476 Decade's Old Thief

"Almost seventy percent," Ang calculated. They had taken note of every artwork that the master thief stole and had attempted to track down the thief's activities yet they were close to nothing. Not one, not even Xhemin and Ziggy himself got any clue as to who this person was and why he was taking all of Huzey's artwork aside from the fact that probably he's one of his huge fans. Also, aside from the La Agartha, the other pieces—Huzey's paintings and other statues—they had no idea where the master thief brought it.

"G.o.d! This is bad," Ziggy cupped his head hopelessly. "How are we to collect everything back when we don't even know where they are,"

When Xhemin got access to all the money her mother left her, she and Ziggy decided to go after every piece of Huzey's artwork but with the master thief around, their plan was far from happening. They certainly had no time chasing around a decade's old thief which the lead investigators in the country couldn't even identify.

"And what's with this girl Darryl mentioned Xhemin?" Ziggy turned to her best friend who was currently eating her breakfast. She left Darryl's apartment early, but not early enough to catch the breakfast time in the Golden Villa so she had to eat alone while Ziggy was blabbering.

"I don't know. All he got was that he saw him saving Huzey during the time of our accident in the loch," Xhemin said while her hand was busy with the spoon and fork, "But she's really suspicious to me," She said the last word with animosity as if the girl was some kind of culprit. She couldn't forget the feelings that ran through her last night when she saw Darryl chasing the woman and that made her decide against her innocence.

"Are you suggesting she's the master thief?" Ang interjected. Aside from taking care of the children, Ang had taken the part of worrying about things that both Xhemin and Ziggy were worrying.

"Nah," Xhemin disagreed. "She can't be the master thief Ang. She's too young to be the master thief since as I remembered correctly, that master thief had already been stealing around this county, even before we were born. That girl from last night, she's probably younger than me so unless she drank some kind of potion that can make someone young, then she can't be the master thief. Besides wasn't it settled that the master thief is a man?"

"It's what the authorities said but we can't be certain," Ziggy expressed, then added something that just struck him "Perhaps she's an accomplice...or someone he knew? Probably a kin?"

"Interesting," Xhemin voiced out before she took another bite, "If that's true then I wonder how it felt to be a kin of someone as mysterious as the master thief himself. To be honest, although I know that he's a thief, I kind of adore his wit and guts. Someone like him must be very smart...strong...and I don't know...I don't have the perfect word to describe how impressive he is,"

"I agree with you," Ziggy seconded. "I wonder what's he's like on ordinary days,"

"But Miss Leigh, youngest sire, didn't you suspect before that it was the prince who was stealing all his paintings?" Ang recalled. Previously, Ziggy and Xhemin was holding onto the hope that perhaps Huzey was alive and it was he who was stealing all his paintings provided the fact that whoever was stealing those certainly knew the plan of Huzey's underwater museum, which as per the two's knowledge was something only Huzey could possibly know.

"I still believe in that Ang," Xhemin admitted, "I know somehow the stolen artworks were related to Huzey. I believe Huzey and the master thief knew each other. I can't explain it but there's nothing wrong with believing in such right?"

"But couldn't he really be dead?" Ang regretted the words as soon as he uttered them. He knew how sensitive was Xhemin when it came to anything related to Huzey and he certainly didn't want to sponsor such a painful matter.

"To be honest Ang, after all these years, I would lie if I say I didn't doubted my own beliefs about Huzey," Xhemin's put down her spoon and fork to give Ang her full attention. "At first we held on such hope-that Huzey was alive-because that's the only thing that was left of us. It was giving me hope, it was giving Ziggy some hope too,"

Ziggy agreed with her words by not saying anything and allowing Xhemin to continue explaining.

"However, as days goes by, such hope started to fade away and no matter how painful it is, we could do nothing but just let go," Xhemin added with an expression that was rather telling Ang how hard these things were for her, "And I of course, I can nothing but just allow it to go, not until Huzey showed himself. I know you might have your doubts with my claims that Huzey were always visiting me but I promise you, those are not just dreams...they are all real,"

Ang knew what Xhemin meant. He had heard stories about Huzey visiting Xhemin and at first he was doubting it, knowing how Xhemin had undergone depression but when Ziggy started claiming the same he started to reconsider.
