1 The Lamp

"Would someone hurry up and find me!" She yelled.

The thieves who had taken her got killed by her last master's son who proceeded to burn everything that had taken out of anger.

For all those 298 years she had been buried under ashes that later where covered in dirt but could do nothing about it. She thought back in her human life yearning to turn back time.

"How I miss the old days. I'd probably not kill my next master if they manage to dig me out." She spoke to herself as she laughed thinking how ridiculous she must have sound.

"I'm never getting out of this h.e.l.l hole." She said admitting her true feelings.

Just then the earth around the lamp started to move . She knew this feeling, but it wasn't someone digging her out. It was simply another earthquake.

Along the earthquake the ground unleashed the buried lamp out to the surface. It felt odd for Tsuru to feel how the lamp heated up with the sun.

Tsuru hoped someone would pa.s.s by but as the days pa.s.sed she thought she wouldn't be found in another couple of hundred years.

Tsuru looked out the small hole since she was yet able to go out without a master, "The landscape is nothing like I remember it. What could that be though?"

She stared out looking at some kind of metallic object off in the distance. She questioned herself over and over until it suddenly began to move, "Its alive?"

The object crushed anything in its way but then it stopped. To her surprise humans got out from inside the object. It looked as if they had been eaten by them.

"Maybe I can catch their attention." She thought as she tried making the lap s.h.i.+ne like she had done every time to get a new master. She used this technique every time she wanted to catch someone's attention be it thieves, kings or when she got buried in dirt, other objects, etc.

They didn't notice the lamp as they walked past it and cleaned the way for some reason.

"They've become so odd. Why are they even cleaning they're normally much lazier." She thought questioning their actions.

Just as one looked her way she s.h.i.+ned once more. They looked her way with a questioning gaze. Just as they were about to grab the tip of the lamp the other person yelled at them.

"Coming" the man said walking over to their companion.

"There are fallen trees we need machines to move these out." The companion said.

"But we need to get to the other side today." The other replied.

"Well we could try to make some kind of road the other direction." The companion stated.

"No their going to leave!" Tsuru cried out as she could already see herself spending another 300 years in that lamp.

"Give me a minute I had seen something over there." The man told his companion as he walked over to Tsuru's lamp.

He grabbed it and as he cleaned it from the dirt Tsuru came our emerging in red smoke taking her form.

"I am the Genie Tsuru. I'll grant you an infinite amount of wishes." She spoke with pride as she looked down at the man. Which she quickly noticed wasnt a man but a woman dressed in what appeared to be male clothing.

"Ahhhhh...Allon!!" The woman screamed running over to her companion and dropping the lamp.

"Perfect." Tsuru thought as she took her own lamp and hid in the woods. She stared at her master as her companion who apparently went by the name Allon went over to where she had recently floated.

She carefully watched and waited for the perfect moment to kill the woman.

"There's nothing here Evira." Allon stated as he looked back at her.

Evira looked around cautiously, "There was something. It called itself a genie."

Tsuru watched as they spoke about her making sure they were both distracted as she made a giant rock appear a few feet above their heads. She then proceeded to drop it but to her luck the Allon noticed and grabbed Evira successfully get themselves out in time.

"There's definitely something here." Allon spoke.

"We're going to die." Evira cried out.

As soon as they survived numbers flashed before Tsuru's eyes, "37,460."

Tsuru cursed under her breath as she knew that those numbers meant her years as a genie had once again doubled.

It reminded her of the first time she tried to kill one of her master's. It was her forth master and she had decided she would try and kill him. Her first mistake was that she tried to kill him while he possessed her lamp. Her master came out unharmed as the her years doubled from the original 200.

"Show yourself!" Allon screamed.

Tsuru finding no point in trying to kill them while they knew she was around came out. She floated in front of them as she gave her lamp to the woman who took it quickly and hid behind Allon.

"I am the genie Tsuru. I shall grant you an infinite amount of wishes but there's but only one rule. You may not wish for immortality or anything that will extend your life in any way." Tsuru announced.

"You tried to kill us." Allon declared.

"I'm a genie. It doesn't mean I bring good luck. That simply happens when I'm summoned." She lied eyeing the woman who looked pitiful in her eyes.

Evira looked back at her, "how do we know you're really a genie?"

"Oh, I don't know. Make a wish maybe." Tsuru stated annoyed.

"Clear the trail so we can get home." Allon stated.

"I don't take orders from you. I only take orders from my master and that is her not you." Tsuru stated arrogantly.

"Well do what he said." Evira said still hiding behind Allon.

Tsuru rolled her eyes and with a snap of her finger everything was cleared, "enough proof?"

Both Evira and Allon looked at the cleared road with their jaws hanging.

"This is awesome." Evira cheered as she jumped in joy before cowering behind Allon again.
