Eluraa heaved a huge sigh and returned back home chatting happily with her parents. They had a huge dinner celebration that night and invited the whole village. Her parents were very proud of her and introduced her results to everyone. Her mom and dad only stopped boasting, after making every single one of the guests jealous. Eluraa sat there and warmly gazed at her parents. Once she leaves with the academy escort, it would be a while before she gets to meet her parents again. She smiled contently, "At the least I spent wonderful times with kind parents in both my life times".

Eluraa's mom and dad were busy the whole week and prepared everything necessary for her to travel to her new academy. Even though they were poor, they managed to sc.r.a.p together decent clothes and consumables for their precious daughter. Soon, the end of that week arrived and a mysterious man emitting a strong aura was waiting for them at their door step. Just by looking at him you can tell that he is dangerous and can slaughter you in an instant. Common people could barely withstand the pressure around him and this is even after him concealing his strength.

Eluraa's parents respectfully bid her farewell at a distance. They didn't want to do anything to upset the expert. Though they were sad to part with their darling daughter, they understood that she had immense potential and were happy that her future was going to be bright beyond their imagination.

The masked academy escort instructed Eluraa to follow him. They both walked in silence for about two hours. Eluraa tried asking him how far is the Ashenville academy from her village, but she received no reply. She silently wished for other people in the academy to not be so cold. Soon they arrived near a mountain range and the masked escort blew his whistle loudly. Eluraa was startled for a second and on turning around, she almost fell over.

A majestic huge bird was standing right next to her. Such an incredible speed for a huge magical creature was very impressive. This is the first time she was in contact with a magical creature in this life time. She nearly teared up. "The bird is my fighting partner and she won't hurt you, unless you attack me" the silent expert finally spoke a few words and comforted Eluraa.

Without waiting for a reply, he lifted Eluraa up and placed her on the saddle, bundled next to him. As if it was reading his thoughts, the bird immediately took off and soared high up in the sky. They had a long way to travel and the bird hated being a ride to others. She had a strong fighting spirit and only loved hunting and battling. The expert patted her gently on the back and promised her a feast when they reached the destination.

Her gigantic, cherry blossoms colored, beautiful wings made the bird extremely fast and after a six-hour long journey, they could finally see the outskirts of the Ashenville academy. The bird circled around a couple of times and finally landed in the middle of nowhere. Eluraa still had no idea how they arrived here. She could vaguely make out the water bodies, but everything else was a blur. Her head was spinning even after getting off of the bird. She slowly took a sip of water and turned around to meet the escort for instructions. One man and one bird had completely disappeared into thin air.

Eluraa was actually not that surprised. This was perfectly in line with their previous behavior. "ughh. Why are people so cold!" She sighed and slowly looked around. She saw some building structures in the eastern direction and started walking towards the gate area lugging her huge back pack along. All her clothes were almost torn and totally shabby from the six-hour long high-speed ride. That, combined with the disfigurement spell she casts on herself every morning to change her facial features, she looked extremely ragged and was a sight to behold.

After a half an hour walk, she finally reached the building gates and entered silently to enquire about further directions. But as soon as she took a step inside, there was a huge commotion and there were loud roars and hisses and all sorts of animal noises. Eluraa trembled slightly and looked around, only to find herself surrounded by numerous magical beasts. There were all sorts of magical creatures, including the huge bird from earlier. The two-headed lion and the enormous crocodile scared her the most.

Noticing the commotion, all the students near the area were surprised and the gate keeper panicked and rushed towards the stables area. Luckily for Eluraa, people with yellow affinity had quite a good sense of hearing and gate keeper could sense her being in danger. He swiftly entered the stables and blew a whistle, which calmed all the creatures and returned outside with a frozen Eluraa.

Slowly students started gathering around and she was extremely embarra.s.sed. She composed herself and slowly apologized to the gatekeeper "Ahhh! Thank you so much, my lord. I am very sorry for my actions. I should not have rashly entered the building". Immediately everyone bursted out laughing. Someone loudly replied back "Hey ugly! That's not how you address someone. Use the term teacher or master! Are you a b.u.mpkin? They are just letting anyone in here these days" Again there was a huge wave of laughter.

Eluraa was deeply embarra.s.sed and hurriedly asked the gatekeeper for directions. He kindly pointed the way for her to the main administrative office area. Rus.h.i.+ng fast in that direction and trying to avoid the surrounding students, she almost tripped over and again there was laughter. Eluraa was trying her very best to control herself. In her two lifetimes combined, she had never experienced anything like this. She took a minute, calmed herself down and walked towards the administrative offices.

Before long, there were some students blocking her path again and ridiculing her. She was almost at her limits. She wanted to just wipe the floor with these jerks. She muttered to herself, lay low, lay low and bending her head down walked around these students. Right when she was going to enter the office, she b.u.mped into something hard. Eluraa looked up and saw a fatty blocking her path. He even had some food crumbs on his face and said loudly, "hey you! Stop right there!". The fatty Chutput Yan was looking for some scapegoat for his latest fiasco. He failed to take care of his energy crystal and misplaced it somehwere. Since this haggard looking girl just arrived at the academy, she might have an unused crystal and his plan was to bully her for it. But unfortunately for him…

Eluraa's eyes became blood shot. As soon as she saw the fatty, memories came flooding back to her. She lost all her reason and completely lost control. Her eyes went dark and her face was ashen. She looked like she was going to kill him. The pressure she exuded was constantly increasing. The fatty was shaking and s.h.i.+vering. He wanted to run away. But he couldn't move an inch. He couldn't breathe. He just stood there whimpering.
