Alighting from the back seat, he notices us and hurries over to a.s.sist

"Boss you are here!"

I nod "Jaemin, tell me what's wrong"

In case you are wondering who this is, remember the bar incident? Jaemin Hoon, the guy who as under orders of that Director. His one and the same. I've been keeping him as my eyes and ears to the daily running of things.

"There's an emergency board meeting, they are are discussing the removal of the successor plan"

"WHY AM I ONLY BEING INFORMED OF THIS NOW!" I roar

"Boss, it looks like someone has been planning this for a while. As soon as news got out that you were in hospital they sent out notices almost immediately"

"Let's hurry then.. I can't be late to my own funeral.. Let's go"

Taking a deep breath, I walk on my own and enter the building following him.

Jaemin leads us past security and all the checks as we hasten to the board room. I hear a fierce debate occurring inside.

"How can you even suggest changing the chaebol? The kid's got 51% of the shares. If his unhappy and decides to fire sale we are screwed"

"He wouldn't dare!" I hear my another say, "Even if he does, we have right of first purchase "

"Where are we going to get 50 billion dollars from to purchase it from him?" The man counters

"We can slowly raise the funds ...for now about the vote to remove him as the successor. How should we proceed?" Another person chimes in.

"Obviously we remove him... It only needs a ordinary resolution to succeed (50%) but will need a special resolution (75%) to overturn."

"We need to move fast! I didn't call this meeting so we can keep arguing. Let's vote! And kick the kid out already. All in favour, raise your hands." I hear my uncle's voice resonate through the room

Up until now I was holding out hope that he wasn't one of the people scheming behind the scenes. But that's clearly not the situation I find myself in. It seems like his been planning this for a while. How cliche of a development.

"13 in favour, 6 against - 65% of voting rights present in favour. Motion is...."

I signal for Jaemin to open the doors, he proceeds. Interrupting the meeting. The men and women turn to the new face.

Jaemin then moves out of the way as I make my entrance.

In the room, is a long mahogany table that seats about twenty. Every seat is filled except one. That's probably mine.

Looking around the shock on the faces inside is as clear as day. It's self evident that they didn't antic.i.p.ate my attendance today

"I'm not late am I?"

"Dylan!" My uncle looks shocked. He was clearly one of them who voted for my removal.

"Hi there.... sorry for the intrusion. I got into a little bit of an accident which caused me to be a little late. I hope you don't mind?" I ask smugly looking towards the Chairman of the board whose to the right of my uncle.

"So do I get to vote now before you announce the result Mr Song?" I offer him a very fake smile, waiting for a response

He panics and starts fiddling through doc.u.ments on the desk and starts nervously answering "The.....the..... vote is already closed... you are too late"

"Oh really? Then let's just reopen the matter" Turning to my allies, I say " All in favour say I", the 6 who voted for me in the previous round, once more vote with me.

"If you add my voting rights.... I should have enough for it to pa.s.s right?" I ask rhetorically

"Okay now, on to the matter of my removal? Who voted ..... for it.... and why was it brought up!?" I turn to the rest of the board. They are sweating profusely, the signs of nerves visibly present.

None of them dare to answer my question. Cowards who were acting high and mighty until just 10 minutes ago can't even talk back to a teenager?

Seeing that he won't be getting the result he wanted, my uncle stands up, "Since we already know the outcome. Let's just record it.... Motion to remove successor Dylan Park .... denied"

He walks out before turning back and saying, "Dylan... when you are better .... come visit me. I will explain everything. Go back to the hospital for now"
