life, and you saved mine. We’re even. Here’s your spear.”

“Your spear techniques are very impressive. I’m in awe,” Ye Mo praised her as he took back his spear.

“Once you reach my level, your spear techniques are sure to surpa.s.s mine. Since the beasts have been killed, you can have all the demon crystals.”

Having said that, the lady stepped atop a long spear and flew out of the gorge without another word.

“This lady’s spear techniques seem quite familiar to me,” Hong Ling said all of a sudden after the lady in black had left.

“Familiar? Could she be related to a relative of yours?”

Ye Mo’s lips curled involuntarily as he began to tidy up the battlefield. He had reaped some benefits from the encounter with the ancient beast this time. Not only had he upgraded his Sky Blood Spear to a mid-grade celestial weapon, he’d even achieved a breakthrough for the Golden Element Indestructible Tribulation.

As if something had suddenly come to mind, Hong Ling let out a cry of shock. “She is indeed related to a relative. I was wondering why it was so familiar, and it’s because she uses the Black Spear Technique.”
