"Hey! Release me before you leave!"s.h.i.+ Mei yelled but she didn't hear any response. She needed to leave this place or she would be gone crazy. As she thought and internalized what she heard a while ago made her dizzy.

[the Kingdom of Dragon. I heard it clearly. Everything that's happening to me is so impossible and absurd but if this is real. Then I will not be surprised anymore if there is the Kingdom of Dragon, literally.]

Suddenly, the door opened. It was a little boy, stretching his feeble arms. He looked disinterestedly to s.h.i.+ Mei.

"Lady." the little boy yawned as he turned his back but at the thought of it, he immediately faced s.h.i.+ Mei.

"I only dreamed of a lady last night yet it really appeared in my master's residence. That's amazing."s.h.i.+ Mei quickly approached the little boy and held his both shoulder.

"Dream? Did you dream of me? What happened in your dream? How did I appear in your sleep?"s.h.i.+ Mei asked the little boy continuously. The little boy stared blankly at s.h.i.+ Mei, he yawned again but eventually shrugged his shoulder.

"I don't know my lady, I only saw the back of the lady."

"Is that what you only saw in your dream?"

"I guess the lady was gazing at the pond of lotuses."

"Then how did I disappear in your dream?"

"How did you disappear, My lady?" the little boy repeated as he thought about it while s.h.i.+ Mei waited anxiously at the response of the boy.

"Oh I remember now! You disappeared when I woke up."the little boy answered confidently while s.h.i.+ Mei twisted her lips as she looked at the boy grimly. But she chose to leave the room and calmed herself than dealing with a little boy. She thought that it was only a dream of the boy there's nothing for her to fuss about it.

She stopped at the realization of it as she roamed her eyes around her. At first, she only walked in the corners but she eventually ran out of the house

"Where are you going my lady?!"s.h.i.+ Mei ignored it as she stepped down from the house. She only stopped when she reached the yard, she was breathing heavily but she didn't mind about it and tried to think rightly of what's actually happening to her.

[Think about it, it's inconceivable if I really transported in the Ancient Times. That's beyond in every possible thing that could happen in this world.]

s.h.i.+ Mei looked at her surroundings again, she took a breath.

I['m only dreaming. This is not true. Maybe because of those whispering I heard and the sudden strong wind, I pa.s.sed out and I'm having a nightmare now. I need to wake up!]

The little boy watched s.h.i.+ Mei, walking back and forth in the yard while biting her nail. So he walked towards s.h.i.+ Mei and tapped her other arm. s.h.i.+ Mei closed her eyes and refused to entertain it. She needed to wake up or else she might really believe that she was really in another time.

"My Lady, what are you doing?"s.h.i.+ Mei pretended not to hear the voice of the little boy but she eventually opened her eyes and turned to him.

"Come on s.h.i.+ Mei, don't tell me you believe with this absurd thing. You only need to wake up."the little boy scratched the back of his head as he looked at s.h.i.+ Mei, closing her eyes again.

[Wake up! Wake up! Wake Up!]

At the corner of the yard, the three men and the servants were helping each other to support the prince.

"Master!" the little boy shrilled when he saw the condition of his master. While Xue Huan halted and stared at s.h.i.+ Mei as he put down his hand from his chest.

s.h.i.+ Mei opened her eyes and she looked at her surrounding. And to her disappointment, she was still in the same place. Then her eyes paused at the gaze of a pair of eyes. She clenched her fist then she walked towards Xue Huan. She's already aware of what's happening to her but she still wanted to check it. Until the end, she refused to believe it.

"Tell me honestly, where I am now?" she immediately asked as she stood in front of Xue Huan.

"I'm not dreaming and I'm in your time. No, I'm in the other dimension of the world. Am I correct?"s.h.i.+ Mei tried to be undisturbed about it but she turned to be a desperate one.

"Is this your tactic? If you want to be released then state who is your master? And why did your master send you-"

"Oh stop!"s.h.i.+ Mei said with her ear-splitting voice. She wanted to reject the idea that she transported to another dimension. And she tried not to feel it but at once, she's terrified.

She had no idea of everything that's happening to her. No one would give a good explanation to make her understand the whole situation. And even if someone would explain to her, she knew she's hard-headed to believe it easily. And the only thing she could do now was to check it.

s.h.i.+ Mei pulled out the ornamental hairpin from her hair. She stretched out her arm as she gripped the hairpin tightly. Without further ado, she used the hairpin to cut her skin. She was thunderstruck upon seeing her blood as the pain started to spread in her arm.

[Blood. So this is not a dream anymore. This is real.]

She couldn't speak and she felt like the air stopped flowing in her throat. She gazed at Xue Huan with pain written in her face but it's not because of her wound. She felt helpless and weak.

"Why did I end up here?"She murmured under her breath as her eyes slowly to close and her legs wobbled-

Xue Huan quickly caught s.h.i.+ Mei in his arm. While the others were still dumbfounded by the action of s.h.i.+ Mei. As if it was their first time to meet the kind of lady who would really cut her skin without hesitation.
