25 An Eternity With Each Other

"Oh right, um... lead the way." She unconscious took ahold of his hand, momentarily he was stoic processing what she just did. But seeing her hold him so sure of herself he guided her through the crowd of people that stood at different spots, "Hey, where's Allon?"

Keme looked back at her, "We got separated looking for you. Surely we'll find him, he won't get lost so easily." She hummed in understanding, while he looked her in the eyes while she scanned through the people searching for Allon. In them, he saw mixed emotions, almost like she was lost or empty.

"Is there something on my face?"

"No. You... you seem odd, is everything alright?"

She chuckled at his words, "I don't really think things have ever been alright with me..." she looked up at him pausing her sentence, "Why the look?" His whole demeanor was cold like nothing mattered anymore, or something deeper, she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"What look?" He raised an eyebrow at her feeling we had to slither away from his. Looking at the spot where her hand had been seconds ago.

"That look." She waved across his face, "Reminds me of myself a few months back."

He reached up to touch his face, "I don't know what you mean."

She didn't move from her spot when he started walking off, "Come on Keme! Why do you have to be this way? Don't give me the cold shoulder and just say what you want to say!"

Keme turned around and rolled his eyes looking straight up, "Tsuru, now is not the time!"

"It won't ever be the time with you! So just tell me, tell me how it is, don't soften the blow, don't try and be nice about it."

"Fine! You want to know so badly, well look around you Tsuru!" He grabbed her and rushed her to a corner away from the eyes that started watching them, "Look around and tell me what you see."

"I see people, I see the pyramids, I see electronics! I see many things, but what do you want me to see?"

He growled, "I want you to see things are different, I want you to look around and see for yourself that things aren't what they used to be. The pyramids you helped bring together are a tourist attraction, the people you knew are gone, the world you believed in change. BUT I'M STILL HERE, and I'm trying to guide you through it, I don't want you to go around blindly like me.

I want you to enjoy it, I want you to see what's great in it. Show you things are great around here, take you places, teach you things that took me years to understand." He paused taking in a deep breath, "I want you to see that it's not that bad being around forever..."

She was left speechless by his words trying to say something in return but falling short. Her words wouldn't go past her lips and he looked at her begging to hear something. He waited and waited for her reply to 9nly end in silence.

"Forget about it all, imagine I said nothing at all." He took her hand in his and walked through the area his head hanging low.

Tsuru's eyes stayed glued at him, she very much knew he meant every word, but not as the companion or partner, or even as a friend, she saw it in his eyes, even for a second it was all clear. He said it as someone who cares deeply about her, something that was only described as love.

"Keme-"

"Sh, no. Um, I'm going to call Allon, it'll be quicker than looking around aimlessly for him." He reaches into his pocket releasing his grip on Tsuru, taking out his phone and calling Allon straight away, all the time averting his eyes from Tsuru. Keme paced back and forth on the same spot hearing each and every 'ring' the phone let out.

"h.e.l.lo?" Allon replied.

Keme stopped pacing and straightened up, "Hey, I found Tsuru, where are you?"

"At the entrance of the d.a.m.n place, where did you find her?"

"Never mind that, we're coming to get you, and whatever you do, DON'T MOVE!" ending the call on that note he signaled Tsuru to follow still refusing to look her in the eyes.

Her eyes glistened seeing Keir pace around the room, "Where to Tsuru, we've both obviously been in Arabia, then there's Egypt, Jordan, Iraq..." he continued rambling on while she practically didn't hear him at all watching him speak aimlessly.

"Any idea where to go next?"

The question went through deaf ears as she just smiled and nodded.

"Tsuru, pay attention. Where do we go next?" Keir repeated smiling at her and chuckling at her dazed expression.

She leaned against the wall laying her hand on her head, "Anywhere you want."

"Oh, that's what you always say. Come on pick where to go." He stomped childishly, "I'll go anywhere you want."

"Anywhere?" She asked.

He repeated, "Anywhere."

"I don't care where we go Keir. I'll go anywhere with you." She gave him a grin and moved closer to him, "Besides there's nothing we can't do."

He looked away from his expression that of heartbreak, "There's one thing we can't do... I'm going t die one day Tsuru, and I'm going to lose you."

"No, don't say that! We'll always be together, an eternity with each other!"
