As a matter of fact, Jin Xiangdong needed no such comforting words . Ever since the day he woke up from his surgery, he was informed that he would be different . Jin Xiangdong put it on quickly . As he b.u.t.toned his cuff, he asked, “How far along are you with the new project you talked about last time?”

Jin Xianglan batted her eyelashes when she heard the question . “Stage four . ” She answered with a not so pleasant tone .

“Is it going well?” Jin Xiangdong went on .

Jin Xianglan shook her head . He could not tell what she was thinking from her expression .

Jin Xiangdong took a closer look at Jin Xianglan's expression . “The only thing I can help with is providing funding . ”

Jin Xianglan could not help but burst into laughter . “Are you flaunting your wealth? Remaining low profile is a family tradition!”

Jin Xiangdong laughed as well . Given Jin Xianglan's own reputation, funding was not what was lacking in her research project . The current difficulty must lie within the experiment .

“Actually, I can accept it, whether yes or no . ” Jin Xianglan smiled .

Jin Xiangdong's mouth twitched . His answer was mixed with truth and falsehood . “Since I am special, the woman I like must be unusual as well!”

The smile froze on Jin Xianglan's lips but it came back the next second . “Of course, the woman that my brother falls for won't be normal . ”

Jin Xiangdong laughed . “What if she is special, like me?”

“How special?” She followed with a question .

Jin Xiangdong smiled instead of giving an instant reply . “I can tell that, Sister, you have prepared yourself mentally . ” He said after a while .

Jin Xianglan smiled and then added, “I don't think there is anything I cannot accept now . ”

Jin Xiangdong was surprised . “Where is this coming from?”

Jin Xianglan came back to her senses . “As a scientific research personnel, my lifelong wish is to create new things . Do you think it's a problem for me to accept new things?” She answered with a question .

There was no bone to be picked here . Jin Xiangdong nodded . “Agreed . ”

However, he must put more thoughts into Jin Xianglan's words . Had she already found out the real ident.i.ty of Lu Jia'er?

Jin Xiangdong came straight back home after dropping Jin Xianglan off at the airport .

Jin Xiangdong darted a glance at the pa.s.sports in Colin's hands . “Don't you already have the pa.s.sports?” Jin Xiangdong said .

Colin smiled as he waved the pa.s.sports in his hands . “Don't you think you should say thank you to me?”

When they were in that car accident in Los Angeles, they did owe Colin for his help . On this front, Jin Xiangdong could be scrupulous in separating public from private interests . “Thank you,” said Jin Xiangdong .

Colin smiled a smug smile . “Goodbye!”

When Colin was walking past Jin Xiangdong, the latter asked all of a sudden, “What was your true intention?”

Colin stopped . He turned around to Jin Xiangdong and said, “I take pleasure in helping people . ”

Jin Xiangdong could not help but sneer at the answer . “Name your terms . As long as it is within my ability, I will satisfy your needs to pay the debt of grat.i.tude for saving us that day!”

Colin burst into a bitter laugh . “The coordinate you gave me is a fake one . Do you think I can trust you again?”

Jin Xiangdong looked straight into his eyes . “I can give you the real coordinate . But can you give me an honest answer to the question?”

“I have always been honest!” Colin claimed .

“Did you kidnap Su Han?” Jin Xiangdong came straight to the point .

Colin was taken aback by the question . Then, he put on a smile, “Who is Su Han? I don't know her!”

“I captured something from your expression there . You are lying . ” Lu Jia'er interposed .

“Didn't you say that you have always been honest?” Jin Xiangdong asked at once .

The smile on Colin's face seemed to carry profound meanings . “I see that you don't trust me at all . ”

“Fine . Say you don't know Su Han . Then, what was your intention when following us?” Lu Jia'er pressed on .
