Herald and Nidaros were looking at the records of the five students standing in front of them. Nidaros grumpily exclaimed, "I don't have a problem with these four students, but allowing a yellow affinity student to bind the xenon is an utter waste of resources. Lingtian, you very well know that there are only thousands of these available so far and we need to nurture future generation experts as well. Maybe the girl has some talent in sword mastery but she will still finish last, if we allowed the students a few more years of training. Having a red affinity is more important than combat mastery."

"I agree with Nid as well. Maybe we can reward her by bringing her along for the live combat training outside but reserve the last xenon for the fifth blood academy student" Herald added. Hearing these comments Eluraa was panicking on the side.

But, luckily for her, Lingtian stood firmly "Esteemed experts, you very well know that this is outside my jurisdiction. I merely follow the emperor's orders. I dare not defy him and commit treason. I apologize, but these have been the academy's rules for ages and I am not at liberty to change them. Besides, max here, who also has a yellow affinity and bound a xenon bracelet, has contributed above and beyond what was required of him. Unless you have a royal decree stating otherwise, we have to go along with the results of the combat tournament. I apologize."

Lingtian then, carefully took out the five xenon bracelets from the royal chest which arrived earlier, "These are the top most secretive weapons we have on our side. It is because of these that we are able to hold our own against the magical clans of this world. You students are too young to understand this, but we face great peril outside these academy walls. Before I give you these, please step forward and swear that you will always be faithful to the empire and never bring harm to our clan."

The students sincerely took their oath and bound the xenon bracelet, they were awarded. "Before activating, remember to never divulge your xenon stats to anyone. Not even to your parents, your siblings, your lover or to your emperor. This is for your own safety. Anybody can be mind controlled, given the right scenario. Not matter how strong you are, anyone would be able to counter you if they had the correct xenon stats specifics for you" Lingtian warned.

Nidaros gruffly added, "I will give you the remainder of today's time to get familiar with your xenon and prepare for the journey. We will be leaving tomorrow early morning for a week of live combat training. The dangers you will be facing are many. Don't think that just because me and Herald will be accompanying you, it will be safe. Outside these walls, there are things beyond our control. Be mentally prepared to fight for your life and escape at any given instant. This is not a vacation trip for recreation."

The students hurriedly retired to their individual dormitories. Eluraa carefully placed her xenon on her wrist and fastened the clips. The xenon gets activated as soon as it is clipped and it is not removable or destroyable, to a certain extent, after that.

A translucent light blue screen appeared in front of her and displayed several lines of details.

Eluraa was pleasantly surprised looking at this. She hadn't expected technology to have developed to such an extent. It even quantified her misrepresented affinity accurately as white. All her strengths and weaknesses were laid out in front of her. Lord Lingtian was right to order them to not reveal this information to anyone else.

Eluraa was looking at her stats and noted down the things she needed to work on. "Looks like I have an extremely large mana supply and mana regeneration rate thanks to the elemental energies. I have suffered through a million years of torture. So, the high soul strength, intellect and focus are also as expected. But looks like if someone needed to kill me all they have to do is catch me off guard and swiftly deal a killing blow. These 200 attributes are laughable."

All students around five to ten years of age are expected to have approximately 200 as almost every attribute's value. This is why they are prohibited from going outside academy walls. They can be killed in an instant and the dead cannot be resurrected.

The students usually train and develop their physical strength and combat mastery till they reach ten years of age. Then they choose their respective secondary skills and train in their secondary skills till they are 18 years old. Then they are a.s.signed teams to carry out level 0 to 10 missions. The levels of the missions proportionally increase with the levels of the students. This enables them to gain experience and build strength gradually.

Once they reach level 50, they have sufficient experience and power to individually decide their fate. They are still prohibited from travelling outside the colony without official orders but they are free to join the royal empire or the different combat guilds and accept official missions through either route. This will give them more information and increase their degree of safety.
