Chapter 232: Two Paths

"Are we going back to the atoll, master?" At this time, the golden beauty walked beside him and inquired.

After staying silent for a few moments while staring in a direction, Virus finally replied, "No, we'll go to 4 Times Square for now. I want to see the CEO ugly."

"Welcome back, master." When they arrived at 4 Times Square, the CEO ugly was already patiently waiting outside as he warmly welcomed him.

"Let's go inside." For some reason, Virus wasn't in the mood to even nod his head as he just pa.s.sed by the bowing CEO ugly and entered the building behind him.

"So, do we have enough capital to enter other industries now? Report." The moment they came to the highest floor of 4 Times Square, sitting on the couch, Virus inquired.

"About that matter, master, we've already transported half of the cure to a variety of countries in the world, while the rest are being exported as we speak, though it will take some time for everything to be sent away and delivered. Anyway, in short, half of the capital has already been received." He started his report with the current capital they had at hand.

To be truthful, making so many of 'Ai Virus 001: The Savior' in a short period of time would've been literally impossible. Fortunately though, as Virus had already seen all of this coming, before he left for the Cultivation Multiverse of Qi, at the same time as he transferred the method of creating the Mutated HIV, he also sent the method and the blueprint of making the 'Ai Virus 001: The Savior' too while ordering the Island ugly to ma.s.s-produce it.

"Hmm, I realized you're still not doing anything. So what are you waiting for?" Virus inquired further.

"Actually… I was looking for the right opportunity to converse with master before beginning the process of entering the other industries since there are some necessary points I would like to share with master and ask for his opinion." Said the CEO ugly.

"I'm listening." Looking into his eyes, Virus murmured.

Nodding his head, the CEO ugly began to explain, "Alright, so here is the deal. There are two options by which we can expand our company. The first one is to enter a variety of different industries at the same time, and the seconds one is to enter them one by one."

Not stopping there at all, he continued, "Now, if we take the first route and enter a lot of industries at the same time, we will be forced to continue buying and purchasing a lot of necessary material in ma.s.s from other people and other industries, which means we will be dependent upon them and their goods heavily. For example, right now, in order to make cars, we are thoroughly relying upon the mining industry, since we need minerals like steel, aluminum, iron, t.i.tanium, etc. for producing cars."

He added further, "Or another example is that other than some of the futuristic pieces we create in our limited small factories which counts as our secret, we buy the rest of the essential pieces and parts from the Manufacturing Industry, which means we need them too. Now, other than these, there are also gla.s.s, plastic, etc. which we also purchase them all from others."

Pausing for a very short moment at this point, he proceeded, "This is only when we talk about our automotive branch. Now, in case we enter a lot of other industries at the same time, you can imagine and calculate just how much we would need to buy in order to run each of them and keep them running. This scenario, other than being an extremely wasteful way of expending money which will cause us a lot of harm because we are basically unknown in those areas, will also limit our expansion since in that case, we haven't truly used the real worth of our money."

By now, from his tone alone, it was pretty obvious he was against choosing this option, "Moreover, this is only the case if everything progresses smoothly with no kind of obstruction from anyone which I'm sure it's nigh impossible. Because if we enter a lot of different industries and throw out a whole lot of futuristic technologies or things similar at the same time… we will be the enemy of the entire world in a single night! Just like how we became the enemy of all Phone Industries in the past. Like this though, the consequence will be much more severe as we will greatly risk the progress of those new industries we're going to enter along with our current ones."

"Since, for example, the entire mining industry might stop providing us with the material we need for every branch of our company including the Automotive branch and I'm talking only about the mining industry here! Like this, our entire company will be crippled in a matter of days and it will probably lead us to be utterly destroyed and eventually, financially bankrupt!"

"Furthermore, if we take this route, I'm sure master will be pretty busy killing the entire world off and every CEO there is in it." Showing a helpless grin at this point, the CEO ugly stated in a half-joking half-serious manner. However, if one was aware of what was going inside him right now, that person would realize he was dead serious right now!

And then, he would further realize and doubt that the CEO ugly was mostly trying to save the world from this monster called Virus in front of him, rather than the other way around of saving the company from the rest of the world.

At this point, Virus was sharply gazing into the CEO ugly's eyes as if he could clearly see through his thoughts and intentions. However, not saying anything regarding his thoughts, he uttered, "I understand, proceed."

By now, a few beads of sweat had shown up on his forehead, but hearing his master tell him to continue, he let out a breath of relief as he started talking again, "Okay… now we arrive at the latter option, which is to enter different industries one by one in a gradual manner after laying some foundation on each of them."

"What I'm actually suggesting here is for us to start from the very basic industry, which I believe to be the Mining Industry, and after that, the most suitable one for us is the Manufacturing Industry."

"So my plan is to begin with the most basic one and as we progress further, we shall enter other industries one after another by laying an unshakeable foundation for our entire company. Like this, not only will we have our own mineral, but we will also have our own Manufacturing Industry which will constantly produce us the different pieces and parts we require."

"If we take this route, there will be no waste of money, the risk will be also lowered to the bare minimum possible, and more importantly, we won't be so easy to bully! If in the future, the Mining Industry won't provide us with minerals, we will mine our own minerals! If Manufacturing Industry no longer sells us different pieces and parts we need in ma.s.s, we will produce our own parts!"

"This will also ultimately lead us to be an independent company from every other company or industry in the whole world as we will be a complete cycle, a gigantic system to be more precise! A system that can sustain itself! A company that can control its own fate without any reliance on others!" With brightly s.h.i.+ning eyes, the CEO ugly excitedly articulated his final purpose.
