Chapter 9

Chapter 9: Is the dungeon storage is still not enough?

Well, the production of the stone statue is going smoothly.

The expansion of my home is going well too.

I feel fulfilled.

I feel more alive than I was in my past life before.

I can do whatever I like, eat delicious food (stone) and sleep as much as I want.

It's great to be free.

In my past life, lazing around is nothing but a pipe dream.

That's right. My dream paradise is in the different world.

The progress of my home.

As of now, I have dug up to 13 floors.

There's particularly no need to dig deeper but somehow a bigger house leave a better impression.

So I dig as much as I can.

Nowadays, I'm also committed to the interior.

To start with, I always placed a stone statue inside the room.

After all, a square room with only dirt wall is just tasteless.

I place the stone statue at the centre of the room based on the size of it.

If the room is 5 metres in all direction, I will put a human stone statue.

But if it's bigger, several more will be added.

Furthermore, recently I found a glowing stone.

It's truly a different world since this kind of stuff never exists in the previous world before.

Amazing. It is as bright as LED.

Thanks to this, there's finally light plugged into my home.

Originally, this body can see perfectly even in the dark. But still, I want light.

So I was quite pleased when I found it.

Since it's abundant in some layer, it was placed in each room during the renovation.

It will be the subst.i.tute for the lightbulb.

Occasionally, I will fix a small spotlight pointing the stone statue.

Not only that, I even did my best to pose it.

A sword-wielding pose. As for the dog, I make it look menacing.

The gemstone in the eyes and the claws are perfectly fit.

Especially the dragon stone statue, there’s not only in the eyes but there's also ruby inside the mouth.

The light from the glowing stone made the piece shone brightly as if it was burning.

Un. I did a good job.

Well, I'm the only one to see this.

It feels a bit lonely in here.

Eh?

Did I put the human statue in the room beside?

I'm pretty sure it was the cat ornament…

Whatever.

I might have changed it while I was redecorating the other room.

There's still some place left in my home for commitment.

I challenged myself to turn the wall into wall art by making use of the knowledge from my previous life.

I use white bricks for the wall, decorate the interior similar to a high-end restaurant and create a modern design using black and white tiles. And I did the same for each room.

I tried putting a gimmick.

It's a tiled wall but if you pushed a specific tile, the wall will rotate.

It looks just like a ninja house door trick.

I had a hard time making it.

Well, I'm the only one to use it though.

Even so, there's nothing behind it.

Still, you see, the room behind the wall can be used effectively as a storage for the stone statue that didn't fit.

With storage room on each side of rotating wall for the stone statue in the middle, it's perfect for when changing the interior of the room.

It's a setup that improves the efficiency when redecorating.

With that's done, should I extend my home today?

I've dug up to 13 floors, isn’t this enough s.p.a.ce already.

Yup. I mean, it’s too big.

For the first time in a while. How about I stop digging for today.

Mostly, the room was decorated from the level 5 to level 10.

The upper layer above is a crude, rugged bare ground that I’ve made before.

I was thinking of redecorating the floor above similar to the one on the middle floor. A firm stone room.

Although there's no one to show, I think it's important to look good.

With that said, let's go.

I've arrived at the first underground floor.

It's been a while.

Somehow, the air feels cleaner than the deep floor.

Compared to now, I clearly understood the feeling of not used being exposed to mud wall.

I think I understand how the manga artist feels like looking back at his old work.

Ah, this stone sure brings back the memory.

It's a round stone that I used as a calendar.

I quit doing it after about a month.

Speaking of which, how long has it been since then?

The time is kinda vague when you're living underground.

Now then, let's head to the entrance first.

Hmm…?

I heard a rustle.

The rustling creature then lets out a shriek.

There's something here.

But what is it?

By any chance, did the monster came here to attack?

Let's approach it slowly.

After so long, the sunlight stings my eyes.

Taking a close look at it.

That is….

Laying there was an injured animal, a giant ant.
