Having been sleep deprived and on high alert for several days, all three of them were drop dead asleep for the period of their journey to the grand empire. The Empire is located in the middle region of the high seas continent.

As such, it was a small continent, but the entire continent is known for its rich mana reserves. Anyone with a xenon, standing in the high seas continent, can see their mana regeneration stat increase temporarily. Also, because of its size, the whole continent had been cleared of monsters and magical beasts and was easier to maintain peace and safety.

Max had been instructed to take Eluraa to the Empire's capital city, Star city. After journeying for five long days, they finally reached the vicinity of star city. Eluraa was still asleep but s.h.i.+ Meng and Jian Tan had woken up a couple of days ago and were inhaling the breath taking sights of the high seas continent.

They both in fact noticed the missing fox, but didn't say anything and decided to respect Eluraa's secrecy. Max was a bit worried about Eluraa's condition and checked on her vital signs from time to time. But she seemed to be doing fine and just in a deep slumber.

Soon, they arrived at Star city. The entire city sprawled for a good 5000 square miles and was surrounded by huge gigantic walls. Several tall and elegant buildings covered the whole city area. Particularly, the Royal Kingdom was located in the center region of the Star city.

One could see trained Level 100 combat masters guarding every exit and entrance and watch posts covering any inch of the city's great barrier wall. Apart from that, squadrons of Level 100 combat masters constantly patrol the areas and ensure that there has been no infiltration whatsoever.

Put together, all the security measures make Star city, the safest establishment for human clan. Apart from the presence of the royal kingdom, the city also boasts about all the main centers for the different professions.

All the collected rare metals and herbs were stored in the city's vaults. The highest grade profession masters all resided here and were heavily guarded to ensure their safety. Without the natural ability of the other clans and the magical beasts, human clan depended a lot on the professions, to stay tall and firm and guard their bases.

Max dropped all three of them in a local inn and asked them to rest a bit. Eluraa had finally woken up when they landed and Jian Tan filled her in on the details.

"Wow you had such a long sleep! Even I am amazed! Are you feeling better? We should go and explore the city. This is definitely a rare chance for us."

"hmm. Maybe because I was feeling extremely drained. I am feeling better now. But, I think I will head to my room now. I will see you guys later in the evening."

Eluraa slowly climbed up the stairs and went to her allocated room. She couldn't believe it. They had gone through so much these past few days. They had literally lost all their cla.s.smates and even their lives were hanging on by a thread. But, still these two bounced back to normalcy in an instance.

"Is this what this era has been reduced to .. so many young lives lost .. but none of it was even out of place.. just another attack.. just another battle .. this is truly sad.. "

"Well I am too weak to do anything about any of this right now.. I can't even protect myself completely.. First, let me check if i recovered even a little bit."

Immediately, as if right on cue, a white fur ball showed up in her lap, looking cute as ever. Though the looks didn't help its cause very much. Every time Eluraa looked at it, she was only fuming inside. But still, it was spilt milk and there is nothing much to be done now.

Eluraa just lifted it up and asked it teasingly, "How are you going to help me get back my mana stats?"

"....."

"And you can't answer. What in the world am I going to do with you? And how did you even manage to escape Max's detection? hmm."

"Wait a second. wait a second. I was preoccupied and didn't think of this earlier back in forest. But, didn't you communicate with us back when we met you? That too, not even verbally! It was a more complex mental communication! And now you are playing dumb?!"
