44 Chocking With Blood

The air in the room feeling cold and secluded

The number of ten thousand flas.h.i.+ng through her eyes with no true acknowledgment, she didn't care. She looked at Keir, wanting to see what he was thinking. What he'd do, if he was happy? What was next, what would they do?

Looking at Keir in front of her watching him pace in the room, "So I'm an immortal... I guess we should test this? Maybe?" His voice holding doubt as he spoke looking over at Tsuru.

"Um, yes I do think so." She wasn't too sure about it either, snapping her fingers to summon a knife, " You can try now if you want." Handing it to him slowly, she couldn't help but feel nervous looking at him.

His own hands trembled slightly when taking the knife to his throat, it wasn't until it was dripping blood that he closed his eyes and plunged it into himself all at once. Choking in his own blood for a few minutes, so this was what death was like... Tsuru didn't even say anything at first, expecting the wound to just close on its own and he'd be back on his feet. But as he slowly slides down against the wall she reached out for him.

The blood staining his clothes and hands as he tried to keep it from bleeding. Pulling the knife out as even she tried to help him with the wound. Her hands stained in red as she tried to help, but nothing seemed to work. Neither of them was a doctor, and even if they were, there was nothing to be done.

"Keir!?" She wanted to hear him reply to her, say something to ease her worry. When being met with only silence she grasped onto his arms and tried patching his wound with her hand. Contorted in panic, "Keir? No, this isn't supposed to happen! You're immortal!"

His eyes glued to hers as they slowly lost their s.h.i.+ne, "No! Why is this happening!?" She couldn't notice the tears slipping out her eyes as she held onto him. Feeling herself being pulled away by the lamp, "No! No!"

I JUST WANTED TO BE WITH YOU

Her world slowly being immersed in that red smoke she despised, and only to clear in the empty dark void she couldn't escape, "NO! NO..."

She looked out the hole in the lamp only to see she was in the same room, unable to be heard or noticed. Not even having a clear view of him to only stare at the b.l.o.o.d.y hand that laid sprawled on the floor. The bitter feeling in her head, consuming her all until she saw his arm twitch. Even the slightest movement it was she saw it.

And there it was again! She gasped and tried to reach out to him in a futile effort. He couldn't hear her. He stumbled to get up but eventually managed, still holding a hand to his throat in pure astonishment that he was alive.

"Tsuru?" He looked around for her and saw as she flickered the lamp, making it s.h.i.+ne in the room like a lamp. She didn't think she'd regret something more in her life when she saw the smirk crawl up his face. Feeling her heart drop as he leaned down knowing she could see him, "I'm not surprised you've been so naive Tsuru, how cute. Hm, this all worked out better than I thought. I get to be immortal and ditch you all in the same day."

Hearing his sickening laugh she hid, "I would have kept you around a little longer if this hadn't happened, too bad for you it did. Best of luck beloved, have a lovely eternity." He purposely enunciated in the word eternity. All as he slowly left the room, leaving her forgotten on the ground to wallow in despair.

Curling herself up in the lamp as she sucked in deep breaths, shaking her head. She couldn't believe it, couldn't accept it... couldn't move on...

It wasn't until Allon came into the room that she snapped into reality

Looking at Allon she felt grief, "Maybe I was too strong with Keme, maybe that's why he left."

Allon shook his head at her, "Not exactly. You don't pack tho?"

"I am... what do you think they made him leave?" She asked without looking at him, staring at her clothes and pulling at her s.h.i.+rt, "Because he had said he'd stay with me."

"Keir said he'd stay with you..." Allon brought up, but answered none the less, "You drove him to the point of leaving Tsuru. He got tired of dealing with you."

She didn't reply and just handed him the bag. Hating the fact that he was right, she didn't want to think he wouldn't be in Arabia when they got there. She hated everything all over again, getting up from the bed and walking after Allon, "When do we leave?"

"Now." Taking her hand he took her with him to the car, opening the door for her before getting the bags in and then himself. Looking at Tsuru from the corner of his eye, "He could already count the seconds before she had another mental breakdown.
