She knew that Di Fuyi had used some spell on her to knock her out completely. However, she did not want to lose her consciousness! Even if a bottomless abyss in front of her, she wanted to face it with her own eyes!

She tried very hard to protect the state of her mind. She was very powerful now. Hence, she managed to do so! Unfortunately, beyond her mind, Gu Xijiu was in a vegetative state. Di Fuyi took her into the palace and put her into the crystal coffin. He performed a magical array around her. She could sense a light that pierced into her mind which tried to eliminate something in her head. It seemed like he wanted to erase everything that she experienced as Gu Xijiu!

Her consciousness sets a barrier and subconsciously dispersed the light that s.h.i.+ned into her mind. She managed to prevent it from removing her own memories.

No one knew that she had phobia after her memory was washed away by Long Fan when he changed her body. When she recovered that time, she had vowed in her heart that she would never allow anyone to remove her memories!

Because of this, she quietly developed a technique that could be applied to her soul. As long as she was immortal, her memory would never disappear again. No one could erase anything anymore!

That explained why he followed her into the Dark Forest even though she had left her original body behind. What he wanted was not only her original body, but also her soul! No wonder he always forced her to practice and even wanted to marry her. He wanted her awareness soul to be strong enough to fit into this body to bring Lan Jingke back to life. Everything he did for Gu Xijiu was not sincerely for her. It was to bring Lan Jingke back to life. 

And to make matters worse, anything he could not tell her he would claim that it was a top secret from heaven. The story he revealed to her in the past that he was just friends with Lan Jingke and he only loved Gu Xijiu was all bulls.h.i.+t! Everything he did was to achieve this ultimate purpose!

Well, Gu Xijiu, you turned out to be nothing but a little awareness soul in his eyes... Her heart felt like it had been stabbed with a knife. However, this knife was slowly being pieced deeper and deeper. The pain she felt was beyond any physical pain that she had to endure before.
